Instinct can actually see it happening. Almost fits like a glove truly so long as he is ready to put ego aside and finish floating between the bigger name clubs respect to them. Bet he’d find it very fun, the fans would be elated. All said, Emery is a smart guy 🤨

It’s sad how many teams best players came through here. De Bruyne, Salah, Havertz, Guehi, Solanke

What I want is some 28 year old gem scoring for fun in Denmark or China to come prove his worth with a climbing up mentality, form and confidence of a best in league striker. I don’t care if unproven at top level, so long as proven as the best among a league. Even Slovenia’s league, they must have someone who can of course come in and just have an instant, maintained top level. It’s just about true scouting and player profiling. Which I’ve not seen yet. Everyone we have signed is either already a name, or from a very visible club. There will be some Drogba regens kicking about here and there failing to trigger some stat metric or ethos policy so not being considered. City a good example again of Who Is That oh shit they’re good.

I love how Twitter is all KENDRY PAEZ ESTEVAO THE BOCA CB. Here is realistic. Up to speed. Never been behind so to say vs the late adopters to the club on other platforms, platforms that obviously sooner nab the youngest kids, vs a forum. Like a haven in here that there is even some sense. No sense on Reddit, gets bombed, no sense on Twitter, a USA vs Rest of World fans war right now. Neither platform ever acknowledging plain as day necessary issues. Both far easier to bot and control via PR than a true fan forum.

Yeah his way of handling this sort of weeds out the tough and ready, but may plant a seed of doubt in some of them, asking selves Jesus Christ will I go through this myself if I don’t perform for xyz duration. An extra inner dialogue, an extra wall between player x playing freely. Indeed you can handle this better but he’s leaning into the extreme of acting alpha, for I guess lack of it being true, inexperience in balancing that hand with warmth. The aura is very fake it til you fake it. Awareness of implications, of all this, would be visible to someone actually used to successfully leading a group, who could justify such a heavy hand, yet again if just in having, would be coupled with grace usually. Tis inexperience. In life. At his big age.

The one clearest actual credit where it’s due to BlueCo, if Disasi goes out, is their willingness to get rid of players quite quickly once they truly are “seen”, as opposed to the extra few years of blind faith afforded to the more difficult to shift Sterling say and obviously Mudryk. For all the greatness we had with Roman, one key we fell short of toward the end was keeping past it players too long, and not replacing them with alike types all fresh. Pep has that mastered.
-
On my knees for these Disasi briefs. Most people don’t believe in physiognomy, but I do think peoples faces clearly show their disposition - how close is their baseline to anxious, stress, relaxed, confident. It exudes. Disasi and Badi I didn’t want largely due to both exuding nerves.
-
Re collective perceptions of players Remember it being emphasised, highlighted, that BlueCo were bringing in “PR Experts”. The Goldbergs of twitter aside — do note, if anyone is on the platforms enough to see, the very sudden influx past month only, of accounts and voices never ever heard or seen before, suddenly en masse in unison pushing the same opinions, while since the City game, framing a “The fans are the problem, not BlueCo”. The lack of people-skills there whether among those who think they know better, or from wherever their ideas are coming from. It’s pretty shocking to, not put forth an opinion among opinions, but police the fanbase which is happening now. It makes talking about players very difficult and almost deflating. I work in music industry and I am very familiar with botting on social media, and they’re doing it to us.

It was said the club were going to employ a model like Liverpool😹

Alex Goldberg few months ago screaming WE HAVE THE BRAZILIAN BENZEMA

To already discuss new CBS despite Badi Disasi Fofana Colwill re emphasises how much of a joke the setup at BlueCo is. Why would you not expect anything but more punchlines to come. Another punchline is I bet most on this forum were going googoogaga over all 4 CBS to then go on and disparage xyz. Was shocked to see us get Dis and Badi, I threw my toys out the tram before they kicked a ball. Doesn’t take a genius. Colwill dev is completely stunted and not going to fix until his environment changes, as I don’t have faith he will fix his mindset within this environment. Fofana, cool, whatever. Was lovely being fed some hype out of nowhere for a player nobody was talking about 8 months prior. I love BlueCo and the fans so much

