My guess is Sturridge was being booed for his selfishness. He wasn't the only player that didn't play well, but whenever he has a chance to find a teammate he takes a stupid shot, a la Malouda. They were Torres chants because he pretty much set up the winner, no?

It always has to be connected to Torres. Torres has been playing way better than Sturridge recently. Any player that isn't playing well gets stick, some people on this site just like to make a big deal out of it, blaming some "fans" and other stupid excuses.

He has really struggled since the injury in December/January. Definitely not the same player than started the season scoring for fun.

I remember calling for him to be sold last summer (based on his performances last season) before he got injured, but no that didn't happen, he got another freaking injury and is far far away from the player he used to be. Wonder who'd even want to buy him?!
