Booing is terrible to be honest. Fair enough it was frustrating and we were all angry, but I thought that it was one of the best team performances at home this season, along with Wolves.

Miralem Pjanic is by far better than Gael Kakuta. The lad's as good as Juninho ever was for Lyon. They're not in the best state financially at the moment. But £15 million? No chance, they'd push for another ten million because he's such a massive talent and another £5million because we're Chelsea. I highly doubt we'd get him but if we did it#d be a brilliant signing, he's only 20 for god's sake.

Quite possibly the best midfielder playing in France at the moment. £15 million is a bargain.

All I'll say is LOL.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of reaction Grant gets. Polite applause from the Shed, the East and West Stands, and a chorus of boos from the Matthew Harding Lower, perhaps?

Look, just take a minute to consider how flukey and lucky Everton's goals were. For the first goal, it took a fortuitous flick off of Terry onto the post and then onto Cech's back. Purely bad luck. For the second goal it was Terry and Carvalho at fault; they both fluffed their opportunities to clear. The Carvalho was lying on the floor; the ball took a wicked bounce off of him and Yakubu fired past Cech. The third goal was Drogba relieving the pressure but by doing so, the ball took a deflection off Saha and then looped over Cech. Mistakes; yes. But pure bad luck as well! We could make exactly the same mistakes later on in the season but get away with them. All I'll say is get on with it; its one game.

Cudicini, perhaps? Although he wanted to leave it was a mistake us selling Carlo imo. He might never have had that accident too...

I didn't say we have to. But United will be kicking themselves for failing to take advantage of our slip up. Psychologically speaking, that's a bigger boost for us than for both teams to have actually won. United have been on our coat tails all season and have looked as formidable as we have. But we're three points clear. Chelsea's next eight matches in the Premier League: Portsmouth (h) West Ham (a) Birmingham (a) Fulham (h) Hull (a) Sunderland (h) Birmingham (h) Burnley (a) There's no reason we can't get eight successive wins from these fixtures. Birmingham away and Sunderland at home are potential banana skins, but if we're being realistic about winning the title then 24 points from 24 is the only acceptable possibility. We have to be beating this calibre of opponent.

West Ham United vs Chelsea Petr Cech saves Mark Noble's penalty in a 1-0 win for Chelsea last season. Opponents: West Ham United Venue: Upton Park Date: Sunday 20 December 2009 Kick-off: 4 PM Chelsea travel to Upton Park looking for a fifth consecutive win away to West Ham. Chelsea have been imperious so far this season but since December have stuttered slightly; drawing three and losing the other of their four games during the month. A Premier League triple-header against Portsmouth, West Ham and then Birmingham City may be a welcome return to form for Carlo Ancelotti's men, although in a tough London derby it will be far from easy for the Blues. Match chat here.

I don't think dropping him will help his confidence somehow.

Hmm, I'll have to leave this one to Jim; I don't want to mess around with the skin too much in case he kills me.

Full-time United 0-1 Aston Villa
-
I agree, since his injury Cech is nowhere near the goalkeeper he used to be. He's still bloody good though.
-
If Villa win/draw, I'll be just as angry as it will mean its a wasted opportunity!
-
Cech's confidence is absolutely shot at the minute. I'm not suggesting dropping him but he needs to get his act together IMO, he hasn't looked so great in recent weeks.
-
We've certainly been pants so far this month! But looking at our next nine games, we should be winning all of them. If we do, things won't look so bad from our point of view
-
Well Villa are beating United so its not all bad.

