last season was last season, Michu and Andy Johnson once looked great in the PL, he is a good young striker, whether he is good enough to become a truly top class striker, who knows but the jury is still out for me.

if he was good enough, no doubt Pardew would give him regular game time, Bamford is too limited to make it in the PL imo.

3 against the worst team in the league, Bournemouth, 1 against a manager-less Villa and 1 in the Europa League in his last 3 games, and then 1 today against a injury hit and fatigued Arsenal team, i am not convinced by him yet.

i dont think that was a dive there was a clear push in his back, when running at pace with the ball that push was enough to put him off balance. I just cant think of good chances that he has missed this season, also our 2 most creative players from last season (Hazard and Fabregas) have been poor this season, for me the service just hasnt been there for Costa.

cant agree with that, a striker is only as good as the players behind him, if you dont give your striker service he simply wont score many goals, its not like Costa has bad movement like Torres, Costa has very good movement, but just doesnt get the ball played through to him often enough, i would agree with you if Costa had missed a lot of good chances this season but i cant think of many chances this season that i can look back on and say 'Costa should have scored that' I can see the frustration some have with him this season, at times he does try to over do things and tries to take on a whole defense on his own and he does drift out wide a lot, but i feel he does these things as he is frustrated with the lack of service he gets, so he tries to do things on his own and he drifts out wide just to get involved in the game, because if he just stayed up front with our slow build up play he would barely get a touch of the ball

What a player!!! now if he can start getting more goals from open play and get more assists as well, then he could go on to become one of the very best in the PL

i agree that Costa did contribute and wasnt bad at all, his stats show that, it must be a nightmare to be a striker for Chelsea right now, i have no doubt if Costa played for Man City or for Bayern Munich or for an attacking in form Chelsea team like the 1st half of last season, he would score goals for fun.
