  1. Did you even read my post you fucking idiot?
  2. £5 match ticket £20 return train ticket My wallet contents: a few silver coins are visible. I'd estimate £2. A maxed out credit card and a maxed out overdraft on my current account  I wont be attending any matches, or buying ANY CFC merchandise until I can sort my fucking finances out. I imagine a lot of people who are stuck on here watching piss poor quality streams (because they don't have Sky, let alone Chelsea TV) are in a similar situation. Although if anyones got a spare ticket, and a spare return train ticket from kgx then I'll be there..anyone?
  3. Yeah, Terry isn't known to joke around at all, is he? J.Cole has been one of our most important players for a long time, he is always driving the team forward and fist pumping when the other players aren't showing the same dedication as him. Him and Essien were two leaders on the field during the Grant era when a lot of players just wanted to jump ship and follow Mourinho to Inter. I agree Ballack is a superior option for 3rd captain, but clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about on this forum.
  4. Our alleged planned "marquee" signing definitely wont be Sneijder unfortunately - he was removed from the list of players Real were looking to sell. We should have moved instantly when he was listed as for transfer imho, he's a class act. Would be happy to trade Deco for Pirlo but it would delay Mikel's development by what.. 2, 3, 4 years? I'd like to hope that if we are to sign only one more player then it's a different type of player to any of those though, someone to duke it out with J.Cole for a slot in RM/AM. Ribery, basically. But there's no chance of that tbh. And yeah, I don't think Essien is eluding to anything about a transfer at all.
  5. As long as Deco isn't persistently played, out of form, as a winger then I'll be happy tbh. There's not much you can do wrong with the quality players available. Even Grant couldn't sink us.
  6. His best days are definitely behind him; he'll never take on players for fun again. But still, he looked classy today. Wouldn't have minded him at Chelsea if we could have got him for a low price; would've added a little silk to our efficient style of play. And he'd be worth it just for the set pieces, tbh. But yeah, I think the slow pace in Italy makes it much easier for him to look top class again. I think Eto'o will do great out there as well. Anelka would do great out there too, come to think of it.
  7. Cech - 8.5 Bosingwa - 8.5 Terry - 7 Ivanovic - 6.5 A.Cole - 7.5 Mikel - 7.4999 Zhirkov - 7.5 Belletti - 6 Lampard - 7 Drogba - 8 Anelka - 7 Shevchenko - 6.5 Pizarro - 5.5 Mancienne - 5.5 This is as far as my memory goes
  8. Pizarro not as bad as I remember so far tbh. Shevchenko doing alright, I just wish people would pass it to him more. Zhirkov, A.Cole, and Bosingwa are looking to be our only players to get behind the opposition defense and they're doing a great job at it too. Keeping those three fit is going to be key next season. Thinking about it, the most important player for us to sign is not Aguero or Pato but Ribery or similar. Someone else on the right to get behind the defense with Bosingwa. That would complete our team, imho.
  9. Kalou massively lacking in confidence. Essien needs a lot of minutes yet. Malouda and A.Cole doing very well. Ivanovic and Essien not so much. Frank our best player so far
  10. I thought Drogba was intent on leaving at the end of his contract? But I will be very pleased if he stays on. J.Cole is underrated always, until he actually plays. What team does TerminatorX support?
  11. Ferreira can go if he wants more game time. He hasn't got many years left at the top level and he's good enough to play first team football at a lot of top clubs. Nevermind players leaving, we need to bring in a top class winger/striker. An alternative to Robinho, basically.
  12. Spot on decision. Still wish we'd got Alves back when Jose was here, but Bosingwa has been sensational all the same. As someone said above both our signings been player of the month at the club so far, a far cry from what has happened in the past with our signings. Credit to Grant, Bosingwa was a great signing.
  13. On the plus side this might convince the hippies that decided to give up the shed that we should have it back
  14. Any ideas where I could get a reasonably priced ticket for this game? I've never been to an away game, its probably about time I did considering i've just moved up North! (York University)
  15. Ballack and Drogba score 5 goals, one of which is a Ballack penalty. Rooney bobbles in a goal after stomping on Carvalho's nuts but this time the ref misses it and Ronaldo is on the wrong team to do the winking. We win 5-1 but Carvalho can never have any children. I'll take that, sorry Carvalho
  16. Reckon I can just show up and buy a ticket? Tempted to...
  17. My player ratings: Cech: 7 Somehow kept out kaboul, never afraid to dive in like a madman to catch a ball. in essence his usual self Bosingwa: 7 Would be 8 but had one or two rusty moments in defense A. Cole: 7 No longer embarasses himself when ever he gets the ball in a position high up the pitch. Carvalho: 7 Some blatant shirt pulling but other than that did his usual quiet and under-rated job at the back. Terry: 7 Great positioning and distribution as ever to help cut out the use of Crouch as a target man. Mikel: 7 Less aggressive than Makelele but has better technique and vision. Deep lying playmaker who wasn't afraid to make some very powerful runs forward. Only downside was his long range shooting which I felt he rushed - he had more space ahead of him to run into but he didn't have the composure to hold onto the ball any longer. Better than Anderson's shooting, anyway : Lampard: 8 Usual self, scored a penalty Ballack: 8 Despite having hardly any match practice he was heavily involved and setup a goal. Shooting was a bit wayward, but it will improve. Deco: 9 Always there in defense, attack, and everything in between, our most important player on the day and got himself on the scoresheet. A poor tackle which should of been yellow-carded is the only thing stopping him from getting a 10. J. Cole: 8 Started to run out of steam at the end of last season but is back to the brilliant form that led him to be our player of the season last year. Got on the scoresheet, made some clever runs, provided endless trickery and was in general very good. Anelka: 7 Got himself on the scoresheet, was always trying to get involved, and could've had a hattrick if he had his shooting boots on and were it not for some brilliant keeping from James. Would of probably done better if James wasn't wise to his tricks (always trying to round the keeper). A completely different player to what we experienced last season. Subs: Malouda: 6 Much improved on last season, I think he put in a great cross accross the goal as well that someone should of tapped in. But on the whole not involved enough to get 7+. Ferreira: 6 Reliable at the back as ever. Good distribution from deep. But no real intent or ability up the pitch. Wright-Phillips: 6 Took players on and cut inside instead of trying to cross (exactly what he needs to do considering his lack of consistent crossing), passed the ball around with Deco to give Deco his shooting chance. Not good enough for a 7 really though. Very pleased with our new signings. They both provide exactly what little we needed - we now have balanced full backs for once (they both attack and defend with similar ability, both are quick, etc) and Deco gave us more creativity/passing/vision. This season is looking very bright indeed
  18. Lets hope next time he throws in some "Drogba is a diving wanker" comments; we know how far that got Benitez
  19. I leaned over to pick up a drink... AND MISS THE GOAL WTF
  20. Anyone have a video of the whole match? I'm so annoyed I missed it
  21. To see the boys lifting any trophy again would be great The club and players seem to value the CL most, so I hope they win it and we can see Terry crying in a very different manner! Personally though I'd like to see us knock Utd off of there PL pedestal
  22. My favourite Chelsea player, does the most work for the team and deserves more money than this. But if he's happy with 80k a week at least the money saved can go towards cancelling out the 30m blown on Shevva