Chelsea conceded three times as Everton secured an unlikely point at Stamford Bridge. The Blues had conceded just once at home all season in the Premier League, but fell behind early on when the ball bounced in off the post and on to the unfortunate Petr Cech for an own goal. Chelsea responded through Didier Drogba's stunning drive and Nicolas Anelka gave the Blues a 2-1 lead. However Yakubu equalised for Everton on the stroke of half-time, and a Louis Saha header earned the Toffees a share of the spoils after Drogba had earlier given the hosts the lead. The result means Chelsea's lead at the top of the table could be reduced to merely goal difference should Manchester United beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford, and the Blues' perfect home record has also been cancelled out. Chelsea dominated the match but their defending was at times comical. Despite doing more than enough to ensure a victory, the hosts conceded three goals from dead ball situations that will underline their recent defensive frailties - Chelsea have now conceded ten goals in their last four matches, and five in their last two at home. Chelsea were still reeling from the injury to Michael Essien, sustained in Wednesday's 2-2 draw with APOEL Nicosia, and the hosts clearly missed the presence and drive of the Ghanaian midfielder. Chelsea have failed to win a match since their demolition of Arsenal last month, and have now either lost or drawn their last four games. And this intriguing encounter - a repeat of last season's FA Cup final - could not have gotten off to a worse start for Chelsea as they fell behind after just eleven minutes as Louis Saha's header was flicked on to the post and went in off of Cech. However Chelsea responded in a fashion typical of their performances under Ancelotti, and equalised through a sumptuous Drogba effort after Ricardo Carvalho and Frank Lampard combined to tee up the Ivorian striker for his 17th goal of an exquisite season. And Stamford Bridge erupted into a cacophony of noise as Anelka poked home from close range after Branislav Ivanovic had flicked on a corner from Lampard to give Chelsea a deserved 2-1 lead. The Blues were good value for the scoreline, and besides the scoreline indicating otherwise, had totally dominated Everton and in truth warranted a greater scoreline in their favour. But Chelsea failed to clear a Diniyar Bilyaletdinov long throw, which Yakubu smashed home from close range after both Terry and Carvalho failed to clear the immediate danger. Almost undeservedly, Everton had restored parity - and it was the first touch of substitute Yakubu, who replaced the crocked Jo only moments before. Nevertheless, just ten minutes into the second half, Chelsea were back in the lead as Ivanovic's cross was expertly volleyed home by Drogba after Tony Hibbert had failed to clear. Yet back came Everton again as Johnny Heitinga's freekick into the box was headed on to Saha's forehead by Drogba, and the ball looped over Cech to make it 3-3. It was a highly fortuitous goal for the visitors, but the Chelsea defence and goalkeeper will need to take a long, hard look at themselves for conceding such a soft goal. The Blues pinned Everton back into their half for the remaining twenty five minutes, and Michael Ballack almost found the winner but he dragged his shot wide of the post from outside the area. The draw means Chelsea have dropped point at home for the first time at home since April - again versus the Merseysiders. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said that he was "happy with the performance of the team but not the result." A win for Manchester United would mean that the invincible-looking Chelsea side that dispatched Arsenal and Sir Alex Ferguson's team last month would be top of the table by the virtue of goal difference only. The rot goes on; yet fear the backlash. Portsmouth visit Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, and few would bet against the Blues returning to winning ways against the Premier League's bottom-placed team. Looking at the Blues' upcoming fixtures, anything other than nine wins from nine will be acceptable. The pressure is on. ___________________________________________________________________ Chelsea (4-4-2): Cech; Ivanovic, Carvalho (Belletti 85), Terry ©, A Cole; Mikel (Borini 87); Ballack, Lampard; J Cole (Malouda 75); Anelka, Drogba Everton (4-4-2): Howard ©; Hibbert, Neill, Heitinga, Baines; Pienaar, Rodwell, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov; Jo (Yakubu 45+2), Saha (Agard 90+3) The TalkChelsea.net Man of the Match was Chelsea's number 11 - Didier Drogba

Well let's be realistic we're not going to win all of our games and neither are United. We just need to beat the bastards in their own back yard now.
-
If we don't hammer Portsmouth on Wednesday and then West Ham on Sunday by at least four goals we might as well give United the title.
-
What an utter shambles.
-
3-3! Fucking shit defending AGAIN.

THIS IS FUCKING FARCICAL!
