At first i think we was all very confused/angry that we've signed Meireles, mainly because he's not that marquee signing everyone wants, e.g Modric, Hazard. But he is a handy player to have. I also think he's underrated by many fans, including us. When he came on for Liverpool in the Arsenal match, he changed to game. His movement was superb, and so was his passing. After a good night sleep, i realized that this was a good signing, especially for 12m. And the most important thing is that this is a player AVB wants, he knows his qualities, and if AVB thinks he's the man we need in midfield than i'm happy.

Yeah he is, but that talksport title made him sound arrogant, he never actually said it like that, all he said is that if he plays him and mata will help him score.

A replacement for Lampard? i mean Lampard still has a role to play at Chelsea, but i think he needs to take a step back a realize that he is not getting any younger, he shouldn't be playing the full 90 minutes every game.

Yeah, but for some reason AVB didn't want to play him. We now know that this is an AVB signing, so i think he will be playing a lot of matches this season.
