  1. Also way to go by saying I don't like the American as if I'm the problem. Almost everyone here realizes he sucks at this point, there is no denying it, if anything you should ask yourself why you defend him what has he done good since the summer to warrant trust in him. I don't care if he is here for the next 10 or 100 years to be honest, I'm not gonna pat him on his back and tell him great job mister when he gets takes a wrong decision one after another. When he starts taking good decisions, people will show up and start praising him no problem, but don't be surprised people are angry with him and rightfully criticize all his dumb decisions thus far it's how democracy works.
  2. Can you and people alike just stop posting already with this twitter blue tick posts, everyone knows this is true, there is more than enough evidence its just that some of you are completely refusing to accept it and keep defending the clearly idiocy that happened. Ask yourself this why was Benfica willing to negotiate from 1st January to 3rd and after that suddenly out of the moon said we only accept buyout clause or nothing, why did the Benfica coach went on a tirade in his presser and no it wasn't Enzo just skipping training and going to Argentina because that happened on 2nd January and Benfica was still willing to negotiate the next day. It's clear as day the reason negotiations stopped was because of the lowball, they tried changing terms from the moment the got at the table on 1st January and Benfica still gave the American a chance and told him to resolve this in 48h otherwise no deal, and after that was happened still lowballed. Why would Potter matter I don't even talk about him a lot because there are much more problems than just him, and if we don't sign Enzo (which is pretty likely) you will pretend he wasn't worth it, and of course when we get Mudryc by overpaying more than Arsenal you will say it was a shrewd business by the owner.
  3. I have a hard time believing this is not dead unless Costa has a change of heart which I doubt, we won't pay the buyout, if only the American at least lowballed with something closer to what he promised initially maybe Benfica wouldn't be as pissed but now it's likely dead in the water unless some miraculous turn of events.
  4. Amazing new 340k on a 3 year contract for Kante. Give a 5 one to Jorginho as well while at it.
  5. Slowly but surely were reaching Arsenal level of pettiness, yesterday I saw people come up with gymnastics about what it means to be a businessman which reminds me of Ty from AFTV who was so far down his club's ass he couldn't comprehend the idea his club could ever be in the wrong. We fucked up this deal, fucked up in some possible deals from here on and probably bought us the Rice ticket from next season, which makes me sick and angry.
  6. So many people are now like I'm happy we didn't overpay, happy we learnt from summer! when in reality Boehly was gonna discuss the 120M in installment until he saw Enzo was forcing a move and missing training which made smug American think he can lower the price. Of course it back fired and now they pretend it was all "We won't be held to ransom!" bullshit gimmick. We will overpay for that manwhore from Shakhtar and everyone will come and say I think paying 20M over Arsenal was the right decision, the guy has world class potential, etc, etc
  7. This guy received only bashing while he was here, but he was creating chances one after another with his movement. It's no wonder we went from 4th with 73 big chances to 14th with 20 chances, absolute joke.
  8. Have some shame at least you paid for Cucushit almost the same as you offered for Enzo, all this while we need a top midfielder, what clueless person.
  9. And they say life is not fair, 300k on a 5 years, this guy lives on a bossman, doubt he gives a single fuck.
  10. A shit player, who in form becomes average. What a crap purchase this was, think if I started searching on transfermarkt would've find something cheaper and better. The American's whole plan with this was, City wants him gonna pay over the moon for him.
  11. Smart thing would've been to buy Enzo, sell Mount and promote Carney to the first team but we all know Enzo ain't comin, 300k 6 year contract for Mount coming and Carney will be behind RLC, Rice and Sangare.
  12. What an incredible trash squad, you really need something special to make a squad worse with 250M, takes some skill.
  13. No expectations from this but I hope the fans bring all the banners out for the American.
  14. Wouldn't be surprised if you are right, I mean the owner is overpaying for average players like Cucurella and Koulibaly, not like he understands what a top player even means.
  15. Well unless he is on retarded wages like Koulibaly we should easily be able to sell him should he prove to be a bust. Good luck to him can't possibly be worse than Koulibaly anyways.
