  1. liked him. gave it his all, but like ollie said seemed to always show the nerves...i think he has had enough chances to impress but didn't make it - but hey its not high school and not everyone passes....can't fault him for giving it a go and i hope he does well at city...
  2. people make mistakes...takes a man to own up....top post
  3. random thoughts on the matter... knew it was coming as he was there as a temp only... the bloke grew on me a bit, seemed nice enough, enjoyed that he stayed under the radar for the most part, but was out of his element at this level... didnt like the way he got the job so what goes around comes around... kenyon is certainly a tit, lied about jose staying, lied about grant staying....switching managers fine - but saying one thing and doing another makes us a look like a joke... wouldnt mind hiddink coming in...
  4. i will be supporting spain since i live here and have friends and family from spain - although i want them to win im also prepared for the regular dose of disappointment... wouldnt mind seeing the dutch do well either.... just as long as france and italy get knocked out
  5. its encouraging to hear that keyon is looking at younger players with potential to be stars...i much more prefer this then signing older players with hyped up names...we have enough veteran leadership at the moment anyway... if the upper management is serious about changing our style of play then we probably need at least these 3 things to happen 1) drogba to be sold and a new striker to be bought - or - somebody to pair up with drogba and a switch to 4-4-2 - not sure if anelka is the right man for this 2) a new manager with experience 3) an exciting and speedy winger to be bought i think drogs is gone though as you get the feeling that after the red card he is a lame duck now just like jose was...at this stage of his career, considering the change that management seems to want to make - and his actions/attitude this season im guessing he is gone...
  6. you said 'terry the idiot of the night' - just how are we suppose to misunderstand you? everyone is gutted but if you praise players when they do well and slag them when the falter then you're just a muppet for fuck sakes...
  7. seriously...you lot who are shittin on Chelsea or the lads right now are hollow man....christ...its god damn penalties...could have gone either way...this is not a player or managerial fuck up...its penatlies - a flip of the coin - so cut the lads some slack.... we played well and there is also the option of being gracious losers and congratulating man you.... support is a fickle thing eh? seems its always there when you win but rarely there when you lose...
  8. geez common lads....nothing to be ashamed about losing in penalties...its a god damn crap shoot....you might as well flip a coin....who cares if jt or kalou or anelka should have taken it - if youre at this level and you cant shoot a penalty then crikey - you win some you lose some - it was just bad luck...ronaldo has missed twice in the last month and he is the world player of the year!!!! im proud of the lads...from about 35 mins on we donimated the game...could have won with a little more luck - but thats what it is in a one game play-off....so be it...im proud to be a Chelsea fan today... and drogba was stupid but nobody can argue the ref wasnt harsh with his decision - especially since he did nothing to tevez for giving out noogies during the game...but shit happens and we wouldnt have been in the final without drogba - so yea.... a good fight.... KTBFFH
  9. man the excitement is too much! love it though... hosting a little get together with friends to watch the match...living in spain there are not too many Chelsea fans...1 is an Arse fan, 1 is a Barca fan and 2 others are neutrals...luckily I have enough CFC shirts for everyone
  10. In no particular order some of my favs... Being John Malcovich Memento Gladiator Matrix Saving Private Ryan Pulp Fiction Life is Beautiful Usual Suspects Goodfellas Das Boot Heat Hero haha - goonies - love that movie... avram's long lost cousin?
  11. i agree at times he hasnt looked that great...but tossing him aside is not the answer either. Not only is it a waste of money but a waste of a player. Most attcking players take time to adjust to the EPL - especially if they are not the focus of attack. I'm sure he was unsettled with the Jose thing too. Give him time - he has quality.
  12. I think this is probably the most important game we have had although it is hard to argue with some of the previous examples. And as somebody said - different games have different meanings. I really enjoy the format, the difficulty of this competition of having to be your best on the day of, and the flair and flavour of playing the best of europe. To win the league you only have a very small margin of error. To win the CL you might have even less. Although both are extremely difficult in their different ways, if you take into account that the worlds eye's will be on us - and the fact we haven't won it before - yea I would say its the biggest.
  13. yep...i dont know what happened to the old TC - something with money or something? anyway....when it shut down i was reading (hardly posting) at cfc.net as i find it can be a bit stuffy at that place if you know what i mean...found you guys again a little while ago but i have been on sabatical this year in spain, surfing everyday and more or less taking a break from the old daily routine - and quite frankly been a lazy bugger - but yea have gotten my act together to register and post again.....so yea..its me...glad to see TC going again with many of the familiar crew still here... cheers craig
