I think if you want to see how Pulisic will try to do everything Lampard wants him to do, look at his relationship with his father Mark Pulisic. His father has been a professional coach Christian's entire life. If a child doesn't have top talent, that arrangement can go negative at some point. Christian and Mark have a very positive relationship and when Christian is in the US, his father is with him coaching him on how to use his skills to achieve what his manager wants and needs. I am sure they talk all the time. Pulisic is going to spend every waking hour trying to be the player Lampard needs. It is all he has ever been with his father, in a very positive way.

This is the most composed we have played all year, without sacrificing fast play. The boys looked really good today. Really moved the ball around beautifully. There were mistakes, but so minor compared to other games. (Looking at you Alonso) Wonderful game to watch.

I read an article about what predictors are the best to know if an young athlete will be able to perform at the highest level of their sport. The number one indicator is how quickly does their body recover from injury. One of the points the article made was that athletes acquire minor injuries all the time in training and games. Those that recover fast miss much less training and game time than those who do not heal quickly. So they advance with skills much faster.

I did sort of. I fell Monday night, bleed terrible, spent 7 hours in the Emergency Room. Had such a severe concussion that there was a noticeable delay in when I heard what someone said and when I could respond. Have been laid out for a few days. Today is my first day back to work. Concussions do weird things to the mind. Almost like you are aware you are not processing information but there is nothing you can do about it.

I think a quality defender is doable in January. I think to get a quality striker or winger, the creativity shown in the Pulisic deal might be necessary. When I say quality, someone that is producing right now that you would want for more than 3 seasons.

I would love to know who Lamprd's targets are? He is a very smart man. I am sure he will keep those ideas close to the vest until he feels saying who they are will help acquiring them.

He has made the most progress of anyone since preseason. He has real potential. a young player's climb to being really good or great player is always up and downs, so I know he will have some bad games going forward, but the good play is really getting better.

Alonzo? I must admit I was pretty harsh about Zouma, and he has been playing better, not great but better.

I have watched two Watford games in the PL this season. Their attack was painful to watch, if you can call it an offensive attack. They really don't seem to have any player chemistry moving forward. I don't know if it is coaching or the players, but it is ugly.

I watched, It was not great for either side. I dont know how important this cup is? It seems a bit of a throw away whn managers throw in their youth to get experience. In the long run it may help us with the players not getting caught up in the media about how good they have become. Top 4 in PL is the prize for me for this season.

He is so well spoken about what he wants and what he sees that needs to be done. Most of what he says is not prepared, it is very nice in an age where most managers in all sports just repeat the same prepared statements.

Pulisic has been given free roaming on the US team for many years under several coaches. I'm not saying that is a good thing, just it has become a natural thing for him to do.
