Yeah, people confident we are comfortably winning 2:0 at the Bridge are either super optimistic in life or have been away for our previous 16 games…
-
I still can't comprehend people using Arsenal as legit argument though. We are not Arsenal and Potter is not Artreta, so thinking we will do the same thing is just wishful thinking (or huge stretch in logic). United had Ole at the wheel and gave him time, good luck with that. And even if we did the Artreta thing, whatever it is… should we be happy with it? We were top team and Cl winners when TB took over, so why should we be all ecstatic when we will be competing for top4 again after wasting 4 years? We are way better and richer than Arsenal and have way different issues, so how they are our role model now? I feel the major thing Boehly and Potter succeeded in so far is convincing our fans we are Brighton level and should have the appropriate mindset for it.

Exactly this. This cocky claim is based on what? Pissed Fans on the stadium chanting for Tuchel? I wouldn't say the revenue from fans in other side of the world is worse then some local fella with 50 quid ticket, but that off topic anyway. But yeah, let's enjoy another "professional" press piece where all facts against him are turned into joke, as we love the guy since he was born in the same country as ours. "His" Brighton masterpiece performs better without him? Let's omit it or turn into joke as well. Fun thing is that people went into general consensus that Lampard needs to be sacked and is incompetent, while he had worse players, better results and an actual track record to back himself, but maybe fans mentality was bit different then.

Basically, given it's a Chelsea thing I feel a lot of things can go very wrong with it and uncertain future. It still counts towards Clearlake and Boehly's liquidity, given he is throwing dough on several clubs at once and our owners companies are in the industry of making money from shifting money. But you're right of course, stadium is an issue (one of many, unfortunately) and we missed a window when it should have been addressed.
-
Let's get Conte back here, bam, several problems solved at once 😆 Well, the stadium is billions and with the cost-of-living crisis and process of making us midtable team there's no guarantee increased capacity means increased revenue in 10 years horizon. Who knows, it would be nice to have it, but maybe not investing into building it will not turn out as bad as it seems.
-
We failed to beat bottom of league Forest. We will lose to Soton and drop out of CL pretty surely, yet people will buy this bs forever, as a big chunk of our fanbase has clearly accepted the mid-table mentality for whatever reason. Potter is luckiest man on earth that Boehly has this ultra happily naive approach to football.
-
Of course we were. Started well, but Dortmund actually has a manager, so we were quickly reduced to toothless. Of course, controlled the game as better team should do with worse team, but done no real danger and conceded. That's what tactics do in football, but it's easier to say we lost because Felix had hit the bar. Those players don't pair and field themselves and back in Tuchel days we were actually able to beat stronger opposition with way worse players and just as useless attack, because able manager win the games with tactics. And well, surely leaving out Auba and DDF but registering Mudryk who presents himself as totally not ready for CL, while we are loaded with wingers should be questioned - if you decide you don't need a cf, prove you can win without one. Yet we have no mentality and performance. It just a sad waste to throw money and talent under mid-table manager.
-
So what's the point of having a manager on the sideline at all if we end up with old song of blaming it on players anyway? The system shut our best players off. We play useless Havertz out of position every game. Playing him in tandem with Felix made both worse. We were completely closed down by worse opposition and reaction to this was letting Cucu in. I'm done.
-
It's not 80's anymore. Manager is supposed to prepare a proper system, make right subs and maybe… dunno, bring a striker to a CL game? Or, like, adjust to situation instead of clapping his hands? Develop the players? Surely the fact we have best and most expensive talents ever and worst performances in 27 years is not on manager. Dunno man. Trust the process. Boys gave everything. That's life.
-
People saying we've been playing great must be traumatised with last 20 performances and just seeing what they would wish to see. We were completely neutralized by Dortmund after 20 mins, managed to push for another 10 and that's it. Against worse team. Get real.
-
So, Potter costing us Europe football next season, CL this season, world's top talents toothless… exquisite manager, give him time!
-
Just banging their heads on the wall, useless.
-
20-something years of watching this, we've been down, we've been up, we've been down again but ever since Potter, it's just painful to watch. Nothing more than wasting great team and great legacy, just sad.
-
So, Koulibaly our most dangerous attacker
-
😂
-
Cucu in 😂
-
Mudryk raw as academy newcomers, Potter useless as always. We were playing chess, conceded as always, now no reaction and if we will react, it will be in form of completely crubmbling
-
Hahaha, pathetic
-
Now the free kick is 3 meters away from where James was fauled lol
-
I think if we'd just utilize our strengths and not expose deficiencies, that ends up in us being run over now, we'd lead already. I understand the panic, but it's Dortumund, not Bayern.
-
I'd really love to see what could Tuchel or Conte do with this group today. It looks like Mudryk was effectively neutralized in 15 minute by them, James, Zyiech and out midfield is successfully neutralized by our own tactic and Havertz had swiftly neutralized himself
-
Dortmund could be 3 up, so it's not like they are super clinical in comparison, fortunately
-
Oh come on Felix!
-
Kai is not CF neither a man to break the lines. We are down to 10 men when he is left like a scarecrow up top, no use
-
Felix so close…
