I have read several times that the owners have two different transfer budgets. One for the senior team and one for the developmental players. They better buy a few more clubs to move these kids on. The U21 team can only be so big.

I have seen countless people on this forum say we should have been in for player X three years ago. Part of getting them on the way up is developing them. Not all will make it to the top, but there is nothing wrong in seeing them doing well amongst their peers. We sure as fuck are celebrating Colwill dominating in the same tournament. It is just part of our younger players getting to their potential.

Yes, we are developing these players and each step of their development adds to the strength of the team.

Santos and Maatsen could have stayed out longer, but wanted to be there early to impress. Santos played his last full game just 10 days ago. Reece and Broja could have taken longer with rehab, I am sure they will ease them back into full training. It is good to see these guys wanting to be there day one.

Nice to see Broja back on the pitch. It was never clear if he would be back for preseason. His recovery has been really good.

I am guessing, but I think they are trying to avoid some players reporting to preseason training that might have a negative attitude. We will know if they keep Rom away.
