  1. There is this Chelsea fc boy that amazes me with his skills everything I watch our u18 game highlights. His name is Tudor Mendel-Idowu. An amazing player we should watch out for.
  2. What makes you think Cullum is any way near Lukaku. Lukaku even with his flaws have proven to be 10 times better than Callum. The records are there to see especially in goals. Callum ain't a kid that is coming out of the block. He has been around for some years now.
  3. Kante, James and Chiwel being back gives me lots of joy. I just hope they get fit enough to play when the season resumes.
  4. Signing good players under a poor coach won't help this team grow. Even Ziyech and Pulisic are doing excellently well at the world cup but has been reduced to shit under us. How we make all attacking players look inferior in Chelsea fc baffles me. The earlier we have a proper coach the better. Fans keep on calling on the club to sign the best talented players around but call those players mediocre when things don't work to their expectation.
  5. I think Felix has more agility and stamina than Havertz. My problem with our team is our style of play doesn't bring out the best from our attacking players. No matter how good certain players might be, I am afraid they might find it hard to do well over here attacking-wise.
  6. Good player and would be a quality signing but might come here to play poor football and people start questioning his talent if things don't get better. Good and potent style of football makes even bad players look good. Same thing with poor style making good players look poor.
  7. I don't see any need buying players we will end up calling shit players after few months of their buys. That is the usual tradition. People clamour and speak good of a particular player and once he comes here and have difficulty performing in a poorly coached team, people say he was a shit signing and we could have gone for Mr X, Y or Z. I fully understand the advantage of having quality players who fit into a team well, which is what we all want at Chelsea but we need to have a well defined style of play that is quite productive or promising atleast. Not playing football like a relegation team. How many matches has Potter dominated in ball possession? How many matches have we played top quality football? What is even his pattern of football because we usually look clueless on the pitch of play. We need a proper coach who has a defined and effective playing style which can bring the best out of players. First of all have an effective style, from there we can point out which position at which quality is lacking. In the last few matches I cannot point at any single position that any of our player did well except that kid Hall.
  8. True but it can't be the almost everyone in the squad as some people make it out to be. And they don't get damaged over night. The same guys won club world cup, appeared in two cup finals, narrowly lost to Real Madrid on champions league knockout and got first 4 just this year. Now with the same guys where are we!
  9. How people keep saying the players are crap baffles me.. We won several trophies with this set of players. Even the recommended onces that comes here are automatically called crap when things don't go well. Poor coaching is the problem. The coach seems clueless.

  11. Get well soon pls. Never allow our performance affect your health in a negative way.
  12. I totally agree with you on this. Have you also noticed that apart from being so poor and disjointed on the pitch, we don't even dominate games anymore in terms of ball possession since Potter came in. The whole play looks boring and clueless. Lots of people also look for players to blame forgetting that it is the same set of players that have been very competitive over the past few years. Even last season in which Chiwel was out, kante was in and out, we still played decent in their absence. First time I go to watch Chelsea matches knowing very well that we will be beaten no matter how small the opponent might be. Have you noticed that the players are still relaxed even while losing a match as well? Mehn
  13. Lots of people still talk about buying player A or B when the ones we have not lived up to expectations. I refuse to believe our problem solely lies in stockpiling talented players. I think it is poor and clueless coaching. Never seen Chelsea fc poor as this in so many years. Even if we bought prime Messi into this team, we would still struggle. Poor game strategy, poor attacking play. In the last 10 matches or more we have struggled to even reach 50:50 ball possession.
  14. Yes top strikers scare defences to death only in a functional system that bring out the best in them. So many of our attackers have become a mediocre of themselves in our team. Example Sterling used to be above average and a force to reckon with while at Liverpool and later at Man City and those teams are right here in the premier league. Over here he looks quite average. Same can be said of some other attacking players in our squad who were superstars at their former clubs and am sure will still be superstars in their next club after us. Why do goals dry up for most top high scoring players which we buy? I do think It is because we hardly think of attacking the opponent. Or does the coach tell them to play that way? Can't he tell his players to attack in games? So many things I do not understand. Watching our games looks quite funny these days. These guys passes the ball in their half as if points are given for ball possession.
