The forum was full of messages about how he wasn't good enough, it isn't just me saying it. Again this is far easier to say than the actual reality. We simply don't know it Poch could do it with a team of decent experienced players, the difference between youth and experience is night and day. If poch gets sacked I hope we get a "world class" manager because this narrative that any other WC manager would have this team firing is simply not true. Players play to how other players are around them, take Enzo for example in the world cup, he was amazing because of who he had around him, he will have been getting constant directions of senior players on the pitch. You cannot polish a turd, no matter who the person trying to polish it is.

New managers make an immediate impact in relegation teams for them to either get sacked the season after or get relegated the season after, quick fixes temporary seals the problem but doesn't actually resolve the problem. This team doesn't need a new manager, first and foremost it's need a new recruitment team, you cannot fill a team with kids in every position and expect consistency regardless who the manager is. We have 2 options 1. Scrap this plan and go back to spending on big names every season, switch managers like are underwear and consistently chasing a settled and the right squad for each managers play style. 2, grit our teeth and hold on to what we are doing and hopefully it works, the reason we are where we are isn't because of the manager, it's because of this apparent new model the club is taking. Potter frank and Poch, doesn't matter.

Your confusing tactics with coaching mate, not once in that message did it mention tactics, it's easy to say Poch hasn't improved one player when most of us have never seen most of these play before now.

I saw this In another forum, I think it's spot on. How are you supposed to judge the improvement of Jackson, Palmer, Caicedo, Madueke, Gusto, Disasi, Colwill, Petrovic? Palmer is better than what he showed at City last season, Gusto has been excellent, Disasi and Colwill are better players than they were at the beginning of the season, and Sterling improved on last season. Let's not let a narrative get in the way of actual evidence. You also cannot assemble a squad devoid of leadership characteristics and then 8 months into his tenure blame the manager for the lack of leadership being shown (even more so when considering other factors like injuries). As I've said, keep the manager unless things become untenable, build the squad, fix the injury issues. That's the only way forward.

Sometimes it does seem like every man for themselves but in big moments and in moments that need experience young players look to the seniors players and rely on them to show them the way, problem we have is there is none so no on knows wtf to do and that shows on the pitch.

Bad buys for alot of money doesn't mean they are good players as we have seen over the course of the season, the plan apparently is to buy top youth players and blend them into a winning team, so the theory goes. The idea its self is actually brilliant it's just been practiced wrong, yes you need young players to build and mold a team, but these players have come to a new league and a new country with no senior players bar sterling and silva and chilwell to teach them nurture them and learn from. Managers can sort tactics and improve players as a coach but they cannot and will not ever be able to teach them what they could learn of established senior players. And this is one of the problem we can keep replacing the manager until the cows come home but until we have a solid senior player basis for the "young talent" to learn and perfect thier craft off, we will never improve.

Sorry but I think your wrong, the plan looked from my prospective to hit Liverpool on the counter and it worked and it worked well we had the chances the tactics gave us and we fucked up, but the end of the game the players were absolutely shattered, this is why I think he went for penalties.

I blame the entire club, our injury list is still huge, and we are in the exact same situation we have been in for 2 years! The tactics were working in the 90 mins, we had a hand full of opportunities to score and the players and only the players fucked that up! He did change it up in extra time and Poch fucked it up playing for penalties, that's on him

But that's my point, if the players were good enough to slot the ball in the net, no one here would have an issue, the players get a far too easy ride here! We have become obsessed with blaming the managers for our problem when in reality if the players were as good as some on here make out! We should have won that 4-0

I'm not defending or bashing the manager here, but would this conversation be going on if our players could finish? The exact same performance just the chances actually finished? Because if it wouldn't then there is no argument.
