  5. Adel Taarabt claims Arsenal and Chelsea have 'been in contact' QPR captain Adel Taarabt has sensationally claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea have been in touch over signing him this summer. The Moroccan schemer almost single-handedly guided Rangers to the Championship title last season, and was only recently quoted as saying that he’d be interested in join a club like Newcastle. But now, in an interview with French paper L’Equipe, the 22-year-old seems to have back tracked on those plans, and suggested that he’s being lined up as a direct replacement for Cesc Fabregas at the Emirates. ‘QPR are demanding £10million for me, and for now, clubs aren’t moving too much,’ said Taarabt. ‘I’ve had contact with Arsenal and Chelsea, but it’s a bit of a mess. ‘Arsenal haven’t yet sold Fabregas, and Chelsea don’t have a manager, but I’d like to stay in London. It’s the best city in the world.’ Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wanted to sign the gifted playmaker before he joined Tottenham in 2007, and Taarabt has repeatedly spoken of his regret at not joining Spurs’ north London rivals when he had the chance. He’s also close friends with Arsenal’s Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh. 8. The agent of in-demand goalkeeper Grzegorz Sandomierski has revealed that a bid has been lodged for his client. The Polish shot-stopper is reported to be attracting interest from a number of clubs, with his potential clear for all to see. The 21-year-old has already won three senior caps for his country and has starred for Jagiellonia Bialystok since bursting onto the scene in 2007. Chelsea were believed to be leading the chase for his signature at one stage, while Italian giants Juventus were also preparing a summer raid. Firm bid Sandomierski is, however, keen to secure regular first-team football and may opt to snub a switch to a club where he would be forced to perform back-up duties. That could open the door for Premier League new boys Swansea to make a move, as Brendan Rodgers is understood to be weighing up an approach. It is reported that a £3million bid would be enough to land the youngster and his representative has confirmed that an opening offer has been received. Barry O'Connor said: "Several clubs have expressed serious interest, one's made a firm bid." http://www.skysports...6991658,00.html
