I can see more and more hate towards Badi and Disasi. I am strongly against it. Disasi is half decent CB. A bit slow on the turn, but massive. He is not a great passer, but he is ok/average. Playing RB is nonsense for me, as he is not fast enough and understandably not good at attacking spaces. Combine that with playing behind Kienan at rw and you get the most logical outcome. Badi had another good game. His passing was great. The one that led to a goal was on Veiga. Yes, Badi put him under pressure, but that is the idea of playing out from the back. Veiga was by far our worst player yesterday and was again out of position so you cant go too hard on him. We created enough chances to score at least a goal. Nkunku and Felix flopped as the experienced strikers in that team. Mudryk I think was great and the biggest positive in this game. With Palmer staying as an unused sub you are sending a signal to the team and the fanbase that we prefer to have 2-3 less games in December-January than to win this cup. COYB!

Why is he on the bench then?
-
Pretty annoyed with Maresca too. Done well to put a rw on, but no chance for Cairney. He gan do things in tight spaces…
-
We can’t break them with this inexperienced team. They are quite tough especially at home. All the half chances we got, we missed. Not good enough in both boxes. We need to break the old Trafford winless run.

I like what I am seeing overall, if you take into account all the caveats. Jorgensen looks clueless. Badi, Tosin and Disasi are too clunky for the same lineup. I think we should sell one or two of them, but don’t think that any of them is beyond saving individually. Veiga is not good enough in midfield. He lacks experience and it shows, especially in the defensive part. Hall is lost on the wing and with Disasi at rb we are really handicapped. On the other hand Muddy has been great. When and if Palmer comes in will give us the answer how much Maresca wants this one.
-
Felix was a surprising buy as was Kellyman, but both were ffp tricks. This Jorgensen guy looks clueless every time I watch him. I don’t get our gk strategy.
-
Ok. That was really bad…
-
We are half decent, but you can not give presents like that…
-
I guess we will have to start Sancho on the right, as he cant play against Man Utd on Sunday and Mudryk deserves a go on the left. I will go with: Jorgensen, Veiga, Badi, Tosin, Gusto, Enzo, Hall, Felix, Mudryk, Sancho and Nkunku. Hoping for a scrappy 0-2/1-3 win. It wont be an easy game up there for sure.

Newcastle have a bunch of experienced and quite nasty players. Very happy we managed to hang on with all the calls going in their direction. Reece James took on well the words of Maresca about being a leader. Was magnificent and probably my motm. I would love it to beat them at St James on Wednesday, but wont be too mad if we don't. We must take 3 points from Man Utd. It will be super hard as we don't win there and love to help a team in crisis. COYB!

Misha is having a game. Hope he can transfer this form into the league.
-
And only one English in ours LOL
-
As it usually happens with hyped up games it was a dreadful one. Both teams cancelled each other out for most of the time. Jones probably got the motm, but Salah won them the game. We put Gusto who is faster and than Veiga who is a lot stronger than him, but he more often than not found a way trough. In Salah and Van Dijk they have 2 players who are the best in their position in the world. That showed today, as Palmer was reminded he is not ready to dominate every single game. We now need points in the next 3 games to keep up the confidence and momentum for top four. With all the hype around us and the ridicule around United they are 3 points behind us. We need to be better at home and at controlling games. All that said a lot of positive signs are still there. COYB!

We are on our longest winless run against Liverpool since the 80s. Admittedly there are a lot of draws and narrow cup losses, but its still 9 games. Last time we won there was our last win altogether, the 1-0 Mount win. Hopeful of a heroic performance on Sunday. They have a habit of producing bad performances right after international breaks.
-
I would go with Fofana at RB and Tosin next to Colwill. They closed the Bournemouth game pretty well. On paper every solution is better than Disasi playing RB after the awful game he had there.
-
Fofana, Lavia and Palmer out of ECL squad. Casadei and Chukwuemeka in. Interesting!
-
We somehow won the CL in 2021, but this is our best team to watch since prime Hazard days. We lack experience and control in games. Most of our players can learn it. We have good and exciting squad. What is the matter with you? What is all that negativity? KTBFFH!
-
At least Osimhen will play for the same club his idol used to. Just not the one people thought. 😀
-
If we count players who have started less than 10 games last season and all the new signings this season we will have: Jorgensen Veiga - Fofana - Tosin - James?(If he manages to start 10 games this season...) Dewsbury Hall - Lavia Neto - Felix - Sancho - Nkunku - Guiu And we have lost: Petrovic Silva - Chalobah - Chilwell? Gallagher Sterling - Broja As a whole I think we have upgraded the squad massively. There are a lot of injury prone players we have to protect. Our GK situation is a bit mental in having 8 players and not one WC option. Otherwise I like the squad and believe we have more than enough for top 4. Up the Chels!
-
Can’t wait for today to be over. Finally we will know our squad and can focus on our football.
-
We are not playing great, but you have to take into account that bloody awful pitch.
-
Enzo and hall midfield is too weak. Even against lower opposition. Hope Lavia and Caicedo are healthy for the majority of games.
-
Or pick up Haaland from the Championship 😄
-
Lukaku is off the current players page on the official website. We have less than 60hours to get rid of: - Petrovic - 0 links - Chalobah - Palace? - Chilwell - United? - Sterling - no idea - Angelo Gabriel - 0 links - Broja - what happened here? - David Fofana - 0 links I am not including youngsters and Cairney as they can easily be loans outside of the quota. Not so fussed about incomings now. A striker will come I believe. Who? I have no idea 😄 Lets hope it works out.

I get what you are saying, but on paper Haaland was awful fit for city. A prolific goal scorer can fit any team. If Osi eventually comes we will se if he is one.
