  1. Wait what. Scrolling and see this Toney stuff. Stinks of PR. Makes no sense in the world for them both to join same Saudi club after both only being in the same media rounds together due to Chelsea.
  2. Mhm. It’s happened, the same contexts, the same signals. You aren’t just making up this interpretation from thin air. People need to give more credit to the difference between, what’s less and what’s more likely. This is obviously the most likely scenario. You just don’t gamble on this.
  3. W Washington out on a perma to Strasbourg, it’s clear as day, no two ways about, blatantly and airtight, we are money laundering. No more wooha about the Roman period being cleaned up. Without the * that it’s being cleaned up with dirty hands lol
  4. Analogy about Osi. It doesn’t matter how satisfied you already are (fanbase), worn out, it may be the total wrong place or time etc, if you edge long enough (the fanbase edged by BlueCo), what happens at the end is sure to leave plenty of people very happy even if it can be damaging to have done this.
  5. Hopefully Liverpool end up a Pool of Livers
  6. Lol Fabrizio adjusting the brief to now say he’s offered £20m a year by Saudi. I imagine we’d offer £10m per year base with performance add ons taking potentially to £14-15M. Less disparity than initially seemed.
  7. With 0 equivalent player in place. When this falls through, you go for a Gyokeres, not Toney, otherwise why aim so high with such wide pockets in the first place. Lack of planning even still. A broken clock will get some things right. We are still, well BlueCo, are still getting many things wrong. Handling of players, destinations of loanees, prices paid for. Speaking since our nice form to start the season. They aren’t suddenly competent. Lol. It’s not been a wrong outcry for years now, acknowledging that they are incompetent. No new people have arrived lol. Same people.
  8. How with any sense can you see a side turning cohesive, and still pine for a player not wanting to be here. Is it invisible, that we’re putting together a clear unison of mentality finally.
  9. I need this knowledge to be posted with confidence, no conspiracy tone lol. Re initial announcements and takeover plans. We have today the most PR-thinking club. It’s clear they already brief fans of poor options to make average options seem like even better ones. Been going on a while. They’re tending to fan psychology, seeing the fanbase as a person, to keep feeding the right way at the right time to sustain loyalty, via emotion. Via other means, over the years, since the takeover. Its how they roll, and what the type of fan they’ve identified as their primary fan, laps up.
  10. While you’re on your donkey, find the time to re read the convo. edit mate — why go delete your whole thesis and then post about where did you say something. Weird shit. It says edited in the post and wordcount reduced x4. On about where is it Jesus Christ get a grip. Can probably remember what it said better than yourself. You clearly dismissed the statement that it’s understandable that money be chosen over a fan fantasy idea of success — by replying, Other Players Know That Success Matters More Than Money. That is not presenting an opinion. You have presented that like a fact. So told, you’re wrong, to say like fact, that “success” yer da’s success matters more. Is that complicated. Its wrong to say. Factually wrong. I haven’t espoused any opinions. Stop going on about opinions.
  11. No it’s not my opinion. You ranking “success” (fan fantasies) as more important than money, I’ve said is not a concrete truth whatsoever; it is not something to realise as more important - that would not be true. That, would be an opinion. So I said, “Money is not secondary to success”, in response to you stating, players realise success is more important than money. That’s not true; neither are secondary nor primary in this context; indeed it’s person to person. Zoomed out obviously money is more important. That’s not an opinion lol. So it’s not an opinion of mine at all to highlight that you’ve drawn a conclusion, that’s not a conclusion. You have an opinion, your truth, that you’re stating like a fact. It’s not a fact. Money is not factually concretely secondary to success. That’s fan fantasy. That’s not realistic.
  12. It’s a choice between relaxing wealth vs stressful wealth. Fun wealth or work wealth.
  13. Yes please to Araujo. Portugal are having a renaissance. He’s pro-active. A better distributor of the ball imo than any of our CBs. Really seems to always be in the right place at the right time - not even interceptions, but more being the one who the ball lands at so no need to intercept - I like his positioning in certain scenarios a lot. His passing and vision is like a really good passing midfielder. He is quick to think and just makes the right choices. So far, in smaller stake games. He reminds me of Christensen yet where Christensen oozed anxiety — years later confirmed to throw up before games — Araujo exudes such a calm demeanour. He leads by example so far. No wonder his name has come up whether via influential agent or via genuine interest. I want. I get it. If City got him I’d say perfect for them. He reminds me of Carvalho too in style and decision making. Reminds me of a lot of CBs coming to mind in succession for different reasons. I think he’s one of those ones.
  14. Hey Osimhen, instead of an easy 30m a yr wanted by the most ambitious league, come grind for 10m a yr and prove you can belong to Stamford bridge! prove that you can do, what countless of others have already done, and score in the premier league! be useful for our growing team, are you not tempted by the ultimate proposition? The best path in this life? The only choice really! Rubbing my face w confused mildly amused frustration atp lol 😹😹😹😹😹
  15. Yeah all this emotional investment is not something a lot of people want. Payday. Sunset. It’s not that deep. Money is not secondary to success.
