Its not important what happened after him, but what happened before him. The fact is that the years before, Barca was competing for the title, City was competing for the title, Bayern just won the treble before he joined! Maybe these teams needed some rebuild within the team, but Im talking about the clubs. All these clubs were stable, all these clubs have been champions within some years before he joined, all these clubs were competing every year. The fact that Pep only won 1 CL in the last 10 years with Bayern and City is not a good performance tbh. On the other hand we are not competing for the league title for 6 years now. Pep always was in a comfy position when he joined his clubs. Hes not doing wonders. Wonders would be to make United champion again after SAF, making Chelsea champion again after 6 years, winning the CL with clubs like AC Milan after 16 years. To transform a club from mediocrity to being world class.

Because he would be more expensive if he becomes good and when we would want to have him. And if Strasbourg sells him to us for the same price as now even tho he became a lot better, UEFA and Gary Neville would be all over us^^

On the other hand, Tottenham officially announced Vicario from Empoli. Fuck it, u need to be a lawyer and accountant to figure this all out 😂 Ig most of our timing is FFP driven tho.
-
And legal purposes. That is the reason why we havent heard anything from Jackson yet. Its not possible to officially sign him before July it seems.
-
SO we are not even allowed to do international deals?
-
Just investement since these dont count for FFP. Loan army 2.0 or as we now call it: Straßburg squad.
-
Pep just loves English midfielders to have em rot on the bench. Everyone likes to collect stuff.
-
I guess we will need Haverzt, who will be announced soon ig, because atm we are on minus 30 millions for this window so far.
-
Stability is key to success. In the history of football, no club ever faced what we are facing atm. Ship of Theseus/Chelsea really.
-
Emm 2021 seems like another era. The Ukraine war changed so much, I have to stress it again, Chelsea is a completely different club now. Its like Germany ante WW2 and post WW2. Pep on the other hand always joined a team that was top of its country before he joined. He never joined a struggliung club or a club in decline like Chelsea was for the last years, or United after Ferguson. I will always rate Mourinhos titles higher than Peps.
-
Cant really compare. Pep came to a team that finished 1st and 2nd the 4 years before he came. The club was stable and had a clear structure. His first year wasnt great tho. Our club on the other hand was threatend to get relegated to amateur football last April.
-
Its not a delay tactic, it has to do with financials and FFP. People forget that we already spent 60m this window on Nkunku. The Saudi deals cant officially go thru before July bc of their transfers window, so we have to balance our books before July, meaning we cant have any incoming players before July. Chelsea were agreeing PT with Caicedo in the meantime. Chelsea cant sign players in June.
-
Our wingers will look a lot better once we have a midfield that can provide them and strikers that can score goals.
-
Ben Jacobs just said on twitter space that the fee for Ziyech will be around 10m€ and that Pulisic will rather be loaned than sold even tho Chelsea prefers a permanent deal but feel like there wont come any offers for that.

Idk whos wedding it is but they are all there: Kepas dancing 😂 Seems like hes the one getting married?

Stayed at Napoli for 8 years to fulfill the dream of winning the championship. Then gave up the dream to play for Chelsea and compete for titles. Napoli becomes champion, and Chelsea completely messes it up. After one year, transferred to Saudi Arabia. If you play his career backwards, the whole thing becomes a story for football romantics.

I think some people still dont realise how special and unprecedented our situation is. Has there ever been a club that was undergoing a more drastic change over such a short period, happening out of nowhere?
-
Money doesnt guarantee u success, especially in a league that is flooded with money. United is a good example. Just look at the overall net spend of PL clubs since Ferguson left them and compare their spending to their success in these last 10 years:

Welcome to Allianz Bridge 😂

Bayern fans dont know where this news is coming from tho. Ig its all PR. I think its pretty obvious that all these "United dropped interest in Mount and target Caicedo now" news are nothing else than PR messages pushed by United using journos to put us under pressure. So maybe these Bayern links are our PR response, showing United that we arent afraid of them pulling out bc we might have alternatives. Mind games if u ask me.

lolololol
-
I guess it will be 55+5 in the end.
-
They wont walk away. Both sides want it done. There is a Euro next summer so Mount cant risk rotting on the bench for 1 year so will urge United to sign him. And United also wants to get this deal done. Finding a replacement target and starting all this negotiating process all over again takes a lot of time, and this new addition wouldnt be able to start preseason with the rest of the team which they clearly want from Mount.
