Ramires should go and Learn how to score, Sturridge should learn how to score MORE

Well Well well, contributors are clamouring for maturity on the comments. I am an avid Chelsea fan (I go by the slogan Chelsea-for-ever-Win-or-lose). The game against Wigan only further shows what Chelsea has to offer in this moment (ala Ancelotti). The Wigan goal came after so much pressure from Wigan, is Cech to blame?, NO! the rest of the team should be blamed for not obliterating Wigan's pressure. How about the forward line what did they do?, shouldn't they have put opposing pressure on Wigan to curtail there attacking forays?, but NO they didn't because they all lacked connectivity, by the end of the game we had a mimimun of 3 players that were minuses on the field (examples Mundane-Malooda / Calamity-Kalooo / Faded-Jaded-Drugssgba. Drogba should have been off the field from the first half. The way to win a game when you are not playing well and have a 1-0 lead is to make sure you have a PERMANENT back four and at least an extra defensive midfielder who will all park the bus in the Chelsea half. The rest of the bunch ie the frontliners (since they are all off-form) can just have the ball and be messing with it at least to claim possession and distract the opponents attacking forays, notice that i didn't say to go try get another goal, thats needless as the crop of players on the pitch then have all forgotten how to score. AVB you have to start being more tactical at least to be able to steal a win when your team is not playing well and you have advantage on your side. YESTERDAY against Wigan you threw away 2 vital points and you got luck not to have thrown away 3 points. AVB correct your errings IN THIS MOMENT, we all know you have a depleted squad but come January make sure to flush out un-needed players and introduce worthy replacements.

Mikel vs Blackburn: Vertical Passes from the "Horizontal Man"
Owizzy replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
Good analyses on Mikel guys, Right now that most of our players are performing below par, he is amongst the few who score reasonble marks alongside Chech and Ashley cole (I just wished Ashley could incorporate his right leg, Then he would be the best that position has) -
CHELSEA FAIL OR WIN, I AM A CHHELSEAN ANYDAY: what can we do? AVB watch your selection for games, your selection for the Genk game was mediocre largely: So Chelsea is been reduced to a team of only 2 reliable players namely Peter Chech and Ashley Cole, maybe we might consider Lampard and Sturridge (needs to a little more striker maturity and the sky will be the limit). As per the some of the rest here are my views: David Luiz - Maybe he is sick or something, his tackles are the most unclean tackle in the league he has a very high propensity for red cards, he concedes fouls easily and stupidly, looks like he has a knack for attacking so I think we should convert him into an attacker to replace some of our ailing attackers, If I were AVB I will consider David Luiz a big risk in the defence for he has costed us so much negatively in that position. Ramires – Still the same box of energy but lacking calmness to do the decisive with the ball. He still falls short as a sharp shooter Drogba – Thank you so much for all you have done in the PAST!!! Anelka/Malouda/Terry – Are you all tired?, then Retire. Torres – Where art thou? Mikel – You can still do much better, after training sessions go back to the pitch and start learning how to be asniper for the opponents goal from the centre of the pitch (ie long range accurate shots at goal), I know you can do it but looks you keep part of your confidence in your pocket. Feel free to ask Frank Lamps or Stephen Keshi for tips you can do it boy. Go for it before age starts slowing you down. Make a name in the premiership before you fade. Juan Mata/Mirelies – Keep doing good, thank you Alex/Essien – If sickness (injuries) goes can you be your old workhorse selves again? AVB – Don’t ever feature any player who is out of form, for every game rate your players on a notepad any player with less than 7/10 should not be on the team list. Now the season is early, it’s the time for you to correct the lapses in the players Sharpen your stickers, Revamp your defence and add maturity to your midfield NOT age. Tart fining a way to infuse your young bloods from Team B into mainstream affairs. Take cue from AF of MUFC, who brings in all those new names. If Berbatov can warm the bench then do the same to your below-par squad members. I say these because I wish well for the team and I believe in the team and know that losses have been due to our own carelessness. IF WE DON’T CORRECT THEM THEN WE HEAD FOR ‘0’

Guys and fellow Chelseans!!!!, Let the truth be told; here are some instances we went wrong against MUFC, if we strive to correct our flaws, the current Man U is no match for CFC, in terms of strenght. When it comes to power and muscle my fear for CFC was Man city, they have all the strongly built guys who usually have the penchant of bullying out our dear CFC players. The opposite is the case when you compare CFC with Man utd, we are the more physical side in these case. What went wrong today (yesterday) here are my blames: # 1 BOSINGWA, played like an inexperienced defender in intercepting the pass to Giggs, distance was not on his side neither was it on Giggs side even though Giggs was at advantage with less distance to cover. What Bosingwa should have done then was not to go chasing a ball that he was more than likely to miss and just a simple deft touch from the opposing attacker would put him off track, what he should have done was to aim his run towards Giggs and simply stand provide an obstacle between giggs and the ball, bearing in mind that Giggs also had some little distance to cover to get to the pass. Worst outcome would have been a foul against him because at the end of the day Giggs will run into him and maybe get the foul. ( when I was much younger in my 20's I used to play defence, right full back, one thing i used to do then was to lure opponents to give a pass to the right wing attacker by pretending to create some distance between myself and the attacker. first thing that comes to the attackers team-mates is that the winger is free and they are lured to make a pass, but since i was expecting that move I was always quick enough to quell the pass 9 out of 10 times it worked for me but then I was much younger and fit. I actually use that trick to get some cheap recognition as a sturdy defender). While i dont advise creating space for your opponents to be free, I am suggesting that quick thinking is required in such scenarios. A simple bump (collision) with Giggs could have quelled that move. #2: We need to resort into man-to-man marking simple as that, with such a rule you wouldnt have a Free Rooney to convert. All the hue and cry about 4-4-2 OR 4-3-3, is all paperwork in the real sense of the word when the game starts its all a joint task of 11(maybe 10) men attacking and defending for the soul purpose of victory. #3: If lampard underperforms let hime warm the bench. We shouldn't allow past glories to becloud our rightful decisions, I counted a series of at least 4 faulty passes dished out by Lampard, that don't come from an in-form player with confidence. #4: On Torres he still a useful man his tricks are sublime, so far he and his fellow teammates have not been able to enmesh him into the attacking network once these can be acheived the floodgates of goals will come back because Torres will score, then others will follow. I bet you guys the moment Torres scores the confidence level will rise again and we will start to see goals from Essien, Lampard and from distances too, of course the likes of Drogs/Anelka/kalou will always score once the floodgate is open. So what is the way to kick out MUFC next week? Simple! man to man marking (no rough play so we dont get cards) , just making sure we dont give MUFC players yards of space to play and leaving no free Man U player on his own whereby he will be very composed enough to make good kicks into our goal area. We have a good attack that just needs to re-discover its sharpness and from midfield to defence no opponents player should be left unmarked. if we do the right things we can turn around this situation Then let CFC stop waiting for opponents to score first before they start playing why don't we change our approach and be the first to score a 2-0 lead and concentrate fully on an error free defence while occassionaly going forward to increase the tally. This season we have given away many cheap goals due to player error as opposed to well worked-out goals by our opponents. Let us change the tide. NOW IS THE TIME, to prove that we CFC are no fluke.

