  1. From the Belgian press, I translated it for you guys: Father Thierry Hazard: 'Eden takes a logical step' Father Thierry Hazard was in Italy yesterday where his second son Thorgan is playing with the Belgian U19 squad in an elite tournament. It was there he heard that his oldest son, Eden, announced his choice for Chelsea. Thierry was ofcourse happy with the transfer. 'Ofcourse you're proud when your child will be playing for such a topteam.', Thierry says. 'After al these years in France, Eden was due for a new challenge and finally he's making this logical step. With Lille he conquered France. He reached his top there. The Premier League is the best competition in the world. In Spain you have that eternal dual between Barcelona and Real Madrid, but Eden will have the opportunity to evolve both technicaly as physically in Engeland'
  2. Btw guys, did you see how brilliant/arrogant he took his penalty's last friday against Montenegro? http://www.sporza.be/permalink/1.1310587
  3. Don't know when the Belgian squad is travelling to England, but maybe Hazard can leave a day before that to announce the deal? Really doubt any official announcements will be made today.
  4. So Chelsea just buying the Belgian squad eh? Why not add Fellaini while you're still at it.
  5. Really doubt Hazard will like to share the spotlight with Hulk and viceversa.
  6. His French tweet simply said: "more this afternoon".
  7. Just want to say that he posted this tweet first in French and he's a bit more specific there. In French he talks about 'cette aprรจs-midi', which he translates into 'later' but actually means 'this afternoon'.
  8. Hmm, he's supposed to be in Belgium so I really don't think he took a medical. :/
  9. He played a good game for Belgium. Not superb, but it was clear he was the player with the most qualities on the pitch.
  10. If any of this 200k per week is true, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 200k EUR and not pounds. Still a lot though. (ยฃ160k/week to be precise)
  11. You guys do know that it's very probable that Hazard is not demanding anything, but left all of the financial negotations up to his managers? Hazard seems arrogant, but actually that's more ignorance than arrogance. I'm pretty sure he didn't speak with any club personally yet and that it's just his managers who want to get as many $'s as possible. Don't call him a dick before you know 100% what is going on, especially when he might still sign at Chelsea.
  12. Would be awesome if he could play an incredible game against England June 2nd.
  13. In the Belgian press he also says that his chances for getting a loan next season are 50-50. He will, just like Kevin De Bruyne, go on pre-season with Chelsea in the USA. They will both try to convince RDM (or the new manager) that they have the qualities to be an important player for Chelsea, if given an honest chance. I think the last line says it all: "if given an honest chance". Which he didn't get imo till now. But Lukaku thinks it will be different next season because this year he came to Chelsea after all the pre-season stuff. Now he's with the squad from the beginning.
  14. I'm pretty sure these clauses still apply for the rest of his contract. Not for just one year. They're not stupid at Anderlecht.
  15. If he scored, he might have gotten that start. Now, I doubt it. For Chelsea, 4-1 or 4-2 isn't a big difference. For Lukaku himself, it could have given him a boost and an opportunity. Real shame he missed it.
  16. Oh c'mon, he just got his first minutes for the first team in what - 20 games?
  17. Go Romelu! Not easy to make an impact in a 4-1 losing game, but do your best!
  18. "R_Lukaku Romelu, what is the plan next year, are you going to be going out on loan?โ€ -will talk at the end of the season
  19. Any realistic chance to see Lukaku on the bench since Drogba is injured?
  20. If you want to pronounce it 100% correctly, go to Google Translate. Set to Dutch, type 'De Bruine' and click on the speaker. You will hear the woman pronounce it more or less like it should be.
  21. He is correct. Lukaku has cost Chelsea about 12 million EUR but if he starts scoring goals in official games, the fee could get to a maximum of 20 million EUR. I don't agree though that a loan back to Anderlecht would have been better. Seven months training with the stars of Chelsea really did him good. He looks supersharp. In the last friendly game of Belgium he got half an hour playtime and replaced the topscorer from Greece. He did more than in those 30 minutes than Mirallas in 60 or so. So no, it hasn't been a complete waste of time. It could have been better if he got some more gametime. But he'll hopefully get that next year at a stable PL side.
  22. Keeps scoring for reserves. Still unhappuy though that his situation under Di Mateo doesn't seem to get better. Worse, in fact. Didn't get a single minute yet. He's not on the bench ofcourse tonight, he just got back from Newcastle.
  23. Some rumours going on that three Premier League sides (Chelsea, Manchester United & Manchester City) are fighting for Belgian international Axel Witsel. Source: http://www.insidefut...l-witsel/59292/ A vague source, but Witsel is an amazing talent, young but so mature on the ball and one of the best players in the Belgian national team. Also doing very well at Benfica and is always a first team player at his Portuguese club. His biggest quality is his capability to keep possession while under pressure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nobmN4v9Jpg
