I'll give props to Morata. Honestly expected him to get bullied!
-
Need someone who can shoot outside the box. Fabregas and Bakayoko cant hit a barn door with a banjo. Pedro seems the obvious choice but Willian does better wheb he drops deeper I feel.
-
Hopefully Bakayoko doesnt get a yellow card. I hope Conte hammers it into him to watch out especially for "I've been shot" Herrera. I wonder who will come on second half, Drinkwater or Willian/Pedro
-
Zappacosta is better than running with the ball in my opinion (never thought I'd say that) but he's even worse than moses at refusing to look up (never thought I'd say that either!)
-
Add Bakayoko

Positional awareness is severely lacking. Having kante press like a hound, im not sure you want Baka as his partner suring up after. Someone said he has the same confidence on the ball as Cahill. I see that alright. I just keep thinking, ARE YOU FUCKING DAY DREAMING OR SOMETHING? midfield is the least forgiving position for that. It's like he could be sitting watching the lottery draw with his ticket in his hand. First ball comes up, he checks his ticket, he has that number. Second ball, quick check . . . Yep! On his ticket. Rinse and repeat for all numbers and . . . . . . It would still take him 60 seconds to realise he's won

Well we beat Tottenham already. Weren't second best either.

Away last season wasn't nearly as one sided as people make out. Apart from a dodgy Cahill own goal they had no clear chances. It was 2 or 3 good chances which happened quickly after another that they killed the game. Buts that football. That happens sometimes. No shame against a city side away. The first half was tight, the second we killed them on the counter bar the first 15 minutes.

I suppose 4 players not knowing the offside rule, cbs and cms standing around inviting pressure and WB's booting the ball in the air to Hazard skips blame. Must be Conte!

Long post coming. I really enjoy how silent Conte's thread was with the performance at Atletico, yet a bad game against Man City and suddenly it's the fault of the coach, he shouldn't be here much longer, blah blah blah, all that horeshit. First, if you hide away when examples contradict your view (like midweek) and only show up to voice how bad he's doing, thats a sign of someone who has already decided their view. Ignore the other side of the coin, im already sure when I stand. Secondly, his choice for this game have been spot on. He's been correct. Azpi and Rudiger on Sane and a midfield 3 to clog the middle. Yes, you will have less of the ball. But this is MAN CITY, understand the strengths and weaknesses of this squad for fucl sake. Poor luck with Morata going off, what do you want Conte to do? Play Batshuayi and have the ball bounce of him. By the way, last season when Costa wasnt available all 3 of Pedro, Willian and Hazard would start and the direct counters were quality. Or would you have him go 434? LOL. Yeh, lets have 2 CMs and hope Hazard and Willian can track the fullbacks and extra midfield man. Give me a break. If our attacking players knew the offside rule maybe this game would have turned out differently

Simeone was going nuts trying to change the formation. A draw to Arsenal with Hazard, Bakayoko on the bench and this thread goes apeshit about he was found out by Wenger. Be consistent. He found out Simeone.
-
The man deserves credit
-
If he presses the midfielder/fullback and gets crosses in the box he is better than him!
-
Re-examine your expectations this season. Top 3, get out of the CL group stage and hopefully a cup. I sound like a fucking arsenal supporter but still. Its the truth
-
Moses is so unintelligent. Give Zappacosta a chance. Fabregas should NEVER play in a midfield 2 against top six. Kante and Bakayoko always. Start Hazard from now on.
-
Cahill get out of the fucking team. That's on Conte. Pedro cant control a ball yet he's the only player we have who can shoot outside the box.

Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT Fucking SHIT
-
It has little to do with tactics. Conte's players are getting out passed an out run
-
Will drop points here today. Gut feeling. Midfield overrun. Attackers stifled. Gilfie with a smasher. A nice composed first half please chels to clam my troubled mind!
-
Good change of formation to stifle spurs. First five minutes we were actually comfortably in control of the game. Spurs normally swarm us. Allowed us not to get dominated by Wanyama and Dembele. After the defensive shit show last week, strong organisation away to Spurs was key
-
Keep us updated!
-
Yeh, because he has the options to make changes that wouldnt take us even further backward (hint: just how many of our cbs could be trusted in a back 4? PUT BEST DEFENDER IS AZPI WHO IS A FULLBACK!) how many different types of players has he been given to change the way the team plays? Or are you going to argue he CHOSE to keep the team stagnant?
-
Im pessimistic about this season as the squad currently stands. But boy oh boy am I happy Moses is suspended!!!! Yippy!!! You watch how much smoother our attacking is with Azpi playing rwb. He won't be running past people to the byline, but he'll be efficient. His head will be up and he will find Willian/Kante/Rudiger and pass much quicker than Moses. I expect possession to be recycled on our right much more efficiently. And anyway, when moses does dribble at players his crossing is piss poor anyway! And Azpu will SHUT SHIT DOWN on our right side. No more clueless Victor looking to stand in line with the other defenders oblivious to what's going on around him. Fuck it, i'm actually excited for this game. Go on Dave!
-
The smoke doesn't seem strong enough, but if we do get him I hope Conte isnt stupid enough to replace Alonso rather than Moses!!!!!!!!!
-
How about this. We see how he does and rate him fairly after every match? I can tell you im confident he wont start against Burnley.