  15. You have made some good points here. What I do not agree is the fact that a player like Haaland can do it here. Mehn we rarely create chances for our players upfront. Creativity in our midfield is almost inexistent. All we do is passing sideways and backwards recycling possession. We aren't direct at all and our build up is quite slow. World class strikers would suffer in our pattern of play. No creativity
  16. You are right but I did say we have been attacking but not consistently. Last five years includes the reign of Tuchel, Lampard, Sarri. We have been an aggressive attacking team sometimes but not on consistent basis. I remember Lampards team being aggressive at the front but leaking goals like baskets at the back.
  17. True but isn't too soon that we are seeing the same thing from the new manager? That means after a while some of our players might start snoring on the pitch hoping to wake up at injury time. Me and you know it always get worse and the boom sacked. I hope Potter's case should rather be that we will improve and get better.
  18. I understand you very well but I think for team like ours at which managers are hired and fired at will, the managers coming in should only be concerned abt getting results in matches and that can only be achieved by playing a potent attacking game at all times not playing negative. Don't be surprise if the current manager gets boothed out before the season ends while the owner comes up to give a flimsy excuse for that. I felt that the new owners will go through that patient root of trying to build a team through trust and longevity of the manager but NO, after buying players at which a particular manager wanted, u sack him and bring in a new guy that will also want his own new players. Seems nothing have changed but the annoying part is that this guy is not playing the aggressive attacking game we are known for. Every new guy from Abromovich era comes in knowing he needs to play positive and win few trophies before he gets boothed out. With what I am seeing, I doubt we will win anything this season even if all our injured first team players returns and are in form.
  19. True but let's look for a better solution to it and that is the job of a good coach. I dislike it so much when a big team like Chelsea keeps passing the ball backwards and sideways instead of attacking opponents aggressively in a consistent manner. Yea I understand Almighty Kante(who also do a very effective job for us) is unavailable but that why can't the coach find a solution to it. It annoys me when a team like Leeds united with lesser talented players play good attacking football at all times but we play dull, backward and negative football. Even if we buy a superstar who is very creative in midfield now, does it mean if such a player becomes injured we move to point zero? Mehn this is sad and bad.
  20. It is not really about buying players every now and then, it is about bringing out the best in them. You can't buy a player and then limits his ability with a very poor style of play. Then we start saying let's buy Mr X and Q. I see no point in it. If Halaand was here with the way we play, he would struggle.
  21. Why was Tuchel sacked? What difference have this guy even made. No aggression at all, steady backward and sideways passes even when we are losing a match. Bad attacking mentality. Wrong positioning of players! It is not about fans demanding for new players every time, condemning them after few months and demanding new ones. Nobody asked questions on why most of these players flourish where they played before and still flourish after they are sold off. Even if we buy Nkunku, Halaand and the rest, they will still struggle with this kind of layer back football we play. Imagine the way we lost to Arsenal. So annoying in our own home losing in that manner. How many shots on target? I understand that we lack much creativity in midfield but a good coach would set up the team to eliminate or minimize that weakness. Why not play two strong no 4 and let others attack freely up front. We are on a losing streak.
  22. Just one creative midfielder with modric or Fabregas qualities changes everything abt this team especially our attack. Looking deeply, that is one of our major problem. Even if we have a DM, if there is no creative and forward minded guy in the midfield we will keep on struggling to create clear cut chances. Jorginho passes mostly in short sideways direction. Kovacic have no clue once he gets near the opponent defence area, only kante tries to put in few good decisions. We really need a top creative midfielder.
  23. Raphinha scored, Kounde with 2 assist yesterday for Barca
  24. Yes definitely questions should be asked if the season ends without us making top 4 but the friend I quoted only mentioned the next 4 to 5 matches, hence the reason I responded in that way. Like let's see how the season ends so we can judge things fairly.
  25. He won't be sacked even with a worst performance. We are no more under Abramovich. U cannot buy players recommended by a coach with so much money and sack him bcos of poor results. Not everyone does business that way. Klopp wouldn't have succeeded if that is how Liverpool management judged things.