I’d prefer if we signed the other Guehi

He wants to play a way wherein he in a regular midfield is the one who always ends up edge of the box, same as with Argentina and Benfica. He has not pined to be deployed and stay behind the striker. That’s a social media narrative. He wants instructions and system that supports himself being the most advanced midfielder. Essentially Lampard role. edit to add - key being, the right balanced approach in achieving this, as opposed to the unbalanced approaches so far that leave too much behind him, and thus too much expectation for him to perform defensively / or be more reserved going forward. Either or mounts pressure, which effects his primary output. It’s set up to fail, as so far is the case with Nkunku, will keep tying him to Enzo chat, so it’s seen better. Nkunku looked like Tammy. Explain that. They both suffer here. They are showing glimpses of what’s above them. All said, Enzo had the most goal scoring opportunities, while also creating the most goals scoring opportunities, vs City. First game of season, most unstable shoddy club impersonating top clubs today. Half-baked Narratives are easier to go along with than not. Football to politics, the most common input comes from passing the buck and riding the train of others opinions. Which is why most fans are wrong every year when it comes to who’s good and who isn’t. Every few weeks a new Take is cooked up and becomes a “thought” so many share.
-
No, that’s been touched on. Better players tend to reserve their better performances for either of the sides set up better - club, or international. The club is tumultuous. You don’t run for it. You do for Argentina. You respect the people there. Most clubs have tapped in to sport psychology since 2014. CFC both regimes still yet to. Once we do, fans will consider it more I hope. I presume the rugby guy we hired for good vibes policy is not that.
-
Nobody on earth can say, X is Felix best quality. I really do not know what to expect other than no movement of the needle, a few nice moments to paper over that.
-
yesterday. Use your ears, or eyes. I don’t mind. It’s easy to miss things when all the crowds of parrots are parroting something.
-
Just say you didn’t see the goals, and probably only saw one after my comment. Learn how to profile players. They’re pretty much all the same goal, and a very impressive one. Learn more about what emphasises / nullifies that type of play, that he continues to give Argentina, and will go back to whenever free. Re, nonsense about why would he ask to be deployed up high. People don’t even understand the context of the player they’re supposedly talking / parroting, about. Next consider player development after diving deeper into how to profile players. If you haven’t already, or don’t want to, how is this a serious convo right now. From where this confidence of assessing players. What is your track record.
-
Hearing talk of Mikel saying too much. Going to go listen now, and bet my life savings, this professional footballer revered by many, an expert of his role, who played with the best players of all time year after year, will be echoing what I said. Checking now. edit He thinks the issues are structure, player misprofiling, ethos, squad holes still not filled. Glad to be on same page as Mikel and not 1000 twitter teens parroting what they see others say Any microscope on Enzo, is conceding to being reactionary, as any discussion is only following the influencer twitter crowds, or conceding ignorant, in not seeing put the cart ahead of the horse is not the right way to assess where things are. The last thing needing picked at is Enzo. Which again, is not a reaction of eyes to field, but eyes to social media.

