Why do I get the feeling that we're gonna get shafted by Utd in this little saga.

Fwiw, a bloke I talk to on Twitter who has a contact at Utd said Stones is joining us, but it's being held up until Everton sort out a replacement. I asked if that was through his contact and he said yeah-they've been mates (Stones and the contact) for a while and wanted his advice. Then Stones handed in the TR the following day. Neither he or I claim to be ITK (far from it actually) but just thought I'd share what he told me.

Legit sources have said that we did make a bid and it was turned down. Tbh, I don't think anyone is kidding themselves to think that we're going to get him this late in the window but at the same time we're all Chelsea fans speculating about potential players coming to the club. How can anyone blame the club for this when he went to West Brom in a loan which everyone deemed as good for him to gain experience and then last season he engineered his own loan to further his own chances to make the Belgian squad for the WC..... I wouldn't even play Oscar for the first couple of months of the season - the boy needs a full rest after what has been a busy few years worth of football. And especially after his total burnout towards the end of the season and the drubbing Brazil got in the semi final.

Did any of us see the Fabregas deal coming? Was there an actual concrete bid for Cesc spoken about in the press? More like press speculation until the deal was announced.

Why is it dead? Facts are that no-one knows why he's in London. Could be to see a concert, could be here to discuss a potential move. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Exactly. Totally correct in that he could be on holiday in London hanging around waiting for the Eminem concert. But he has a lot of time to kill-certainly enough to have a chat with Jose if he and his advisors wanted to... End of the day, if he comes then fantastic. If not then we're no worse off than before this all escalated.

So what if he is here for the Eminem concert? Thats not until tomorrow evening and he was here today in and around London. Cesc was here on promotional business and yet managed to squeeze in a chat with Jose so what's to say the same hasn't happened here? If he doesn't sign then its no big deal-just twitter being twitter and we move on with our lives.
