Yes, but in general terms Simeone usually has an "old guard" of veteran players, but obviously he bet on young players like Jimenez if they perform well. It's just a way of saying that Simeone and Jose have similar characteristics at the time of manage their squad. I mean that both have a similar "philosophy". For example, Mourinho with Materazzi or Casillas also he sent them to the bench without looking if they were or not players from the "old school". Mourinho and Simeone believe in "meritocracy", but always supported by the "old school", as Jose did at Inter Milan or with us last season betting heavily on JT when Benitez had said that he could not play every weekend. Godin or Gabi are untouchable in Atletico de Madrid, even being in a bad physical moment because his seniority is important for Simeone. IMO Simeone and Mourinho are very similar.
-
Yes. But it is also true that Simone bet on young players because Atletico de Madrid is a team with less economic power than Chelsea and they need to create young players and then selling them to other teams. in Chelsea IMO Simeone would be a different manager, very similar to Jose. But Simeone is always surrounded by an "old school" of veteran players (like Godin, Miranda, Juanfran, Tiago, Gabi ...) which are totally untouchable for him.
-
But Simeone is also a manager which bet very strong in the "old school" in his starting eleven. Simeone is like Jose. If he came to Chelsea I am sure he will continue to use players like Iva, JT or Fabregas. Mourinho and Simeone have the same characteristics. The only difference between them is that Jose is important for us and Simeone is important for Atletico Madrid. But both love the "Old School".
-
If (for some people) Jose is boring, Simeone is super boring. Believe me, Atletico de Madrid is my team in Spain and Simeone is an extra defensive manager. Perfect for a small team like Atletico de Madrid (small if is compared with Real Madrid or Barcelona), but IMO Simeone would not make us better.
-
An injury strategically perfect... I wish him the best in the personal side, but right now for us his injury is key to change our defense. Azpi - Zouma - Cahill - Baba (with Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield)
-
Hi friend! Agree. IMO Ruben Loftus-Cheek has to have continuity in our starting eleven to have a real performance. Not just a game with new faces and after that game use the same "old school" forever. Jose has to forget about the "old school". Win Premier League this season is impossible. Now we have to use our young players (or other players with ambition) in Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup (Champions League is another story) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek has to be the main star of our new project for this season. Our next games before the break for the national matches are Aston Villa, Dinamo Kiev, West Ham, Stones City (League Cup), Liverpool, Dinamo Kiev and Stoke City, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek must begin in all those games to see if he is ready or not to be important for us. That's the only way.
-
Mourinho promises Loftus-Cheek he will start Chelsea's next match as Chelsea boss turns to youth amid crisis period. Ruben Loftus-Cheek to get extended run of games for Chelsea as Jose Mourinho looks to England Under 21 midfielder in bid to turn his side's fortunes around. Ruben Loftus-Cheek will start in Chelsea's next game against Aston Villa. Midfielder is with England Under 21 ahead of their clash with Kazakhstan. Jose Mourinho has told the 19-year-old to be prepared to start on Oct 17. Manager said a young player may feel less pressure than senior ones. Chelsea are 16th in the Premier League with just two wins this season. LINK. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3260308/Ruben-Loftus-Cheek-extended-run-games-Chelsea-Jose-Mourinho-looks-youth-bid-cure-s-blues.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This would be the greatest news of the season. If Ruben Loftus-Cheek plays in our starting eleven the next 7 matches (until the next break for the national matches) he will be totally indisputable for us. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a chosen capable of leading our midfield as our main midfielder. Jose would be very smart if he decides to bet everything on Ruben Loftus-Cheek from the next game. A decision that can change our season because RLC is our future. Regards.
-
Hi friend! His best position is midfielder, but he will have very difficult to appear in our starting eleven as a midfielder. Perhaps his best position thinking about the future is left-back. That's why I think he must continue playing as left-back because Aké may appear on our starting eleven in that position, even with options to be our first choice from the next season. Something that would be difficult in the midfield. Although initially Aké had problems adapting to left-back position, now it seems that he is adapting perfectly to this new role. If he does a good season as left-back with Watford I am sure he will have many options to return with us. I follow him for a long time and Aké is one of the younger players that have impressed me most of all our academy. His leadership is incredible and his tactical sense is spectacular.
