I think the main reason Kante is finding it harder to adapt offensively is because Azpi is clueless going forward. he never overlaps the winger. He is always flat footed and doesnt take on the opposite fullback. He is so mechanical with his passing and his crossing has not even been that good this season. him being captain will make it hard to bench him like it was when Brana started struggling but im really hoping we upgrade on him next season. City spent over 100m on full backs and it transformed their play so much. In Pep's first season he didnt struggle with the attacking side of the game it was the full backs that were shit. When he upgraded his fullbacks it solidified his defence since he could now no longer be easily caught on the counter becuase his fullbacks have pace to burn and they are physically and technically imposing. If we upgrade our full backs I am almost certain 70 to 90% of our problems right now will be solved. It will give us width, it will mean our central mid fielders are not being pulled all over the place leaving us vulnerable in the middle like we have been.

This notion of Kante playing centrally is a myth, under Conte, Kante played in a 2 and wasnt the seating mid it was Matic in Conte's first season then last year he tried to switch it around and have Kante sit deeper with Bakayoko further forward. it didnt really work and by the end of the season Kante was back in his role as the roaming DM. He is actually influencing our game more, his interceptions are allowing us to win the ball up higher, check Morata's goal against Burnley it came from Kante's interception. If we are going to play a high pressing game we need Kante playing there as he is one of the best at what he does. Because of Sarri's system we have a ot of the ball and Kante is now being asked to contribute more in attack something he is improving each week. Same thing happened under Conte, Kante has such a high football IQ he learns really quickly and by the end of the season he would have fully adapted to his new role. In each of his 2 seasons under Conte he developed and added a different dimension to his game and this year is no less. If you look it up the position his playing is actually closer to the one he played when he came over from France. Also at Leicester it was Drinkwater seating whilst Kante roamed in mid. I low key blame it on football racism (people thinking Kante is only a DM, he is so much more than that) had it been a player with a different skin tone doing what Kante does they would never be labelled just a DM. (Casemiro from Madrid is a DM, Kante on the other hand is not a DM he has so much more to his game) Look at most of our pre assists and transitional play it comes through him.

Stats always flatter to deceive, Christensen always has a passing accuracy over 90% because he passes side ways most of the time. Willian will always do this, he gets on form for 2/3 games every season and he rides that form for the rest of the season. I remember last season during the time we played Barca, Willian was looking like a world beater and 3 weeks later everyone wanted to gouge their eyes watching him play. Conte even ended up benching him. His a good player to have on the bench for depth but he should not be starting for us. We really need to be looking at buying a young winger who we can develop the way we did with Hazard (winger who would still contribute now but at the same time develop into a top 15 player in the world) In the ideal world we would go for Dembele or Sancho

Kante's offensive out put has been great do not underestimate his influence. He has at least 4-5 pre assists this season. Against Burnely he was arguably our MoM from an offensive out put. look at most of our goals and attacking moves they had him as a pre assist or playing in the final assist.

Go on twitter or any other Chelsea forum people are saying Kova should be binned because Ross and RLC is playing well. Its still a minority but its growing by the day.

People are getting carried away with Barkley and RLC's form Kovacic is still our best starting mid in that 8 position in most games. He links the midfield and attack well, breaks the lines well, passes well, retains the ball and overall is a better defender. Its good Ross and Ruben are pushing him but lets not get carried away. Im seeing a lot of bin Kovacic and dont sign him on a permanent deal when in actual fact we need to, just a year ago we had Bakayoko and Drinkwater starting games and peple have the audacity to question us signing a quality young mid like Kova??

I would keep him as depth but I would def be looking at an upgrade. In an ideal world we would go for Barca's Dembele because his young and can then replace Hazard in the future as our main threat but at the same still contribute right now. His having problems with the manager so the right offer can get him.

Tibo did that because he was taller. Watch yesterday, the couple of times he tried claiming the ball at set pieces he ran into traffic and looked a bit shaky because he doesnt tower over everyone like Tibo who was 6ft5 I believe.

Cesc is done at this level man, he has to be carried so much by players around him. I would keep him as a bench option, he has an eye for a good pass so when we need a goal he might be a good option off the bench.

If Sarri rotates all 3 well, they would be happy. It means all will have about 20-25 plus starts at the end of the season which is more than good enough if we do well in the Europa and League and other cups. Look at City they rotate Mahrez, KDB, Silva, B Silva,Sane and Gundogan effortlessly and I dont hear any moaning about game time. As long as the rotation is done properly we will be fine.

RLC has to start or at least be on the bench, against a low block like Burnley we will need good dribblers. Also helps his coming off a hatrick his confidence will be up.
