Spurs and their injury time winners. They always do it.

The second I read your comment, Spurs score 😂 Or not.....

Weird defending by WH
-
Noone in our squad would be able to score a goal like Pedro rn lol
-
Same with West Ham. They kinda look stronger without Rice. Thats ideal really, if u create a system where u are not dependent on a single player.
-
West Ham will make Top 5.
-
Boniface would be an ideal striker for us. Very energetic, pace, stamina, aweful finishing.

One of the worst coaches out there and still he manages to show up on every list for potential Chelsea coaches when the previous coach gets sacked.
-
Mikel would be our best midfielder atm.
-
No, he is playing for Southampton in the CS
-
No one did - kinda fishy.

The difference between us and other teams is that they have someone, for several years, whom they can rely on to score goals, sometimes out of nowhere, breaking deadlocks and taking matters into their own hands, who can score even tho the team is playing badly. Like Son at Tottenham, Salah at Liverpool, etc. Since Hazard, we havent had such a player, and since then, it feels like we struggle to score goals. Every goal seems to come with a lot of effort and struggle. With us you always feel like every goal has to be a team effort, a team goal, with the whole team somehow involved, or it wont work. No goals out of nowhere, no goals that turn the game around, no “wow, how did he do that” goals - because we dont have the player for that. And this is of course particularly frustrating and draining, especially against teams that park the bus.
-
That is what I doubt actually. We will have the same problems with a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. We saw that last season. But we will see after the international break maybe.
-
Well, then we should use the holistic way of robsblubot and look at the midfield and attacking players and their positioning too. Maybe our defenders have to slow down bc they are badly positioned.
-
The xG algorithm takes all of this into account and we are up there with City in this aspect. The team contribution to our goals in 2017, when we last won the PL title, wasnt even that big, it was basically Hazard and Costa who carried the whole attack. But it worked. Nothing can explain or excuse this: The rest of the team contributed more than enough this season for our attackers to score Ofc people should talk about the whole team but the fact that our fanbase is talking more about Silva atm than about Madueke, Mudryk and Jackson is kinda weird. Its like blaming McDonalds for getting fat.
-
So Chelsea cant score clear chances, 11 big chances missed this season already, top of the table in that aspect but Chelsea fanbase mainly talking about Silva? Kinda weird The main problems are Mudryk, Madueke and Jackson. None of them has offensive efficiency. Our best attacking player in the last 5 years in terms of efficiency was Marcus Alonso.
-
Yeah, we can talk about systems, formation, set up all day long but truth is if we play the same system we have but with Haaland up front instead of Jackson we would be in the top4 rn. Football is about scoring goals. We are creating enough to score goals, but we fail to do so.

Top of the league 🤩
-
xG City 2.00 - scored 5 xG Spurs 2.40 - scored 5 xG Brighton 1.32 - scored 3 xG Chelsea 2.28 - scored 0 We have the same xG than City in this season so far - they scored more than double the amount of goals. Same old. Since Costa and Hazard left us, we lack offensive efficiency a lot.
-
And we will see Sterling on the left for sure. I think Poch wants to have a consistent lineup, a clear foundation for the start, and when this is set, make small changes. Cant blame him for trying to play it consistent and kinda save after such a chaotic season. Build your structure first, then vary within this structure. What makes it more complicated is that Madueke hasnt been fit during preseason and Mudryk catched some weird "injury?" and Palmer is the new guy. We will see more changes after the international break for sure.
-
And still u could see that all his confidence was gone last year and even in this years preseason. Funny how 90% of people here wanted him sold to the Saudis 1 month ago and now he is our best player so far. Just shows how little we know abouot football.
-
So u think u know better than Poch. That hybris lol
-
Sterling had 1 entire shit year and now is slowly coming back to form so consistency is really key for him now. Imagine switching him to the left and he is shit there, all his confidence would be gone that he built after the 2 last games before the international break.
-
Madueke never played on the left wing in his entire career. Gosh, teams managed by u lots would get relegated with 0 points.