-
Hi friend! Yeah, I have the same feeling. But, as I said in the previous post, if Aké is one of the biggest surprises of the season in Premier League and all England talks about him as one of the revelations of the season I think no one can stop him, not even Jose, because the pressure will be very enormous because increasingly many of us are asking to give more opportunities to our young players and Aké is one of our best among our young players. That is the hope that I have. But the truth is that in a real world (or at least in a normal world) Nathan Aké and Ruben Loftus-Cheek should be playing in our starting eleven this season.
-
Hi friend! I dont know. Last week Ake said in an interview that he is in constant contact with Jose to manage his return for next the season. I think Ake is a different case. He'll be playing regularly in the Premier League all the season with Watford and he could become one of the big surprises among young players in Premier League. We have to wait until the end of the season and, if he has a good performance, no one (including Jose) will be able to stop him. I know that Bertrand is a special memory for us, but Nathan Ake is one of those players with a special aura, like Ruben Loftus-Cheek. To me, along with Solanke, they are the most promising players among our young players. Nathan Ake plays with a maturity very hard to see in a player with his age and having a great tactical sense, in addition to leadership. For me he is one of the specials and I hope he can come back with us.
-
Ake IMO is the player on loan which is more likely to come back with us for next the season. In fact, Ake could be playing in our starting eleven right now watching how Ivanovic is playing. At the beginning of the season Ake was on the bench. But gradually Quique Sanchez Flores is givin to him more minutes on the pitch and he has played the all 90 minutes for the first time this weekend and he is having a good performance as left-back, adapting well to his new role. To me Aké will return next season with us after playing more than 25/30 games with Watford between Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup, and having fully completed his professional development. This guy is pure gold.

Hi friend! Yeah, maybe sign a left-back could also be a good solution. I speak about a right-back like Fabinho because he can play Champions League this season with us and he is a player with many possibilities for progress in the future. But if there is a good chance on the market for left-back position could also be a good chance because Azpilicueta is a wildcard and he can perform well on both sides. And Ruben Neves surprised me the other day against us, but maybe he's too young right now and Porto is a team that always sells their players for a very expensive price. Bernardo Silva IMO could also be another interesting option. Also Portuguese like Neves, and also very young, but maybe they are both very young. If we had to make a big investment I would sign Koke or Thiago Alcantara in the summer. Gundogan right now I think he would be the best option. And maybe Ross Barkley, but I doubt that Everton might accept a hypothetical offer from us. About N.9 also players like Icardi or Higuain are TOP PLAYERS and they could play with us in the Champions League this season. Aboubakar is also a TOP FORWARD but he can not play Champions League. Although he is one of the best options for the future. Regards.

