Ohh didier!
-
On form willian is our number one right attacker
-
Good to see drogba covering for hazard as he pushes forward and central to press
-
Costa warming up
-
Good play willian
-
Actually I think we are playing a 4-2-3-1. With and without the ball cesc is higher than everyone except drogba almost like a 4-4-1-1.
-
We've been too easy to get at through the middle. Attacking wise absolutely no problems. What is up with Matic? Didn't want to jump on the train with everyone else but I have to admit now he seems lacklustre
-
But Oscar's best position is an inverted winger. One of his best games was in that position, away against west ham. Him and hazard with the two behind the striker and could go wide or centrL as they pleased with. Midfield behind him. D like to see William played in that formation rather as a wide winger who is there to track back and lick down a flank
-
Great pundits and good analysis. Fabregas cannot play in the pivot. He is best suited to a 4-3-3 in this team. So Much more balance and with a 3 man midfield and brings the best out of matic cesc AND Ramires. I predict that 4-2-3-1 will become and secondary line up for us by halfway through the season
-
Very good squad option. Willian is ahead of both him and schurlle because of his variety but as an out and out winger Salah can be as good as all of our AM's on his day except hazard.
-
Commentary anyone? With matic and fabregas we need the ball, or at least have Oscar drop deep so we are more stable without it
-
That's my thinking. It was all down to Sir Alex that he left. Wasn't offered enough money, respect or confidence to be a first team squad player. I think a massive fee, big salary and a talk from LVG about how important he will be could turn it around. Never say never in football

Hope so! Is it greedy of more to want one more WC player in the first team? We have improved on last year but I think we have potential to be real juggernauts and go to places like Madrid and win, but win well. Just like in 2004-2006 when I thought we could beat anyone but importantly best them convincingly
-
Bbc gossip that MU will spend £60m on him next summer. That will be a team then. Hopefully they will calm down!
-
I'm kind of worried that he seems to be more proactive, even when it would be better to actually take a page out of Mikels book now and then and drop deeper, but I guess that's his style
-
I'd say he reminds me of a more balanced KDB, that is better defensively. Though I haven't seen enough
-
As well ask work rate, so far this season he had improved his positioning too. Allowing him to drop deep for both Matic and Fabregas
-
But it wasn't our pressing that was the problem, it was the lack of defensive discipline. He would have been better than Ramires because he holds his position better when the team aren't pressing and trying to control space. Ramires' poor positioning (as well as Matic's) caused the first two goals. Ramires was in Man's land and Matic was trying to press at the wrong times. We don't have to have the lion's share if the possession, but just like last year against Everton when they have the ball we need to be disciplined and control the space which we sucked at Saturday
-
but did want a game like Everton? Our midfield was overrun, the one thing you could traditionally count on not happening in the last 10 years. The way I see it, with Ramires we have done who literally can jog last someone. Perfect for an open game. Tactically one if the worst in our squad. Cannot put his foot on the ball and slow down when needed. We saw both sided if Ramires. With Oscar you have more control and solidity. Plus, is willian not as good as Ramires in such games? He couldn't be because the headless chicken literally thought he was Rambo
-
I think for us to become more balanced as a team he needs Oscar by him. Way to slow against Everton, he just can't press like he used to. Ramires seemed like a headless chicken so Osvar is probably the best for balance
-
Hazard because he is the most complete in terns of offering both attacking and defensive qualities. Can play in more positions. Depending in how he does, Atsu may do so first. Regardless, do people really think that IF ( big IF) mourinho wanted Reus he wouldn't because we already have enough senior players who wouldn't be happier as back ups? Hello!!!! Petr Cech anybody? If it improves us, and he would, we will do it. Why buy modric at Madrid when Alonso and Khedira were playing so good together? He took then up a notch.
-
But people aren't over the moon with our AMs? Willian frustrated people with his lack of attacking threat. The cameo against Leicester was all well and good but he did squat in the final third against Everton. He completed ONE take on a a cross which didn't pick anyone out. This in the most open game I've seen in a while with 8 goals. Schurrle and willian are good players, but it's telling that none of them have held down a starting place, Oscar as well, though he may do through midfield control rather than being a good AM. We can upgrade, if we are to buy another then Salah is the obvious choice. Of course we won't buy without selling.
-
If he is used more as a midfielder as an attacker - yes. His work rate and stamina compliment his good technique. If he is directed could be a great 8 or box to box midfielder
-
I agree, but I think the main difference is ours is potential, due to a need for the team to click more and still find it's balance. City already has it.
