If you watched the game you would've noticed the penalty shouldn't have been a penalty. He didn't find time to praise Di Canio, he was asked a question by the press and he answered, that's all. Stop twisting things. You're a hypocrite. It's irritating that you can defend the manager from here back to the moon yet equally slate the players at the club.

Benitez has been at CFC as long as RDM now (this season). This season he's had as much time as RDM to implement his ideas - not sure what you're getting at. This is bullshit sorry. You can't compare Avram Grant's team to our team last year. We were far stronger then, we weren't on the verge of a CL exit and our best players weren't in their prime like they were under Grant. Why twist the facts just to undermine what RDM did? You don't have to be controversial just for the sake of it, Henrique.

Nope. What about Cavani, who's currently out scoring Falcao (last time I checked anyway) whilst at Napoli who are arguably as "average" as Atletico? I said it from day one, Falcao is an immense striker, has the most lethal finish in world football when on form but he doesn't fit in the style we're trying to implement here at CFC and frankly the money we have to offer to get him is too much. Cavani is a much better fit for this team and would be as expensive - frankly if we were to pick a big money striker I'd pick Cavani over Falcao everyday.

Well I think that depends on the game and match we're playing. To be honest I think in this system we'll always need a holding player in the mould of Mikel simply because it allows the player next to him and those in front of him to have a bit more freedom - Busquets as you mentioned does this extremely well however I think it's arguably easier for him since Barcelona have the ball for the majority of the game. Khedira also has the excellent Xabi Alonso next to him who sits deep anyway and is very competent defensively - this allows him to be a bit more aggressive than Mikel for example. Luiz isn't that good in the holding role to be honest as it restricts him offensively and it's not that beneficial to the team - we're a lot more exposed when he plays the holding role as he thinks because he's in midfield he has a license to go forward. Luiz next to Mikel is more balanced because Luiz is a good defender and also has a brilliant eye for the pass - also he has the tendency to harass the opponent like Khedira for example. I think Luiz is best at CB though simply because it most importantly opens up another spot in the team and he isn't under as much pressure when receiving the ball so he can easily pick out a good pass as we saw this Thursday. Due to having Mikel in the team as well Luiz then has the extra license to roam forward where Mikel will drop deeper and cover him until he returns from his adventures up top. It makes us more unpredictable in a sense - I really hope that if Mourinho or whoever is manager next season will implement the above properly as I feel ATM it's just being half heartedly done.

I think people misunderstand Luiz's role and Mikel's role in the team. Luiz is an aggressor - that's the sort of CB he is. He always comes out to harass the opponent and win the ball back, it's nothing to do with his discipline really. You can't expect that he'll sit deep and read the game with the type of CB he is - we've got whoever partners Luiz doing that of the majority of the game - similarly with Mikel. People expect Mikel to chase and harass opponents because he's a DM but fail to recognise that there are different types of DMs around. Mikel is a holding midfielder, he doesn't come charging out - he reads the game, blocks the channels and the lines between the midfield and defence whilst also being a safe haven for those in front of him when attacks break down. Basically what i'm trying to say is that there's a general misconception going on with his role.

We need that IMO. It'd be a lot more comforting when we're resting Hazard and Mata for example to have a -3- of Schurrle - Oscar - Moses. Schurrle would be a good buy depth wise.

If I could chose who Mourinho would bring with him from Real Madrid (realistically) it would be Modric by far. This guy just fits into what we're missing as a DLP. He would be the best signing we could make IMO.