IMO The situation is completely hopeless / paranoid. Sometimes it seems that we are cursed this season. This is a very frustrating situation, I am really sad because it seems completely impossible to reverse our season. I understand those people who think that Jose is the only culprit of our situation, but IMO Jose is part of our problem, and not the only culprit. Jose is guilty in the same proportion as when he was guilty of our successes last season. But our problem is deeper. All our planning has been a big mistake since May: 1. A wrong and few signings during the summerr market. 2. Wrong sales (Filipe Luis must be playing in our starting eleven). 3. No major signing to encourage competition in our squad. As a result of this erroneous planning we have right now a team without any kind of motivation / ambition, with accommodated players and a manager who is not being able to redirect our situation, a situation where players and manager seem totally desperate and unable to solve our problems. Right now nothing or anyone can improve this team because it is a matter of mental block, of mentality. It is a matter of a winning team totally collapsed because they do not know how to live in a scenario that no one expected. Even Guardiola, or Messi, or Joachim Löw, or even the best Diego Armando Maradona would fail with us right now because our players and manager are mentally collapsed. And unclog this collapse is going to be very complicated. Also does not help us when some fans (to whom I respect their opinion, obviously) are always criticizing any noise around our team and make criticisms against Jose when he has been very important to us. For example, to me what happened with Eva Carneiro is ridiculous. The press has seen something where they could hurt us and they have exploited it to the fullest. Please, we can not be arguing all day between us just because a doctor. That is like shoot bullets against our own team. It is a trap, a trap that has created a situation of permanent noise with paranoid attitudes debating if Eva Carneiro is a key part of our project or not. Sometimes it seems that some fans are looking to find our mistakes than be enjoying our successes. Obviously our situation is not caused by our fans, but we might not be so pessimistic / criticism about our team, on each defeat, on each draw, because sometimes it seems that every time when we do not win a match that means like the end of the world. Less pessimism would be better for us. And now it is when we have to support our team, is when we can help our team, not writing every five minutes #mourinhosacked on Twitter to cause a global trending topic against us. About Jose: IMO he is completely out of himself right now. Jose is unmotivated, without his winning eyes and he looks depressed on the bench. The phrase "park the bus" has affected him and he is totally obsessed with making conservative approaches to "annoy" the people who say that. But Jose is forgetting football to focus on "the discussion of the bus" and that's hurting us. Jose should forget quickly the absurd debate of the "manager of the boring bus" and he has to do again competitive approaches as he knows how to do perfectly. I trust Jose, and I think he should stay with us because he is a manager made for us: he knows the team, he knows the fans, he respects Chelsea and one thing that is important, Jose loves our team, even feeling totally involved with us, something that is very hard to find in modern football. Maybe another coach can come, perhaps someone better (I think that's difficult), but not someone who loves us more than how Jose loves us. Find a new manager now would not be a solution. It would be start all over again and start a new project in midseason (which usually fails). What should Jose change to reverse our situation ?. 1. Reorganize his mind: forget the "debate of the bus" and do offensive approaches like he did at the beginning of last season. But smart offensive approaches, without being naive in defense. 2. Forget the old school: Ivanovic can not continue being our right-back anymore. Nor Mikel, John Terry (Captain, Leader, Legend -his case is different-), or Fabregas .... 3. Put the batteries and motivate Eden Hazard. Come on! This guy should be leading our team and he's gone. Hazard must change his behavior because he is failing this season. 4. Forget to win Premier League (it's impossible) and fully focus on winning Champions League, FA Cup and / or League Cup (besides trying to be in the top 4 in the table). And gradually create a new team with young players and players with ambition. 5. Sign players in the January transfer market: our policy of signings in the summer market has been incomprehensible, and now we have three months to think in which players we can sign in January to improve our performance. Players like (not mean that we have to sign all but IMO would be a good roadmap). (All of them are players who can play Champions League with us this season) 1. Centre-Back. A. John Stones. Would be the perfect choice. B. Laporte. Stones like, but Stones is better acclimated to Premier League rhythm. 2. Right-Back. A. Fabinho (Monaco). He is the the natural heir of Maicon in Brazil. Also Barcelona, Manchester City, United, PSG and Arsenal have been linked with Fabinho. For me he is the best option in the market (Coleman is impossible). 3. Midfielder (Mikel out). A. William Carvalho. For me he is the best option: a beast in midfield able to distribute the ball from behind, being a wall on defense, and able to play in Matic's role or close to him. 4. A creative midfielder (or perhaps two watching Fabregas performance). A. Gundogan. For me he is the best option in the market. Maybe he is not as in 2013, but Gundogan is playing again with Borrussia and playing almost every minute. Our technical team should Watch him closely in these three months. If Gundogan is fully recovered, he is our best option to give some sense to our midfield. We need someone like him. B. Bernardo Silva (Monaco). 