Brilliant effort from the boys. Saw both legs of the final, and to be honest, it should probably have been much more comfortable. However, that doesnt matter as we got the win in the end. Theres some real talent in that team, and Ben Andrews was saying on the commentary that this is the crop that the Academy staff have been excited about for many a year. The back four looks solid, especially Bruma, who if he doesnt make it at the highest level one day, i'll be shocked. Connor Clifford, Gokhan Tore, and of course Josh McEeachran look real players and fingers crossed we'll see these boys on the fringes of the first team at times next season. I remember Chelsea TV saying 2 years ago or so that Josh had already trained with the first team, at about 15. Looks a very talented player. Also, well done to EskWeston for keeping everyone up to track with the Cup run and the youth team in general. Much appreciated.

Lamps had a great game, defensively as well as going forward. Had two great headers in our own 6 yard box. His defensive work often gets forgotten, and he deserved his goal. 26 now, phenominal. He got my vote. Alex was absolutely brilliant too, as were Kalou, Ivanovic, Malouda and Anelka.

I have no idea how true this is, but someone was saying on Chelsea Chat yesterday that the parade would be the Sunday after the CL final (23rd). I thought all the players would be away by then, so its hard to call. The parade five years ago was brilliant, so fingers crossed theyll be another, even if all the players cant make it.

The rules are that you can wear a different kit for one game per season in FA competitions, and I pressume the club believe the shirt will sell better if they wear it in this game rather than the Wigan one. Agree with the aboves though.
