I think we'd be better off with a defensive minded play maker rather than an offensive one like Sneijder. Our front third already gets congested enough with the opposition sticking 9 behind the ball. Hence probably why Carlo plays Josh further back than a lot of us first thought. Quick, skillful wingers with an Alonso type player to provide them and Torres would be superb.

I'd define an overhaul as 10. I honestly can't name 6 that I'd be happy releasing. Bosingwa and Ferreira for me are the only certs of the outfield lot. Anelka and Malouda probably, due to their age, though i'd be inclined to keep Nic for another year. Zhirkov and/or Kalou are probably on most people's lists too, though I think theres more potential there than we are seeing so I'd personally keep them. Turnbull and Hilario must be considered for me too. The two names that come up for me to come in, though both are unrealistic. Xabi Alonso and Robben. I think we need a real passer in the team. Someone to dictate our play. At the moment, our midfield is ridiculously predictable - just short passes back and forward with the full backs. Theres plenty of options out there that can play the role but I think Alonso could be brilliant for us, not just for Nando. He'd give us so much more in that role than Essien is currently. Though it might limit Josh getting opportunities. As for Robben, I don't need to make a case for him. Pure quality.

We don't need an overhaul. We need 3/4/5 changes. Probably two within the starting 11. I think the majority of us would settle for two out and two consistently effective wingers, in the mould of Robben and Duff, coming in.

When prices were frozen for 6 straight seasons, and every other club increased - what did you all expect? When we were all on here, January 31st, celebrating the signing of Fernando Torres, what did you expect? Was bound to happen, and just accept thats the going rate for this industry now. Football IS a business and like it or not, Ron Gourlay and everyone else has a job to do. A job to ensure the long term stability and income of this club. To generate the wages and funds to make it possible for us to have the best facilities and players to get us the success we're having. Makes me laugh that most the people who complain about it, never go anyway. A big factor in the club doing this, is that they know they can. They have to fill 43,000 seats every week - and if they can do that by charging £80 a ticket, then they are bound too.

FB, he signed that contract three years ago and he was superb for two years of it. Can't see your point. I dont think he's finished at all. He's still getting in the right positions, he's still working hard, passing is fine. He's not taking the chances, but its only such a problem because the same can be said of Torres, Drogba and Anelka. If one of them were, we wouldn't be talking about it at all.

NO complaints over either leg? 1-1 going into last night would have been a completely different die. 0-1 down was near-on impossible. However, we didn't take our chances. We had so many half chances in comparison to United. And in this level of competition, thats not good enough. Yes, we've got ourselves to blame. From the rumours I'm inclined to listen too, Carlo has already agreed a one year option extension to his current deal so upto 2013. Not sure how true that is, but believe if you wish. I'm 50/50 about Ancelotti. I think he does get a lot of things wrong but let's be honest, so did Mourinho. Difference being Mourinho has a special attitude and the gift of the gab to somewhat disguise his mistakes. What Ancelotti achieved last year warrants him getting another season, but this is Chelsea and this is Abramovic. Nothing would surprise me.

Adjusted. Drogba/Anelka and Malouda's ages mean they won't get high fees. Bosingwa's injury/lack of form will mean he won't. Mikel and Kalou are never 20m players.
