  8. Internazionale vs Chelsea Chelsea face José Mourinho's Inter Milan during their pre-season tour of America. Match chat here!
  9. If he joins Citeh, we've got Ivanovic, Mancienne, Alex and Carvalho for the centre-back positions. Not bad when you think about it. But the fact of the matter is he won't leave.
  10. I'm glad UEFA have seen (some) sense and reduced the bans, but the wrong party is still being punished. I can only think all the injustice Chelsea have suffered over the years in Europe is going to bite Platini hard on the backside when Abramovich finally gets his hands on the trophy.
  11. Here's to Citeh surpassing all expectations next season and finishing in midtable. Okay, they've got a pretty formidable frontline, but who's gonna play in defence? Tevez right-back with Robinho in the middle? They will leak goals like no tomorrow. Adebayor, Robinho and company don't bother tracking back to defend. As soon as they play someone like Stoke and get bullied around, the egos will size up against each other.
  12. I'm glad they've taken Shevchenko and Pizarro. They are two players who I really hope get a second chance to prove themselves.
  13. Interesting view. I'll still hate him if he leaves. But we were saying the same about Frank last summer, before he signed a new deal.
  14. We don't know Terry's motives for leaving, if any exist. No need to criticise him for it. Yet. But I agree, Sturridge is a player who actually has a brain. He knows he isn't going to be first choice, and that in itself offers some motivation for him to improve as a footballer.
  15. I see your point, but I then repeat one of my earlier points. During the Cup of Nations, for example, it is highly likely he will play as our holding midfielder. True, we could blood a youngster, but if we came up against the likes of Liverpool and suddenly on the day of the game, either Mikel or Essien pulls out, we have Belletti to fill in. I think his experience can also help the younger players develop as well.
  16. Sturridge was going to have 18, but he's swapped to 23. Saw it on Blues News yesterday.
  17. I think it would be a massive mistake to let Belletti go. I really can't see people's reasoning for wanting to sell the player. Belletti is 32, and seems happy to retire at the Bridge. For that reason, we won't have much to gain from selling him at all. He'd only fetch around £1 million on the transfer market since he isn't a regular. However, that is why I want to keep him. Belletti is a model professional. He tries his hardest when he gets his chances to play, and scores some very, very important goals for the club. He doesn't moan about not playing every match; he doesn't criticise the club or the manager; he keeps his head down. He is happy being a squad player, and come the Cup of Nations, we will need him. Mikel and Essien are going away on international duty, so who is going to cover? Mancienne? A player who's made a couple of starts for the club; none of them in that position? Belletti is experienced and efficient, and he doesn't take him a massive salary like Ballack or Shevchenko. He's the right sort of player to have at the club, and he's a fans' favourite. He always gets one of the loudest cheers, and people sing his name even when he isn't on the pitch. Your thoughts?
  18. We won't sell Belletti. I hope. He's too much of a good squad player. Doesn't complain, gets his head down and tries his hardest. Model professional. Plus we'd only get £1 million at most for him; he's 32 and seems happy at the club, besides.
  19. Bruce Buck promised a "marquee" signing. Whoever that is, the club are going to get him, without doubt. We can hope it is Aguero.
  20. I hope there is, its always a nice day for the fans and players alike. I remember Blue Day Out in 2006 which was very, very enjoyable, I can't see any reason why there won't be one.
  21. Spot on, mate. Shows ambition for the game, rather than ambition for riches.
