  1. :Let me know if you get to see it again so I can try and mock something up which is very realistic .
  2. If you want to give me some information I can try and mock up a design for you.
  3. That away is beautiful. Is the design like the Schalke one without the pinstripes and with a collar? http://www.footballshirtculture.com/14/15-kits/schalke-04-2014-15-adidas-home-football-kit.html I hope the third isn't as bad as you say as the other two are instant classics.
  4. I didn't mean you . Willian is a class player but only on FMH, he'd be nothing more than overpriced back up for us in reality.
  5. Just done a very rough mock up of the away kit with inspiration from the Umbro kit that we all love:
  6. Looks better when worn but I am not keen on the gradiented stripes and the sash (could it have been light grey?) As always though Adidas produce amazing training shirts which would look amazing as our real kit and the navy one would be a great third shirt in my opinion with a gold/blue away.
  7. Starts this season: 41 Starts in CAM: 21 Starts in RW: 19 Starts in LW: 1 Rating in CAM: 7.35 Rating in RW: 7.21 Rating in LW: 6.05 In all honesty while he is a good player unless we get rid of Sturridge or don't buy Hulk I cannot see the use of him. Hazard can cover Mata and Marin can cover Hazard and I feel defensively Hulk is better as well as something a bit different with his long shots instead of passing/dribbling game that Mata and Hazard play.
  8. 50 million Euros is nearly 40.5 million GBP so I would assume the £38m price is what they mean.
  9. We have 51 games in the season at least and with injuries forbidding we will need at least 2 players in each position then versatile players all around. I believe a DR is needed at least but Frank is now 34 and not going to play 20 games in the season as he struggled to play 26 this year and showed major signs of fatigue in parts. I don't believe Essien is the type of player anymore so someone to replace him is in desperate need though I'd love to be able to say "Essien will be like his old self again", yet it won't happen. Providing we get Hulk we will need at least a RB to cover Ivanovic/play against backs to the wall opposition to get as many players forward as possible, a versatile defender in order to cover for a player in case he is injured. I also believe we need a CDM as I don't think Mikel is very reliable at times and can be either good on his day or very bad and cost us, Martinez springs to mind due to his ability to play in the defence too and to continue the Spanish contingent we are having. Then we need a box to box player in replace of Essien as I know you say Ramires cannot pass nor be creative but really I can see Mata dropping into an advanced position of space in front of the two CMs to get the ball and make the chances so all Ramires will have to do is get the ball, dribble it (in which he is good at) and do a simple pass to Mata or Hazard. The attack seems fine to me though as with Hulk we will have a versatile set and providing Ramires and Dembele (potentially) can play there we won't need cover in which was lacking this year.
  10. I agree but when Porto and Benfica do it in Europe against big teams and they also suceed for their national side in which Hulk does it is normally a good indicator of their raw talent. Oh but it begs the question - If League 2 had 10 teams vying for the title on the last week but the Premier League had 2 does that make League 2 a better standard? Not really, so there's a flaw in your logic but I understand what you mean.
  11. I agree and disagree, Portuguese teams have a good track record in the Europa League with the likes of Braga and such. It shows that even though France have a deeper league the quality of the teams who compete for Portugal are better and in terms of Hulk this applies. It is a good learning curve and nice to get the winning mentality and as Chelsea have proved players from Portugal can come into the Premier League and be successful. God bless WhoScored.com and their accurate facts .
  12. According to the UEFA Coefficients Portuguese teams are better than French. Also in regards to Hulk's weight according to WhoScored he is 165lb (75kgs) and 6ft (180cm).
  13. I believe it is premature to go for any Atletico Bilbao player when all they really did was be a cup side in the previous season. While Munian is a good player Bilbao finishing 10th says a lot and the only real standout players from their team was Martinez and Llorente (they've broken into Spain's squad)/Iraizoz (rated as the best goalkeeper in Liga BBVA 2011/12by WhoScored). While I agree he has potential but £30m doesn't warrent this as we did it before with Shaun Wright-Phillips and now he's at QPR. We'd be far better off with Hulk, Navas or Susaeta (he had 7 assists in Liga BBVA for Atletico Bilbao and 6 goals from RW too) though I admit Susaeta is a risk but at 24 he's demonstrated consistent performances for a few seasons now where as Munian has broken in at 19 and only really influenced the Europa League campaign.

  15. If you watch the away game at Leverkusen you'd see Ivanovic dropped into the centre and left his man completely, he is a competent right back, but sadly isn't natural and as already mentioned the season is long and against teams who haven't got as much attacking threat playing van der Wiel at RB would for me be a more attacking move and in all honestly a needed one if they park the bus like a lot did at The Bridge last season. Providing we buy Hulk he'd be instructed to cut in and we need a Boswinga-esque player (albeit a better one) to overlap to provide width. £8m for Holland's best defender and one of the best attacking wing backs in the game I really cannot see what is going to go wrong and even more so when we have a minimum of 51 games next season.
