You were so dismissive of Ballack being out of the WC, saying Germany isn't going to win it anyway. Imagine if he's Irish, you'd be screaming murder then. The point is, it isn't about not winning it, it's about playing in it.
My goals for us would be the first 2: retain the title and win the CL. Interesting history for Carlo. I REALLY hope it repeat itself for him, and especially for us, next season.
He's also not saying that Chelsea will not be trying to sign him. He said "this is not an issue for now." What will he say next month or after the WC? Maybe Anelka won't be offered a new contract even though it's gonna expire very soon.
Yes, he has his negatives but his positives far outweigh the former. Also, it's great that when he attends a game, he claps when we scored and flinches when we missed a chance.
For: - Appointing Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti as our managers. - The transfer funds for some of our key players like DD and Essien. - Investing in the youth system and infrastructure. - Saving us from bankruptcy. - Not being an owner like the ones Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal or Portsmouth have. In short, we're really lucky to have Roman as our owner.
No, just because we're an English club, it doesn't mean we should. We're a big club now and all the other big clubs in Europe have won it (except Arsenal). The CL is definitely much more prestigious than the FA. And it'd be awesome to make a record of being the first London based club to win it, too.
Yeah, that and proving that they will be given their fair share of chances in the first team. Hopefully next season it will happen and Carlo stick to his words.
