Bring Pedro off the guy is DRENCHED. Willian for the powerful running please. At least use mounts strength which is his movement off the ball. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

The refs a fucking Liverpool fan. The linesman would wave offside if Jorginho passes to zouma . Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

CAPTAIN AMERICA SMASHING LIVERPOOL. I was sceptical about this kid. But he has control. Looks to be a much better finisher than I thought he was and BOY is he fast. Faster than Eden. Left AWB behind on Sunday so what luck does Gomez have? He's gotta be first team gaffer! (Oh and some of his passes have been the shit. Not just the assist. Some sexy chipped ball across the defence to Emerson was unreal!) Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

If we finish 6th with no trophy frank hasn't failed. I don't even think he's underperformed. Outside the top 6 he has flopped imo. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Would there in principle be a situation this season where frank deserves criticism? Let's say we lose 5-0 tonight. All the same problems from Sunday happen and we are just as naive as when we went 2-0 down. Would that be dismissed as part of the learning curve? Or can we say ' you know what, for the players confidence right now it's important not to get hammered.' I'm not saying we will get smashed, but whilst one half of the forum (including me) are strongly pessimistic. The other half can't seem to handle frank getting criticised. Even when managers should be. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Spot on. It was like that in our last preseason match (the 2-2). Sort this out and We'll be fine. But it's pretty fundamental and without it we are fucked Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Barkley was the much better player in preseason. Because he *is* the better player. At least for the foreseeable future. His assists and goals throughout preseason were of a higher quality than mounts and against better teams. Judging Ross on Saturday is silly because he was shoehorned into a position that doesn't suit him. They should both be judged on how they play as a number 10. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

No there was great progress from the first match Klopp was in charge until they bought Alisson and VD. The season before last they made it to the CL final and conceded two unbelievable stupid goals with a confused keeper. That season they smashed city multiple times. In the league at home they killed them, and in that game that pressed as a whole team. City were shiting themselves even with 100m fullbacks. Doing it in the CL showed it was no fluke. Point being, Klopp made progress *defensively* before spending 150m on a keeper and defender. Anyway, unpopular opinion most likely, but no way Frank will have us playing like Klopp. He's had What, 7 years at coaching this sort of football? And he has improved since his Dortmund days. Frank will.kost likely need a similar time frame to see how this coaching ideas mould and change. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

But Klopp made progress with the same players any, but better players meant the improvement was to a greater degree. This isn't solely down to players, it can be coached. And we are quote bad at it so there is room for the players to improve. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Agreed. I think 6-8 games is a reasonable point to start expecting improvements in the space between defence, midfield and attack. If the problem continues then there are tactical worries. Klopp was just as vulnerable when he started with Liverpool but they improved consistently. Frank really has to sort that out if he wants to go gung ho Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Mourinho said it perfectly on sky and it's a problem we have had all preseason. We don't attack or defend as a team (he said "block") When we defend, we defend with 6 whilst Pedro, mount and Barkley stay up. When we press it's the reverse with our front 4 pressing. If we are going to press high, fine, but the whole team has to be compact high. There's huge disconnect between the front 4 and the 6 further back and has been all summer. If frank can't sort this out I hope he adapts and becomes more pragmatic. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Don't criticise until September. 2020
-
Please don't have both fullbacks forward at the same time. Don't choose one of CHO or Pulisic over the other and give Barkley a first 11 spot. Don't flinch in dropping Jorginho for Kante either.
-
The possession though. Obviously dominated. Like when we were dominated by Arsenal every year from 2005-10 but somehow won all the time. We were lucky. They played pretty. Don't let the 4-0 scoreline fool you!
-
C'mon guys let's not over react. Mount has looked lively hasn't he? I've really enjoyed the energy he's been a breath of fresh air. He stands real close to Abraham as well so they can play off each other. Silly Barkley moves between the lines. It's only 3-0. It's so refreshing to see the academy
-
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
-
You don't know football bro
-
Then he'll make another mistake. Mount has been toothless on the ball. Barkley has been strong, found good passes and made a dangerous chance
-
Kante Giroud and Pulisic
-
No time for breaks. They are either good enough or they aren't.
-
Abraham and Mount out the team please. No room for romantic feelings of youth. They aren't good enough to bench Giroud or Pulisic
-
Abraham.
-
Abraham is going to be so useful
-
His derby had big defensive problems last year and I saw the same in preseason. I think he has a good philosophy for how to play but I don't know if he can coach it successfully. We'll see

I've still got big doubts about Lampard as a manager but his attitude there couldn't be bettered
