You don't miss a game,do you? Ashley Cole and JT were watching the game and I think Sturridge was also there.JT went to congratulate the boys after the game.
The million $ question is "Will the fact that we won the double stop any attempts for rebuilding our old squad?" I mean we all know that Deco and Belletti will leave this summer and are likely to take the likes of Hilario,Cole and Ferreira with them but our best players this season(bar Ivanovic ) were Drogba and Lampard, both 31. If we're lucky we'll get 2-3 years of high level football from them but we'll have to replace them someday, and IMHO replacing Lampard will be an impossible task.
I'm usually the most pessimistic person but even I can't see us not winning this one. Not at the Bridge. Not against Wigan. Not when we're 2 points away from glory. The ideal scenario would be us wining with something like 3-1 or 3-0 with Drogba getting the Golden Boot and us scoring 98 league goals.(100 would be great but unlikely) Our home form is 88% and Wigan won't get a single point on Sunday.
Most of us here are already sure about the league, I hope our players don't believe the same because we all know what could happen.Wigan somehow beat us in the 1st round so we'll have to stay focused.Until then
There are so many players who deserve credit for todays success. Kalou,Malouda,Lamps,Drogba,Anelka,Ivan,Alex all had great games. Ancelotti deserves credit for beating all the top4 in his 1st year. ..and of course STEVEN GERRARD!!
