  1. At this rate, he has a pretty good chance of exceeding his personal best of 9 goals and 6 assists he scored for Chelsea in a single-season. But he won’t be able to beat the 2 goals and 2 assists he provided for Chelsea and their champions league winning season because Milan have been knocked out of the CL.

  3. Gains from trade. He is far more valuable right now as a sale asset than he is to Chelsea. He did all this stuff you see in these charts from the left wing. He will never play ahead of Stirling out there, and if Leao (sp?) is coming all the more reason to sell now.
  4. Now is the time to get value for Pulisic. His WC stats were off the hook. One example:
  5. Watching evals of Pulisic’s play against England, the perception gulf between Chelsea fans and Pulisic fans is wide. It is time for Chelsea to part ways with him in January and make manager, player, and fans on both sides happier.
  6. Gallagher was smothered and ineffective last match. Kova seems more likely to do better with pressure (at least couldn’t do any worse).
  7. Chelsea was not prepared by their manager. Anyone could foresee that this would be all about handling pressure, and play in tight spaces. Eventually blaming a deficit of talent will become impossible. Leeds had a better game plan, end of story.
  8. Today’s piece in The Athletic says he won’t be signing an extension so his options are to play out his run and/or hope for a transfer. Given the number of times he has been described on this thread as “shit,” and his role in putting CFC into the CL a couple of times, it’s not surprising that he would want to move on. The clip at the top of this page shows that he still has quality, and TT still values him as an impact sub, so he will get some minutes. But probably best for all concerned if a move can be arranged.
  9. Hope the parties can arrange a transfer. I think the bulk of Chelsea fans will be happier with that, and so will the bulk of Christian Pulisic fans.
  10. Pulisic is only player playing in to Lukaku, or playing the ball forward generally. Midfield is failing.
  11. I heard a possible Dest loan from Barca is in play. Not the best defender but much quicker.
  12. Alonzo shockingly slow. Just getting abused every which way. Eventually that has to cost us.
  13. Lukaku is great whether or not Tuchel can use what he does well. His numbers don’t lie and his distribution and finishing skills are evident. Some players don’t fit some systems. No need to disparage either the system or the player when that happens. It’s not like he’s alone as a Chelsea player whose market value exceeds the value Chelsea is getting from him.
  14. Anyone who can’t make good use of Lukaku needs to rethink the attack
  15. Exactly. A move would be good for Chelsea and would help these other young wingers (especially the good English lads) to develop. Make it happen!
  16. You are knocking down straw men. It’s not about anyone doing something “wrong” or complaining. It’s about whether a player like Pulisic is happy as the 4th or 5th winger option (probably not), and whether his sale/loan value is > than the value Chelsea is getting from him (probably yes).
  17. Trust me, Chelsea has lost a lot of American fans for its use of Pulisic. They know why Chelsea played CL football in the 2020-21 season. Squad player, ha. When he leaves it will be a good day for all concerned.
  18. Watching this and other Chelsea boards makes thin a move in January would be good for all concerned. No one at Chelsea (manager, fans) rates him at his market value — well, some of his teammates do, but …. Chelsea fans seem unanimous that he will be perpetually injured, he should just be s super sub, and blah blah blah. So if he can’t stay healthy in the PL, why not deal him in January, maybe to a league where hacking the technical players is penalized more heavily? Win-win, right? No way he will be satisfied long term as the 4th or 5th winger, so given all the talent in the Chelsea system, selling him to a club that values him more highly will happen eventually. Why not in January. CHO looks good, Mount is a mainstay, Ziyech is in form, Havertz gets a lot of winger minutes, and for some reason TT likes Werner. Fans are talking constantly about acquiring additional attackers. Seems a no brainer. Yes, I am certain that he will flourish elsewhere, but most of you are not. He’s made of glass, right? So why not get some value for him now before he’s permanently broken?
  19. I think we are saying the same thing (or consistent things), two different ways. He is happy at Chelsea now, recognizes that he must compete for PT, and is happy to do that next year. He has said as much publicly. He has also intimated that he wants to be a starter, or the equivalent of a starter in a rotation system. There is a manager perspective and a player perspective. They are not the same and both can be right, even when they conflict. TT might maximize Chelsea outcomes in a way that doesn’t maximize Pulisic’s effectiveness. Such is the nature of formations and systems. Chelsea knows this better than most clubs.
