I don’t know if I am right to be so worried, but the main thing that stops me from being all in on Osimhen is that he is African. Loosing both our strikers for a month and then having a month to come back to speed is scary. Depending on the year and their progression they can miss up to 8 games and countless training sessions.

I don’t think Toney is the right option for our squad atm, but the season before the ban he was one of the best players in the league. I don’t know what were his stats, but every game I watched him, he dominated the opposition defence.

How can we loan out more players. We should be able to loan only one more. We have 3-4 players rumoured to go out on loan. I don’t get it.

Osimhen wins us that game. Simple as that. Lavia, Fofana(considering when was his last game), Cucu were good. Palmer, Neto, Nkunku, Colwill, Gusto were ok. Sanchez, Enzo, Caicedo and Jackson below par. City were average, but the early 1-0 helped them tons. We need at least 3 in a row after this one, if we are going to be comfortable top 4 team…

At the moment we have more experienced players in our development squad than in the first team. LOL Moreira to Strasbourg now official. Permanent deal. 10-15 to go. 😄

I don’t get the hate of English journalists who overhype English players. In the past 20 years we have been very successful and have at least 20 legendary players from that period. Of them only Terry is from the academy. Of all the HG players we have sold none has become one of the best. The players who we regret selling in retrospect are Salah and KDB. Chalobah and Gallagher will never play for Real or Man city. If we aim for the top we should be ruthless. At the end of the day there are no guarantees of success, but keeping the academy lads can’t be the answer. I get they bleed for the badge, but so do I. It isn’t enough to play for London’s finest.

As per FIFA rules on loans we can have a maximum of 6 player out on loan during a season. Players who are HG AND u21 don't count. So currently we have Wiley, Santos, Slonina and Anselmino out. That leaves only two free spaces. We have to sell and other clubs know it, which will make it a bit harder to extract max price. As for the Osimhen deal we could have gotten him for 85-90 mil a month ago. That would have been extremely stupid. At the moment we can put pressure on both Victor and Napoli. Hope it all works out in the end. KTBFFH!

I think we will take Osimhen if a bargain presents itself and we will go with Jackson and the two new guys if it doesn’t. There is no pressure on the deal from our side atm and for once we are in a good position.

On top of all the positive signings we made the board are not too proud to try and correct a mistake. Koulibaly was out the door at the first opportunity. We bought a new Gk after it was obvious both Petro and Sanchez didn’t fit the style Enzo wants to implement. We hired Potter a bit naively and weren’t afraid to sack him early. Poch was not the answer and was promptly dismissed. Currently we have about 10-15 players who are or obviously will be world class. The team is young and needs our love and support, not whining and hate. I will be super angry and disappointed if we don’t get top 4, but I do believe we have more than enough in the squad to achieve it. KTBFFH! 🥶💙

If we manage to stay more or less injury free, Gallagher’s absence shouldn’t be felt that badly. It will be harder to take our 6 point off Palace, as he scores against them for fun. 😀 As for the price we are one of the 10 biggest/richest clubs in the world. Every one of these clubs buys players mostly on inflated prices and sells for cheap. Only way to get top money is a transfer between these clubs.

I really do believe we can be a solid top 4 squad. There isn’t the hype and anticipation of all the new shiny players we bought before the start of the season, but we are yet to see players we bought in 22 and 23. I know it is a big IF, but Nkunku, Lavia, Fofana, Reece can give so much. We used to say we need a season or two for gelling. Now, a year later half of the squad are branded as finished. I really don’t like that in modern football. Give the lads the confidence they need and let them flourish into champions. Hope Maresca is capable of doing it and I certainly believe we have the players to win us the league.

Manchester city who are the best in the league currently have a 26 man squad. That squad includes Cancelo, Phillips and 3-4 youngsters. Arsenal have a 24 man squad. Liverpool have 28 players and 5-6 of them are youngsters. We have 44 senior players and you lot are posting links with 4-5 new players!? I believe we must sign a striker and get rid of a lot of players, but that's it. Real Madrid have a 22 man squad. Bloated squads never work.

We have 44 first team players at the moment. Some of them are guaranteed to be sold or loaned, but we will need to asses what we have before we buy new player/s.

You can't just drop names of players who are unattainable. One may lament we missed out on Olise or Calafiori, but not these lot. Both of them play for one of the best teams in the world and in their home country. They are impossible not only for Chelsea, but for all the other big clubs. We need a number 9. Lets show ambition and get Haaland. How? Its not about the state or ambitions of the club. There are transfers that could and that could not happen.

You know what, I am happy with our squad. I hope Maresca manages to keep the team spirit and we avoid the crazy amount of injuries from last season. There is a good vibe around the first team and that is essential. We must add a number 9. Nico is ok, but we can’t leave him alone. Lukaku, Broja and Fofana are as good as gone. I am not sure if I prefer Osimhen or Duran, but we need two senior strikers minimum. The absolute necessity of a new GK is speculative. We don’t have a keeper to win the league with, but I don’t see us winning it this season. In a good tactical setup both our keepers can get us top 4.

In all pictures released from training everyone is in training kit except Chilly. Have I missed something or is this quite strange?
