I dont like that.The apporach and the strategy the managers wants is crucial before every match, if you want to play a defensive approach even a 343 will be look like a 523 the whole match, just like our 4231 looked like a 6-3-1 since Rami and Lampard were in a very defensive positions most of the time. 433 is a very flexible formation, could change to a simple 442 in defensive position but if you want to build from the back, there is a difference playing with a 41212 than a 442 or a 443.Just like in the 2004-2005 season when we played against some sides with a 41212 formation (Just look at Bolton-Chelsea) against others, we used more pacey players on the wings in a 433 because we have to adept and play the strongest formation to suit the players we want to field.Drogba did not play much with Eidur when we played with only one striker (even if at times Gudjohnsen played with Lampard in midfield) and when we use the two strikers at the same time there is one winger or even two that are sacrificed in that match because we needed different profile to score.

I dont understand why some here are complaining, Eto'o may be a different player since the Barcelona days, but I thought with the Drogba episode, with Pirlo at Juventus, with Gerrard at Liverpool and Lampard-Terry here that, age is only a number.He played behind Lacina Traore I heard, thats what influenced his goalscoaring stats, nevertheless, technically he is by far much better that our three strikers, his agility remained intact.He may lost some of his pace at his age, but pace isnt everything for a striker, look at van Persie with his finishing, that's what we need and Eto'o offers that.His main work here is to play in the proper way with our attacking midfielders, and finish the actions when he has the possiblity, something both Ba and Torres failed to do. He is costing us money, but in the same time we'll allow Ba or Torres to go which will appease the transfert, very good buy.

Mourinho is a double UCL winner and won 20 titles in ten years, he deserves more respect and more confidence than Rafael Benitez, simple. Eto'o is past it ? So was Drogba in his last two years but still contributed to massive wins, I expect the same with Eto'o.

I still think its money thrown.Yes he will add depth and quality but we were and we are overloaded with quality upront, we defensive need quality and i'm not happy with Essien and Mikel as defensive midfields, Ramires is very good in that role but wont start all the matches.

Eto'o is a top class striker.A winner is a player who scores important goal and Eto'o scored important goals, there isnt much players like him, the RVP and Lewandowski may be top strikers, but are not winners.

And so is Sideshow Bob. If you support a player, it means you are not hating the player, and that's the most important things.Love will come if he scores important goals and show passion and commitement, we need winners and Samuel is one.
