  1. Tbh, we looked far shakier than City and that goal was coming.
  2. Just at the right time. We started looking shaky.
  3. We could have, but jose's tactics were too negative. We can't be that negative at home, and City are without Yaya.
  4. We're playing at home. Of course we're keeping possession better.
  5. It's not our best lineup but City are weakened too. Without Yaya their midfield is very average.
  6. Our bench looks like it belongs to a mid-table team( or worse). Let's hope we won't need it.
  7. Maybe they're waiting for the euro to drop even more.
  8. He's stronger than Di Maria for sure. Sanchez gets eased off the ball regardless of his body type.
  9. One thing is for sure: if he comes, Hazard won't be the only one who gets kicked a lot. I like him. Sign him up.
  10. It's hard to judge him as a winger when he plays basically a free-roaming second striker like today. When he plays so high up the pitch, he doesn't track back much and doesn't participate in the build up. Though it's still pretty obvious he's not like Willian. He makes many runs and draws fouls. And yeah, he's fast.
  11. It looks like Chelsea at least contacted Shakhtar and really inquired about Costa, but nothing concrete yet. Shachtar's CEO was vague. "I don't want to go into details, much less to talk about money. We're negotiating. If the negotiations are successful, then we'll announce it. It's too early and incorrect to talk about money at this point." He doesn't sound like a man who's certain of the deal going through.
  12. Roman might have more important things to worry about with all the shit going on in Russia.
  13. Yeah, goals were defensive errors than anything else, but I think Mourinho chose a wrong team too. I was pretty surprised by the amount of changes from our normal XI he made. The team he started had no proper dribbler who could take on the opponents, no good passer who could properly distribute the ball and keep possession, instead we had Ramires, Salah and Drogba who kept giving the ball away+two inexperienced young defenders+error-prone Cahill at the back. To add insult to injury, when Mikel had to be taken off, we were left without a proper DM (neither Ramires nor Fabregas is a DM). To add another insult to injury, Drogba was shit but wasn't subbed off, and apparently even Azpi and Willian weren't good defensively yesterday. So yes, our loss was pretty predictable because of the wrong selection of players by Jose--choosing players that haven't played much together + individual mistakes by our defence. It was a day when everything that could go wrong went wrong. Players aren't blameless but neither is Jose, IMO.
  14. Milan are actually a good team for him to develop. Milan's midfielders are very poor and if MvG is better than average, he'll be played because Milan and Pippo need the results on the pitch. Inzaghi started him against pretty good teams like Lazio and Udinese. If he wasn't so injury-prone, MvG would have gotten plenty of playing time at Milan. Regardless of Milan's current results, it's a club with a great history, so getting some playing time there will show how good MvG is at dealing with pressure. He just needs to do better and impress. So far, he hasn't impressed me at Milan. He's not Chelsea material (at least not yet). I want an upgrade on Mikel and Ramires, but at least right now MvG isn't the answer.
  15. I'd like to agree, but I've seen no evidence that MvG is ready to be promoted. He's 22 already--just a year younger than Oscar--and still barely has any experience and doesn't seem to have much confidence. I don't see MvG having any future at Chelsea unless he steps up and has a very good season at Milan. This is his chance. I hope he grabs it.