5. A forward?. Perhaps the most difficult decision. If Diego could get totally focused on football and he could forget about the "absurd fights," he would be the best striker in the world. But Diego is forgetting football and Jose should redirect his behavior. Remy always has good performance but he did not just to step forward in goals stats. Falcao is an inexplicable mystery for the humanity. How can a knee injury emaciate a player this way ?. Possible targets ?, I do not know ... but maybe sign a player who can play as N.9 and also as a winger it would be good option for us. But the most important thing is to restore a situation without anxiety and paroxysm. Worse than we are now It's impossible to be. We are a winning team and we have to recover that mentality playing match by match. The following 7 games are more or less easy for us before the next break for the national teams. If we have good results, the scenario will be completely different. So now we have to be together, trust Jose, trust our players and let them work. Obviously I understand people who are angry with our situation (I am too) but we can not shoot against ourselves. And also we have to revolutionize our starting eleven, being Ruben Loftus-Cheek our main midfielder leading our ball circulation from behind. With Azpilicueta - Zouma - Cahill - Baba in defense, with Matic - RLC - Oscar - Willian in the midfield, and Hazard and Diego Costa in attack. And Jose must stop being stubborn and soften the approaches to be more offensive as he can do because Jose Mourinho is not just "the coach of the bus" Jose is able to make us play as a complete team, a total football, completely spectacular because he already did in the past (the last season for example) Without the pressure of having to win every weekend Premier League as when you have to fight for the trophy, now we have the opportunity to bet on the younger players and those players who really show the necessary ambition to return us to the path of winning trophies again. Sorry for the long text, and sorry for my English. GO BLUES! Regards to ALL.

Agree with you. IMO John Stones is the best replacement for John Terry (c) both for the present and for the future. A TOP English player with personality to take a leadership role in a big team. The best solution would be to go for Stones again in January exerting pressure from now. Until January I think John Terry will continue playing some games because we need someone with experience and leadership on the pitch. But it seems that now Jose trusted more on Cahill than JT. With Zouma being the undisputed. When John Terry leaves Chelsea for us will be very difficult to find a substitute with a similar leadership. About the armband I think Courtois is the favorite, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek would be a better choice because he is a "field player", not a goalkeeper who can not go to exert pressure against the referees during the matches. I prefer a midfielder as captain for the future than a goalkeeper. With Solanke I think the natural evolution for him would spend a year or two in Vittesse and come back with us. But Solanke is one of our most realistic promises. Also Nathan Ake. He's playing a few minutes with Watford, just 26 minutes, but he seems fully adapted to the left-back position. The other day Ake said in an interview that he was in touch with Jose and that the idea of the club for him is to spending a year on loan and then come back with us. To me Courtois - Zouma - Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Solanke can be a good backbone for us for the future. With Ake, Stones (he wants to join us) and Kenedy fighting for a place. But Jose must change his mind to accomplish this.

Replacing Frank Lampard will be very complicated: quality, leadership, last pass, long distance shots, constant dynamism in midfield and ability to distribute the ball. For me Fabregas is failing with us and he will not be able to be a substitute for Lampard. Maybe we could solve this problem in January trying to sign Ross Barkley as a replacement for Lampard because Fabregas is being a disappointment (except for his first 4 months last season). If I could I would pay a lot of money to sign Barkley. Maybe Barkley could take Frank Lampard's role. Our season is being a nightmare, something crazy that is difficult to solve. I think it's time to make a big revolution and take advantage of our young players or those who are having fewer minutes. Or we react fast or the season will be very long. About N.9 position I think it's a difficult situation. With Diego sanctioned, it would be normal go for Remy, but Falcao can not to have forgotten about how to play football. But the most important thing on Saturday is to start a revolution to change this situation. And Ruben Loftus-Cheek has to be our starting point. IMO our revolution must start with Ruben Loftus-Cheek as our main midfielder. RLC is not a child, he is a player who has shown to be prepared to lead our midfield. For me he is an improved version of Paul Pogba but RLC need minutes on the pitch to prove it. Our big problem is the movement of the ball in the attacking zone and our ability to get the ball from behind: Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the player to start our revolution and solve our problems. RLC can give a breath of fresh air for our midfield and reset our mind. Another player who is always undervalued is Willian, which I can not understand. IMO he must be important now because William is the only player capable of assuming the leadership of play in N.10's role. He has the creativity of the Brazilian players and the tactical discipline of European football. About our defense I think Ivanovic can't play again as Right-Back. His time has expired and we have to refresh our defense. IMO Azpi - Zouma - Cahill - Baba is our best solution. It's time to change . Oscar has to take a step forward to begin to be important to us and go home. We need someone creative and he's a creative player. Oscar can not continue hiding on the pitch and has to prove that he is able to play with us. Kenedy, at least, wants to conquer the world. IMO he should play on Saturday as right-winger rotating their position with Willian and Hazard. Our players need to wake up. Jose approaches are not the best, but our players have to change their behavior or it will be impossible. Begovic Zouma Cahill Azpi Baba RLC Matic Willian Kenedy Hazard Remy But the most important thing on Saturday is to start a revolution to change this situation. And Ruben Loftus-Cheek must be our starting point.