  16. Players aren’t incentivised to play in the Prem these days bar exceptional cases and cash. The newest 10 min old narrative is, come prove yourself!!!! 🤨😸Grown men who don’t understand how people work or life. Serie A, and other leagues, weren’t covered as widely in the past as the PL. You stepped to the PL for life reasons more than sporting. To become a star. To be known. To be revered a certain way. Which, players get strictly from their Serie A stints now, their La Liga stints, more and more. It is not porn - players are not career-long-edging toward a buildup to the PL. Its not the finish line. Then take cultural differences, and the journey, into accounts. Osi’s destiny right now is getting a fat check. Simple. As it should be for him. Shocking for fans to now go OK you may not want us or our terms but how about the league generally bro!!! Come on it’s the obvious option!! We are Real Madrid!!!! Lunatics
  17. The reward a player wants once striving pays off, is not to go straight back to striving underdog. They want once it pays off to relax a bit. Typically. But for the freaks. Want REWARDED. Not, what joining CFC is, all compliments to our decent season ahead. From stylistically to mentality this has been a complete mismatch this entire waste of time.
  18. It’s essentially a stop-gap we “need”. That’s all you can do when can’t identify, or get The Ideal player. I do ask who is 9 when Jackson isn’t. Nkunku hates the role.
  19. For now it’s fine. Getting the right 9 is what will win the league. Better to wait and see that vs spunk on what clearly isn’t but “closes the distance”. All said I wonder re transfer ban if + when re the right player appearing. Gyokeres is the best fit among known names unfortunately.
  20. If he does join Saudi my thesis earlier re his personality adds up. What he wants vs what fans idealistically imagine players to want are very different.
  21. Bullied by Liverpool already, mistaken as good. Lol. The passes he just doesn’t make, that he should, but plays hero ball. The amount of times he loses the ball. The lack of focal point provided. Stats saying 6’1” have to be a lie. Scored vs Everton tho think it was The decision making to movement in that clip is not good to add as the next thing to our team up front in the 9. Whatsoever. Constantly out wide cause can’t handle the physical CBs just the same as Afcon. The lines he’s proven to run vs PL sides as an adjustment he had to make, will have him beside our own wingers, with us going, why aren’t you in the box. We will feel a lack of presence and an increase in frustration. Not Haaland or Messi seamless magic. That comes via perfect fit.
  22. My thought is, Osi after the PR, plaudits and purple patches, maybe deservedly so, would have Wanted - I think expected too, but surely wanted, think about it - a /currently top team/, /stable/, that other calibre as we know, simply Madrid, Bayern, City, at a push can say Inter at the moment I suppose. Stable prestige. Arsenal during their own patch aligning in time with Osi’s — i think he would have taken them, looked the new City - briefly. I think it’s an adjustment in expectations - and not quite aligned desires, but a push from others - any proximity to Chelsea of today. I really do not think he has done what he has done with Napoli, to not then step into a title-contending environment. Remove the bias. Why on earth in the universe, come here. Because, of a story built up of African connection at this point. It smells, looks, sounds, like - others generating the idea, of wanting him, without explaining once how he fits - unsubstantiated hype - leaving an impression all round, both sides, of, well this is the date that’s being arranged and going to happen, this is a courting session, which defaults makes it somewhat likely to happen if nobody else is courting like that. It feels like an arranged marriage to someone who doesn’t necessarily want it. Why would he. Bar, the emotional attachment forced on him since the links let’s say. But I’m referring to outwith the transfer window rumour mill time period. This is another issue for me. If he joins, if he was seeing himself a certain way — if he doesn’t hit the ground running, or maintain purple matches over and over — I’d expect a discontented player. Not necessarily a problem-player personality-wise. But when the going gets tough, it’s easier to get back going, when you’re not a bit disappointed about where you are. He hasn’t jumped to join, so it adds up along with a zoom out, surely any other fans just of football and seeing how things go, not CFC fans, surely wouldn’t expect him to jump for joy at a CFC approach being the biggest courters, yet understand Accepting it, settling for it. If I was him, I would probably want to go with PSG at this point, for it feeling more prestigious at this time, which I think matters to him off the back of so much hype. Ego is real. We have a wage structure on one hand, but on the other, we’ve also been recruiting aligned personalities and mindsets. He doesn’t fit that either, in my opinion, from breadcrumbs of 2+2s that may be wrong. Logically he isn’t at the stage or phase to want to join here, nor is he of the stage or phase the collective are in. Neither is he Mr Experience Mr Proven to compliment them. It’s not perfect. These prices keep going around should be getting perfect fits. Otherwise blowing cash on limiting the potential of the side. I understand many don’t regard sport psychology still in 2024. Cool. All said, I’m not saying I expect anything other than him being Bought, or settling for us. Then a sort of Nkunku regression due to being a weird fit for how the side has ended up designed. 😾
  23. Basically rocking back and forth in disbelief and pain that the club and fans as always go on a streak of sanity and then undo it with stupidity. I just assure with my life, it doesn’t take trained eyes to see Osi is far from a fit for how we play. Why do this. Why. Why. You throw away a load of money for when the ideal guy is finally clear, and take a flowing side and put a weird shape into it. I cannot get head around how people blindly trust PR and highlights after yrs yrs yrs yrs yrs yrs yrs watching the sport and knowing how angles work and don’t work. This is crazy.
