If Lampard is on the bench some matches, it means Raul Meireles (an almost 29 years old player) is playing. Lampard is playing bad this season, but he is still better than Raul, because the portuguese is almost 100% useless every match. Actually at that time I remember a talk about our squad being too old, and with lack of ambition. Then Scolari was fired and we discovered he was the problem, not the players. The same is happening now. I really dont see players walking on the pitch, I see players playing with no pattern and with no confidence.

He is suggesting both were too old for Chesea, and were almost retiring. The fact is that we have a small squad, and firing those two player in that moment was a stupid thing to do, we arent in a position to waste players like that, even if they are too old.
