The reality is that this is Chelsea FC and to say that it did not exist before Jose is crazy - we used to have Dennis Wise (who was a good holding midfield player simply because he hurt people), Ron Harris, and our fans who probably had one of the most angry firms in London in the 80s. It's in the blue blood. Literally, KdB left us nearly 2 years ago... And firstly, if we're in the business of 'what ifs' the fact is that he would be rotting on the bench anyway, as Mata would be in his place, Hazard would be on the left and Luiz would be in CM along side Mikel as we never brought Matic, and Hazard would not have developed as well with KdB in the team - and the fact is that he is a much more versatile player, EH10 can attack and ruin the opposition (with the exception of his crisis of confidence), he can defend and hold down a game, he is a complete winger. I would not have it any other way. By the way this isn't really aimed at you specifically but for nearly everybody in this thread.

Good!! Him and Zouma are a very well matched CB pairing. Zouma, pacey, hearty, fantastic in the tackle but hamstrung by his poor ball skills, and Christensen is basically Stones II. All it needs is either one to develop their leadership qualities and I'd say it's a future first choice set. But that is a crucial area - otherwise you get a Jones-Smalling like situation (just on a level up quality wise)

I didn't think Baba was very good in the second half, to be honest. He was better, but still does not look Chelsea quality imo - I honestly hope he proves me wrong. I would like Oscar to start over Cesc, obviously. But I can see why Jose continues to start Cesc: We lose creativity almost completely with Matic-Ramires-Oscar. Personally I didn't think Cesc was bad against Aston Villa. Still not good enough, but he was not a liability. I can't help it. Jose is a man of the club. Loves the club. I honestly think he will pull us out of this mess, this season has been an exception to an otherwise spotless record (and no, Real Madrid 2012-13 was different; the players rebelled against him but the players are 100% behind him at CFC). I can understand people that want him out but I hope you understand why people want him to stay. However if we get knocked out of the Champions League his fate is sealed. I believe it also got RDM fired, after it became clear we would not qualify.

I want us to thrash them just to see who changes their spots again.
