In order for Salah to perform well, he needs: 1. Confidence: he gained that with fiorentina as he is not under pressure to compete for a spot in the starting team 2. Space: Salah always performs well when there is space available. Playing just in the right wing gives him little space to show his talent and what he is capable of. With Fiorentina and egyptian national team, Salah is given the chance to play as a striker alongside another striker. This gives him lots of space to run around and show his speed and he can be deadly when he is given that space. His finishing is not the best out there but his pace allows him to have one on one chances against the opposing goalkeepers and he can easily finish in those cases. 3. Trust from other players in his team as well as their understanding of his style of play.
