  1. Amen to that. Saw the interview and must say that one could feel the sincerity in Lampsy's voice.
  2. Always wondered why it is so. I mean, *why* is every second living thing a United fan?
  3. Absolutely devastated. Was up till 3 AM watching the game (started around midnight here) and really couldn't sleep after that. Woke the entire neighbourhood screaming when Lampsy equalised. Broke down myself after seeing an inconsolable JT. Is going to be a long day at work today. Just can't get the game out of my head. Last night really was a reflection of our season. After a really poor start it was just so good to see the likes of Lampsy, JT, Essien, and A. Cole turning it on and making a match out of it. Despite all his goals for us, have hated Drogba this season for his constant whinning, diving and "oh I so want to play in Italy" bullshit. Yesterday night really was the last straw and I hope it was the last we saw of him. If there was anyone I wanted to see taking the winning penalty for us it was JT. And although he missed, if we ever happen to be in a similar situation again I would still want him to take it. He is our hero and always will be, and I just know it that he'll more than make up for this in the seasons to come. Penalties really are rather cruel on players who slip up and JT would surely remember this for a much longer time than anyone of us. Don't know about you folks but I still remember Baggio more for the terrrific player he was than for the penalty that he missed in 94. IMO, with a new *competent* manager, with JT, Lampsy, Cech, Riccy, Essien, and A Cole sticking with us (which I'm sure they will) and a bunch of new signings in front, we'll do much better next season. For the time being though just can't take the "Manure Kings of Europe", "Greatest team ever" crap that's doing the rounds everywhere given the huge number of fan boys. And that too when the fact remains that we have literally owned them in all our matches ever since Mourinho took over. Come 08-09, and we will show them who the better team is.
  4. Rightly said. Carvalho is indeed invaluable. I really hope he doesn't leave. If he does, I think it would most probably be for Mourinho's team. And I may be out of touch here, but why do we keep hearing of Lampsy wanting to leave us? After playing such an important part in making the team what it is today and after all the support the entire team and management gave him during his troubled times? I really hope all these rumours turn out to be just that.
  5. They've always had their way with refs and decisions. That said, I don't think writing them off would we be smart. They may not have done too well in their away games but they do play aggressively, gotta give them crtedit for that GD, and wouldn't hold back anything on the 21st. It is going to be tough but I really hope we beta them convincingly and make all the fan boys shut the fuck up.
  6. We will win it, but it's going to be tough. With Vidic and Rooney back Manure sure looked a formidable side at the JJB. JT *has* to play at Moscow, can't find a replacement for him. And I hope all you blues would be outnumbering them Manure fan boys at Moscow and make it seem like a second SB. Can't we just ask Roman to buy off all the 20k Manure tkts?
  7. Or, maybe Bruce will play a blindfolded goalie. Hate to say this but Wigan beating Manure certainly isn't happening. And a draw seems equally improbable. Scumbag Fergi surely knows a lot of on/off-field tricks to win such crucial games and this won't be the first time he'd be using them.
  8. Thank you! Well, we only showed them that in a level playing field they could be beaten. And apart from the money a major factor in our success was Mourinho and the way he built the team.
  9. Hello everyone! Kinda late with my introduction as I've already made a couple of posts. Grew up playing and loving football in my predominantly "Cricket crazy" country, India. Although I've caught all the World Cups since 1994 and Euros since 1996, started following the Premier League only in 2002. For me, what really differentiated the EPL from the rest (La Liga, Seria A et al) was the pace and the accuracy with which the games were played. Since day one I've hated Manure, owing to their dominance of the league (only because of the kind of money that they had) and due to the fact that every Tom, Dick and Harry around me with absolutely no idea about football claimed to be a Manure fan boy. Started watching Chelsea games regulary in 2004 as two of my favourite English players, Lampard and Terry, played for them. And boy was the 2004-05 season good for us! Have been a Chelsea fan ever since. Have always liked "The Special one" for the kind of things he helped us achieve so was quite disappointed when he left. What the hell, its his loss anyways. Never had the opportunity to catch a match live but will surely be cheering the blues at SB itslef, some day. In the meantime will try to be as regular as I can here. Hope we dismantle Manure in Moscow, and if all goes well, in the league too! Go blues!
  10. Absolutely fantastic win! The second goal definitely made the victory all the more sweeter! Balack seems to have hit a purple patch. Hope he carries on like this through Super Sunday and Moscow. Although I'm sure we'll walk over Bolton at SB, its really frustrating to leave matters in Manure's hands. Steve Bruce is already in Fergi's pocket and I'm sure he'll buy off the ref and officials as well. Can't forget the way Everton let them win last year . Nevertheless, I hope Wigan plays for pride. Go Blues!
