This happened again last year with us dragging negotiations, Bonucci ended up going to Milan and we lost out on Sandro because Juve didn't want to sell another defender. I really dont understand why we do this sometimes' we overpay for dross like DD, Rudiger who Im pretty sure the manager never recommended (reports say both were board signings) but drag negotiations for the players the managers supposedly request, its like we like sabotaging the managers.

Look what happened to DD last year for example a preseason with us would have helped him massively. Our league and Champ league performance has also been affected by the poor running of the club, we had not finished outside of the top 4 in over 10 years but since marina took over a more prominent role we have finished outside of top 4 twice in 3 years. Yes we have won the title but that was mainly because of the ground work we laid in 2014 when we had our business done quickly and efficiently. I have a feeling she doesnt even listen to our scouts anymore or rather she uses outdated scouting reports. Look at some of the players we are linked with and sign these days, we were first linked to them around 2013 when our scouting system was still world class. If she wasnt a close ally of Roman I am pretty sure she would have been relived of her duties by now. Even our youth system and loan army has massively tailed off. Which players on loan right now realistically will become a KDB, Lukaku, Salah? Something is fundamentally broken at our club at the moment and I hope it is fixed sooner rather than later.

Its not about signings only. Spurs have set themselves up for the next 30 years. They have a new stadium built, they have a new training complex, they have a young squad that is all tied up with 5 year contracts, they have a young manager with potential. Everything about Spurs is attractive at the moment for investors and sponsors. Take your blue tinted glasses of for a second. We were light years ahead of Spurs only 5 years ago but at the moment who do you say has a brighter future??

Its annnoying how we do not have a plan for the transfer window every time. We seem to make things up as we go. We really do need a DoF and Roman and marina need to be less involved in football matters moving forward.

I think Abramovich should either sell the club or appoint people who are competent. What City are now is what we should have been years ago but due to his incompetence Man City, Liverpool and soon Spurs have overtaken us when we had a 10 year head start.

We have been here before. No need to get our hopes high, we get sucked into a rumor and get emotionally attached then Marina finds a way to f up the deal and we miss out on the target.

If we can not sign a top class replacement just keep him and scout a good keeper in the coming year. Besides Im pretty sure he will sign the contract once we start winning and playing good football under Sarri.