-
I can understand all the criticism against Jose (I will not defend him today) but I think the behavior of some of our players is totally embarrassing, pathetic and unprofessional. Some of them seem to want to throw out Jose to put another manager. And that behavior is being repeated from the beginning of the season. Maybe Jose will not be on our bench on Saturday, but another manager will not change our situation if the players do not change their attitude. It's disgusting. Some players has been walking the full 90 minutes, Willian is the only exception. We need a player with leadership (John Terry (c) ), a real midfield (Ruben Loftus-Cheek), remove Ivanovic, and go for creative players. But mainly our players must want to win again and be professionals. IMO fire Jose is not the solution, Jose is part of the problem but he is not the only guilty. The players must to wake up.
-
Come on! Porto is playing in our box...!
-
This season is cursed.........
-
IMO the result was fake before our goal. We are not doing the best football in the world, but we are playing well, with a huge Diego Costa and perfect in counterattacks. Willian is very undervalued, but he is a top player. I would love a quick goal for us to play with more calm. We are going in the right direction.
-
There are several young English players who can become interesting for our future. Mainly Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who can become one of the best midfielders in the world. But also players like John Stones, Ross Barkley and Harry Kane could become possible signings for us to increase the number of English players in our squad. I'm not talking about patriotism, but IMO have English players would be important for us because they know Premier League's culture and to have the support of the whole country (FA, referees, rival fans) is better have England players to have some favoritism. For example, in Spain has happened something similar. When Barcelona played with Puyol, Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Villa, Pedro .... in all stadiums in Spain the rival supporters supported Barcelona for having so many national players. In addition we have Solanke or Bamford. Maybe in two or three years we could end up having 3 or 4 players born in England in our starting eleven. It would be an interesting option.
-
To me Loftus-Cheek must to start against Porto because he is the only player who can bring something new to our squad now (also Ramires and Willian, but in a different way). Our big problem is that we are too predictable. Our midfield has no creativity and in this way is impossible to beat our rivals. Loftus-Cheek would bring us that unpredictability in midfield, able to get the ball from the back to the opponent's area. To me it does not matter the excuse of the youth because RLC is fully prepared to lead our midfield. Jose should take a step forward and definitely bet on him. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is THE ANSWER
-
The first half was totally horrible, and both goals have been because of our mistakes, especially Fabregas, Zouma and Iva. But, at least, in the second half we have had a change of attitude and we've been very close to winning the game. But we have to change our defense and play since now with Ruben Loftus-Cheek because he is the only one player who can change the pace of our midfield right now. It's now or never, and there is no excuse for not play with RLC. And Willian has to have more minutes, maybe instead of Pedro or as N. 10, but he must play. In addition, realistically, we have to bet everything to try to win Champions League, League Cup and FA CUP... This year will be very complicated. Or we change many things or the season will be very long.
