Isn’t it obvious? [emoji185]
-
Exactly, he can keep his style with much inferior team then I’ll call him stupid.
-
Come on, don’t be this naive, take a look at the “resources” he has possessed over the past decades. Give him Stoke and let’s see how he plays his beautiful attacking style of football shall we? All I’m asking is give Frank more time before you draw any definite conclusions and he isn’t doing that bad so far.
-
Using Man City as a reference, that the team are stacked with players for every fucking position, compare to ours last season plus two games this season. Okay... fair enough.
-
That’s exactly what I’m talking about, I don’t think he’s trying to change the style “in big picture” like you all said, for this game can you fault him for being pragmatic knowing the fact that they’re the champion of last year with full squad and we’re missing players? He twitched the tactic to a certain difficult game you say he doesn’t have a philosophy, he kept using the same tactic you say he’s stubborn, I dunno how you fans can be pleased really.
-
So for two matches only you can definitely see he’s changing our style? Ironically that’s not very big picture I’ll say. Of course Man City will change their style of play from playing against Fulham with full squad to playing against Bayern with key players missing.
-
Again, you draw this conclusion from only two matches? Without Pulisic and Willian? Against the champ where we played pretty solid until one man down? It’s an infinite loop I guess just agree to disagree.
-
This is getting ultra ridiculous, I’m out. [emoji2961]

One match mate, you can’t take one match against the champion of last year to draw such conclusion. Especially without our main ball carriers Pulisic and Willian, yes Willian, like it or not despite his inefficiency in the final third he was pretty critical for us to carry the ball forward.
-
If with the available players we have for this match, we still go out there to do gung ho style, I would call that tactical naive, which was one of Frank’s shortcomings last season. So yes, I’m happy with it and I’m not gonna drag Mou and Conte into the conversation, deep down you know they’re different.
-
Unpopular opinion, I can even see he has improved his tactical maturity a bit. Instead of going all gung ho in the big matches last season, people might call me crazy, I was kinda happy to see his conservative setup last night.
-
We weren’t too bad last season with all things considered right? This season, only 2 matches played, I don’t think it’s a fair sample size to make deep analysis but if you want to, I would like to say we have improved our defense collectively except those individual errors which were random and unpredictable. Offensively yes we looks poorer but spare in mind that we are missing our two major ball carriers in Pulisic and Willian, and the new boys Werner and Havertz still need time to adapt. Personally I think we played pretty well before the red card and arguably we had created more chances in the first half.

Completely disagree with the whole post. Use Kepa over Willy is stubborn? Can you guarantee Willy wouldn’t make mistakes? It’s not like dropping C.Ronaldo for Marko Marin you know. Just because Kepa did a shit show doesn’t mean you can falsely accuse Frank’s choice of GK. They are both shit, you can only blame the team didn’t sign a decent GK soon enough. And what’s it to do with Frank about Kepa “disrespected” Sarri, you’re clutching at straws here. There’s no IFs, Ziyech Chilwell Silva indeed haven’t played, can you see them on the pitch? Let them play first, end of story. So far Frank is nothing special as a manager but also not that bad as you proclaimed, at least he lead us to 4th with a team that was pretty much written off by everyone.
-
Sorry for misreading your post about the game you mentioned. Just agree to disagree. I saw we have created few decent chances through ground work just didn’t execute them properly by Timo and Kante.
-
What’s the result in that game then? 4:1 down, Pulisic’s individual brilliance bailed us out and climbed back to 4:3 then lost 5:3 final score. Play possession football doesn’t guarantee us don’t concede with shit defense setup and shit GK does it?
-
But this is only our second game this season, against the scums (I hate keep calling them the champion but they are sadly), and we played possession football for most of the games last season, I don’t see the inconsistency in this regards.
-
Wait, you don’t seriously expect us to play the same “trying to dominate Brighton” tactic against the scums do you? Even the scums played much less aggressive against us than their last match against Leeds.
-
Count me one, I also think for the first 44 mins we played much better than the Brighton game and Havertz improved his plays quite a lot with linkups, passes and runs into space. IIRC we have more chances than the scums to make attempts in the first half.
-
What’s wrong to keep a draw with 10 men against the scums? 38 matches a season, this is the 2nd game it’s not do or die.
-
If Kepa was not that fucking stupid and Jorginho scored the penalty we’re 1:1 now with 10 men, put that in mind. Again, we were solid in the first half except the red card incident, I dunno what were you watching saying otherwise. Kai showed his quality with one touch linkups, Werner was fucking lively and they didn’t have any clear cut chances, again, except the red card incident.
-
I’m sure it’s Frank’s fault again by letting J5 takes it lol.
-
This is bs I’m sorry, with major players missing against the champion last year and you expect us to all gang-ho? How naive. Mind you we won the god damn CL by playing this tactic, no, even more defensive.
-
The overreactions are pretty laughable. We were completely fine in the first half and they didn’t have a single real threat expect Mane’s run and Christensen’s red card. On the other hand Werner had a couple of chances and Kante as well. Of course it’s going to be difficult against the champ with 10 men, what do you expect? Play ultra attacking football when it’s 0:0 with 10 men? Geez, second game of the season with half of the starting 11 missing and you’re all bitching, astonishing view.
-
Am I watching a different game? We were not that bad in the first half, certainly the red card changes the game.
-
I’m still in the phrase of trusting Frank and the coaching staffs blindly so can’t be arsed to bitch about the selections, just wish the boys deliver.