Check his goals for Argentina 🤥, Benfica😔, did anyone actually watch games of his outside of when he joined BlueCo lol. Identify what is there please. Profile him correctly please. Ahead of a season wherein Havertz will have many eat their words. Both born to score. Both like Bambi on ice here but loved everywhere else. He was a big goal threat every time on the edge of the box for Argentina and for Benfica. When central, he was Galladog. Longer post above re environment. Watch Nkunku join same boat. These are people, not machines. With the most chaotic environment in top level football, you need more, not less, considerations re psychology. We have less than ever both internally and as a fanbase. Issues won’t be fixed, or learned from. Despite this happening over, and over, and over again. Literally the Majority of players this fanbase has wanted out over the years has been oh oops within 2 yrs. They’d never have made it here. Because of here. Not because of them. The club is in a dire state. Not a slight dip. It effects different people differently, from how things are organised, to rushed, to considered not worthwhile. Average players are easier to go under the radar. They stay, average. Better players will show you higher, or lower extremes. That is part and parcel of being different to average players. You aren’t going to do well with them. Neymar wouldn’t, Ronaldo wouldn’t. For a top team, those players are perfect. For Crystal Palace they are not. We are closer to crystal palace. Why would someone like Enzo work among all this. There is no cohesion. Influencers have fed a misframe that balance is there. There isn’t one defensive midfielder in the squad. Reference the Saudi league for a better understanding of how this team is built all wrong, and how it effects those previously considered among the best players in the world. The environment and the balance, two different things, there and here, are the same ilk, with the same result. You cannot expect semblance of what should be happening under the ethos of BlueCo or inexperience of top level performance tied to the board. How is this team built any different to a random Saudi team. They, over there, have more experience - from players, to coaches. What plagues the good players there plagues the ones here, yet here not got one set of experienced hands. Baffling that the players who most embody the game, down tools, while the guys going through the motions, keep doing that nice and fine. There are levels. Need to better understand so many nuances, all fans. Beyond legs and what’s todays tactico. What is the structure. Is it a functional one. No. Ergo.
-
He’s resulted plenty for a team with Messi - if he wasn’t good enough he wouldn’t have played. His Benfica stint while brief was dominant. In both cases, he has a proper midfield. The issue here is, people don’t properly assess his midfield partners, and so think the onus is on him to provide the support that is needed in place first for such players to be creative assessors without repercussion. To simplify and not be a twitter idiot, DM, CM, CAM —- whether he is CAM or CM or DLP, you have to have destroyers alongside him, who recycle possession, with cool heads. Caicedo is not exactly that. Lavia is not that at all. In which context, can Enzo actually do whatever fiction is in the air yet to be done. When there are different players alongside him. Don’t misprofile him. Fabregas would be shit in this side, Pirlo would be ran over, Kroos would get similar statements made. Greatness struggles to come through when burdened with anxiety or stress. The environment is the issue, dynamics are the issue. Not the player. What this club fails to understand is that most players teetering between very good, and great, need a great coach. Ancelotti to Pep would have him looking like he was, and should further be. So too with most players we have now, who won’t hit their heights here, as usual. How many times can players be great everywhere, shit in this obviously shit environment, and still get sweeping assessments made in that very context. How many times want the great players out, mistaking them for being the issue, as opposed to the absolute garbage either side of them week in week out. It harms their abilities. Have seen all these takes before re De Bruyne re Havertz re xyz majority of fanbase cannot properly assess whatsoever even if give it a full day off to try. Players particularly detailed why they’re one of the ones, by reputable people. Written off like kids by kids with no contextual considerations re the nuances that determine success, and determine good football. Way more than is ever touched on among fans. I’ll enjoy him playing actual football whenever he is lucky enough to join a football club🙃
-
He’s had more bad than good games, and I pined to him personally to not leave when he was out on loan. It’s clearly a mentality thing. The concentration and drive aren’t there. I think he feels resigned to the fact he was about to come back to xyz, but instead has really come into a fray of bullshit. It’s real easy to down tools under this board.
-
I’m excited to see his value rise / flip him too but patience
-
He’s the worst keeper I’ve ever seen, literally, not seen lower among all teams I’ve ever watched.
-
I did. Supporting striker. There was always a main focal point that wasn’t him, but either he’d arrive like a fox in the box just behind and score a messy tap in, or smack a worldie from edge of box. He always put up way higher numbers than the lineup suggested he should have. Their attack was basically as gelled as when Liverpool were on Firmino Mane Salah. He was not out wide, he was tucked in just barely behind striker, at times it was like they were running 3 strikers or 0, all interchanging, two with the goals, one causing disarray. His side dominated possession and could afford him just roaming.
-
Enzo would be fine and thriving for Madrid, for City. 2+2. It’s an issue re approach. He suits a traditional setup ie one which dominates. He fits a team that dominates possession, or chances. Metronomic players, to eye of the needle ones, aren’t going to show use that often if instructed to do anything beyond what Kroos was doing, Pirlo before him, Fabregas if you want to though he was trained a certain way, resulting in a unique profile. Enzo is a hybrid really of these players, in profile. Why on earth measure him while either playing as a SS, or in a midfield built out of jelly that would not be able to protect Kroos properly. If he was afforded being in a side where players are on top form - Benfica, seen it, Argentina seen it, next club will see it again - with guile in their style as ethos — you know, top functional teams —- you get one of the best players at timing passes, seeing passes, getting the ball where it needs to be on the pitch, knowing before anyone else where the momentum is shifting. A pretty traditional playmaker, who is not supposed to be tackling, yet that is being highlighted as a weakness - christ. A better understanding is, he is unable to play the role he was playing before here, as here, he doesn’t get the protection to. That is not on him. It is on fans once again not knowing X from Y in making sweeping assessments of players. He remains misused like more than a couple players at the club, asked to do new things alongside profiles which don’t compliment what’s been recruited. Nkunku will soon be flavour of the month for misunderstanding the same way. It is clear what Enzo can do, and clear that different teams have different abilities in emphasising or nullifying xyz profile. Conflating that with an agenda that he himself is an avg player is stupid. He has an amazing footballing brain. Like Nkunku. Easier to do well here if less accustomed to higher standards. All players we recruit from better situations, falter here. They adjust. Rotten apples spoil the fresh ones fast. The order of things is wrong, the design of things is wrong. Fans will mistake more than just 2 very good players, as not very good, during this era.