  16. I don't see the need for him to pick out a splitting pass though as I would imagine Mata would drop deeper into the hole near the opposition CDM and all Ramires will have to do is pass to him or Hazard on the LW then let them deal with the attacking. Mata would act as a playmaker in my eyes allowing Hazard/Hulk to move inside for him to deliver the ball to them or Torres, so therefore Ramires doesn't need to act as any playmaker but more of a player who can get the ball from deep and bring it out to the players with natural talent to break down defences whether this be Mata's ability to spray the ball around, Hazard's dribbling or Hulk's long shots.
  17. That I am , cannot get enough of the site and how useful it is.
  18. Thanks for the welcome guys , hope to see you around the site.
  19. This confuses me, I know Lampard is a good player but in a 4231 we need someone who can run from box to box and move the ball from defence to attack with energy. You say Ramires cannot pass but his pass percentage was 85.1% which is pretty reasonable (ranked 12th in our squad) and in comparison Lampard had 86.9% so not that much more. While we compare them Rami had the most tackles on average per game in the squad (2.8) and the 6th most interceptions (1.9). Attacking wise Lampard had the most shots per game (2.2) but Ramires had a respectable 1.6 whilst he was also the top dribbler with 1.4 successful dribbles per game. In my opinion, this seems the perfect for the role of a player who can bridge defence and attack on a fast counter attacking move but also play a solid line when needed to plug gaps and stop the opposition attacks. To see more of his statistics from this season please see here.
  20. Wasn't sure if it was 1 or 2, thanks for clarifying . I think if we put in a decent bid with the history between the clubs and the deal in hand they will accept providing Dembele wants to come to us, we will be comfortably be in the driving seat with this and it could be a great move as we look to move away from the way we played under Jose and finally herald in a free-flowing game full of skill, energy and unity. Providing the role Ramires has i think Dembele will get a fair share of games in the same position but their versatility really sets them apart and makes them both incredible assets to the team.
  21. We have a very good rapport with Fulham, add Malouda and a couple of million and I am sure they will be fine with it. They will be losing their star player but in my opinion they have Ruiz and if Dembele pushes for the move there is no real choice for them, there's not many other players I can think of though who can suit the role for so little money so if Fulham stick at their guns we could have a problem. Hopefully this move for Hazard and the rumoured one for Hulk is the start and not an end of the spree as I still feel we need several players including a world class CDM (Vidal, Martinez or Bender) & RB (van der Wiel or Azpilicueta) then a back up CB (Howedes, though Martinez can play there if needs be and Mikel can slot into the team). That is without considering a potential back up striker if Torres and Sturridge misfire though we do have Marin who can slot in if we do sign Hulk as he can move up front.
  22. Totally agree with that and I believe in a 4231 Ramires suits the role beside the defensive midfielder more in order to act as a carrier of the ball with his energy in counter attacking situations. This is also a reason why I think Dembele should be bought in as cover as Lampard with his age and as he's always been hasn't ever matched the energy of other players but managed to do what he has done with a superb footballing brain, yet in a 4231 with him being more attacking against big teams he can struggle to outmuscle the likes of Mata or Hazard for that place in the centre to do what he does best and that is attack.
  23. Hey guys, I am one of those who'd rather make an impact in the forums rather than post "Hi I am Mr X, this is me" then disappear. Anyway about me, I am Dec (short for Declan), 18 years old and I'm currently based in the Midlands, England. I have supported Chelsea all my life thanks to my Dad's influence and don't go to matches as regularly as I like but sometimes pop down to The Bridge for odd games. Favourite player wise I don't have any but I am excited by the prospect of Torres, Hazard, Mata, Hulk and Ramires linking up and believe in a solid team unit not just attacking force so I highly rate Luiz and Ivanovic. Away from Chelsea I love looking at the tactical side of the game and even own a successful Football Manager website which is rated in the top 15 worldwide by Sports Interactive themselves (though mine is the only one based on the handheld versions). I'm also a very statistical person and often back up my points with statistics when I try to put them across often citing WhoScored.com as a source. Also I follow kit site reguarly and have a passion for graphic design which I have made fantasy kits in the past. Other sport wise I follow Ice Hockey and go to the local teams' regularly; Nottingham Panthers, though I prefer the faster and more competitive NHL in which I support Boston Bruins. That's about it really, look forward to seeing you guys around and hopefully getting into some good debates about all things Chelsea. Keep the blue flag flying high, Dec P.S. I am looking to start another site which hopefully I can show you guys soon, judging by some of the replies on here you'd all love it and I cannot wait to unveil it within the next year for an exclusive preview to here and a few other select sites (mainly my own and my friends'.)
  24. Alonso is the deep lying midfielder used to intercept balls then spray it, this is more suited to Mikel I believe and Khedria is more like the bridge between attack and defence - this is Lampard. In your system we'd play 6 midfielders and a striker but I see your point however it worries me how Rami would fit in. I believe Rami would either have to replace Lampard or play back up to Hulk which is sad. However welcome Eden , if you do half as much as you did in Ligue 1 you'll be a hit.