I have always had faith in Josh, Van Anh, Brum and Studdge more playing time and some fine tunning will mould these guys potential to full bloom, Kakut seem a bit much younger than the rest guys (am not talking age here, I mean football maturity and confidence)
-
Very good morale -boosting result, however I would really love to watch the game to see what loopholes needs correcting going forward. Frank though a great player is not the only player who works his heart out for the club so please let us praise the team and not individuals (Or is Petr Chech notr worthy of praises too). How many ppl opened their mouths to say it when Lampps do wrong on the field, (missed PK's etc)?, No one. Frank is such a blessed guy that even commentators have a way of downpalying whatever error Frank makes on the field of play. All in good luck to the Stamford crew.

Originally Mikel was a very effective attacking mid-fielder, but with team that has Lamps then that position is taken Mikel is skillfull, has good vision when playing the attcking MF, Chelsea board converted him into a Makelele and since then he has focussed more on being a stopper this has greatly affected his passing instincts even though I still give him kudos in this regard, but I know Mikel is not being fully utilized to his max potential in the defensive MF role. With the same squad we have a reshuffling of position might just do the trick. I am quite practical in my tactical visions for the team. The other major issue now is that our attack group (Drogs, Nikko and Malouda) shoul restore the fluidity they had earlier on in the season. My recommendation for now let our defenders remain as defenders and lets use a historical formation 4-5-2 sounds strange (it needs more explanation though), but it fortifies the engine-room ie the Mid-field. If the mid-field gives the opponents a hard time then our defence will have all room for full concentration. The leftmost and the rightmost of the -5- formation would be the guys doing the overlapping wing plays and we have the guys that can do this well. I am just for a tight defence form now till the end of the season

Yellow card to me for CAPS LOCK (lol). I like the quote: "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." -- Buddha, This should be the watch word for our dear Chelsea lads,If they focus on the current situation and believe in their capability they can with total determination earn all the remaining 3 points till the end of the season. They should learn to correct their flaws and Ashley Cole should start believing that his right leg is also allowed to kick the ball. Paulo Ferriera should only be used in training he is LAZY (excuse the caps needed for emphasis), he has been largely responsible for most of our travails.

IS IT REALLY FINISHED???, WE (CFC AND FANS ALIKE) ARE VICTIMS OF A DOWNSLIDE IN PLAYER FORM: ESSIEN HASN'T BEEN AS WE USED TO KNOW HIM, SAME GOES FOR DROGS, LAMPARD YET TO RE-IGNITE, RAMIRES ALL ENERGY MINIMAL DIRECTION, ANELKA GUESS YOU NEED A REST, FERRIERA I HAVE NEVER SEEN PLAYED WITH CONFIDENCE LOOKS LIKE A LADY IN THE MIDST OF MEN. MALOUDA WHERE HAS YOUR GLITZ GONE TO? PLEASE GUYS WAKE UP AND SHOW PEOPLE THAT YES YOUR SUCCESS LAST YEAR WAS NOT A STROKE OF GOOD FORTUNE RATHER IT WAS WELL MERITTED BY A CROP OF SKILLFULL LADS WITH AN UNDERSTANDING GAMEPLAN. I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THE GUYS IN DEFENCE SHOULD STAY BACK IN DEFENCE TO MAN OUR FORTRESS. LETS REVERT TO OLDEN DAYS FOOTBALL AND RE-INTRODUCE FORMIDIABLE WING ATTACKERS (LETS DROP THE CONCEPT OF DEDICATED WING-BACKS AS THIS HAS PARTIALLY LED TO OUR DEMISE BY HEAPING PRESSURE ON THE 2 CENTREBACKS (AND IN SOME CASES 1 CENTRE-BACK WHEN IVAN-THE-BRUT LOSES CONCENTRATION). LET KALOU (SOMETIMES UNPREDICATBLE THOUGH) AND STURRIDGE HELP OUT IN THE ATTACK AND ALSO CONVERT VAN-ANHORLT TO AN ATTACKING LEFT WINGER, MALOUDA CAN ROVE AROUND AND PLAY FROM ANY FLANK.