  16. Both of them are equally just as stupid
  17. Hopefully we see more of this tonight, had enough of this shit since the summer.
  18. If they want to put up a more realistic proposition all fine, it's their right but why lie and say something else initially, ah right because Rui Costa wouldn't even bother with this 85M. If someone told me he was gonna pay me close to 120M in installments to come to the table and after discuss, waste my time for 3 days and show up with 85M I would be very angry as well. Despite us tapping the player, which would make anyone mad, Costa was willing to let that go and continue discussions and after you lie like an idiot about the numbers as well. If I was Costa I'd sell him for 80M in the summer to someone else.
  19. No it's not is shady tactics, I've never heard of such bullshit in business, you don't piss off people you negotiate with by inventing different numbers from the ones you set out initially, this just make you look like a mug and a man with no honor, what sort of credence can someone have in you if you show up with different numbers to the ones you told them beforehand to get them to sit at the table.
  20. You do this at the start of the negotiations not at the end when the buyer is like but you said you want to pay the tag price. Be fair and square, let him know you want to negotiate at a lower price, don't fucking waste his time telling you want the tag price to put him on the table and after lowball, this is embarrassing shit.
  21. Do you still not understand the problem? The main problem is the American verbally told Benfica we we're willing to pay the 120M, Benfica came to the table BECAUSE of this, they we're willing to negotiate instead of buyout knowing Boehly told them an offer around 120M was on the table. The negotiations and time wasting happened because Benfica was told something and as soon as they discussed Boehly came up with other numbers 85M. Of course they got pissed off and rightfully so, what kind of shady shit is this. Why didn't Boehly simply say, listen I want us to come to the table an discuss a price around 85-90M for Enzo but of course he didn't do this because Benfica wouldn't even turn up for negotiations. The reality is the American wasted Rui Costa's time, wasted Enzo's time, waste Mendez time and wasted all our time. What a shady ass business work this is.
  22. The people working at the club drag the club through the mud not me, some of you are in denial mode, everyone reports the same shit, when you think about it, the story also matches perfectly why Benfica suddenly want buyout clause after initially being willing to negotiate.
  23. No I'm not ok, if you seriously think a businessman let alone a billionaire can be so stupid. Do you understand what keeping word means? If you weren't planning to pay the 120M all fine but don't lie like a pig, put people to come to the table with the intention of paying 120M and after lowball with different numbers. This is absolutely embarrassing stuff no way you turn it.
  24. With this scenario and right after the competition, they made their first meeting with Benfica. The Portuguese club made it clear to them: they paid the €120 million of the exit clause, which had to be in a single installment, and they kept it. However, Chelsea made a verbal counter-offer: it stated that it was willing to invest 127 million euros, but on payment in several installments. After deliberating for several days and accepting the Argentine's request to make the leap to the Premier League, president Rui Costa opened the doors to negotiations. Negotiations began days before the New Year and were stalled for the holidays without an agreement yet. Chelsea didn't even correct Enzo's contract because they knew it wouldn't be a problem, as they knew his salary at Benfica and could easily improve it. On Monday, January 2nd, the clubs resumed their dialogue: Benfica was waiting for the structure of a complex operation to be set up. What does this means? Of those 127 million euros that Chelsea said it would pay, how much would it be in a first payment, installments and how much money would it be in goals. However, the English -always verbally- changed the conditions and the club that owned Enzo's pass issued an ultimatum: everything had to be resolved within 48 hours. Both on Tuesday, the 3rd, and on Wednesday, the 4th, they met in person in long meetings that ended until dawn in Europe. Yesterday, Chelsea (the negotiation was led by sporting director Christopher Vivell and everything was accompanied by Todd Boehly, the English owner of the club) informally made a proposal to Benfica: 90 million euros to be paid in four installments and the possibility of having players of soccer in the middle of the operation. The Portuguese, revolted, returned to the initial position of rescission clause or nothing and said that the decision was engraved in stone. And they ended the meeting. In this way, the operation is dead today, unless the English review their plans and get the footballer to execute the exit clause, an amount they are not willing to spend. The state of this club, no doubt expected the owner to blunder this somehow but Vivell being just as pathetic.
