We're awful. 7 shots on target all season. Zero so far in this game. Non-threatening. Build up play? Completely out of the question.
-
Ivanovic still in the team? Stealing a living now... I type this and the fecker goes and scores a volley to win it in the 90th minute.

The biggest difference between us and City financially is that they have an almost limitless amount of wealth, we don't. We rely on only one guy for our transfer budget. They have an entire conglomerate backing them. They're about to spend 150 mil pounds in this transfer window like it's nothing and can do so every season if they choose with the relaxing of FFP. We can't do this.
-
Might as well just give City the title then.

I agree with your other points, BUT.... Matic and defensive liability shouldn't be in the same sentence. Really, if not for Matic in our midfield, it could have been far worse for us today. Matic was also brilliant at Man City. Could have been far worse without him there as well. Fabregas is the main culprit in our midfield, it's blindingly obvious. But it only takes a little for some fans to have a go at Matic, while these same people fall over themselves to defend Fabregas. Not directed at you per se, but what's with the partiality for Fabregas in general, when an even better midfielder in Matic gets criticized for far less? It needs to be said a thousand times that Fabregas has become a total liability in that midfield and he's exposing our back four every time with amazing alacrity. Every game. Every game. Every match. He needs just as much as Ivanovic does. He and Ivanovic have been our worst players this season by far. Our right side is an utter shambles with both of these players there. Virtually all goes conceded this season comes from that side.

What I don't get is why exactly our board has been sitting on their hands for so long and why we're pursuing an almost unattainable target in the last week of the transfer window. Where were we when Schneirdelein went to United. Or Schweinsteiger. What about the Charles Aranguiz? We let him go to the Bundesliga. Why not go all out for Witsel now? The fact that as of 23/08/2015, we are stuck with Ramires and Mikel as alternatives for the extremely disappointing Fabregas is poor form from our board.

What is the obsession with Pogba? If and when he does leave, he will go to either Barcelona or Madrid. There are even rumours Barcelona has already agreed a deal for him and he'll join them as soon as their ban is lifted. He's not really as good as some of you seem to think he is or the insane fee Juventus are trying to milk from him. Let him join Barcelona.

Compared to the likes of Willian, he looked like Inzaghi.
-
John Terry has never had the pace, but it's never been a problem for him. He's still the same player he was last season or 4-5 seasons ago. He's just had an unfortunate start to the season, that's all. Against City, it was Cahill that was getting burned by Aguero, but JT was the one that got subbed out, and 1-0 went to 3-0. Even today, he was having a good game up to till the red card which wasn't entirely his fault. Anyone who thinks Stones is better than Terry right now is seriously deluded. And Fabregas involvement in our defensive woes is being completely ignored. I think there are far bigger problems with our team right now than John Terry.

Very good performance. A winger with with very good ball skills, decision making, that makes runs in behind and can finish. Schurrle had the runs and the finish but lacked ball skills and decision making. Willian lacks everything but the ball skills. No comment on Salah and Cuadrado. Pedro has shown what I expected basically and I believe we've finally found the right antidote to our right wing problem. Let's not get to excited though, teams will study him and make adjustments, but he'll give sides something else to think about, no doubt about that.
-
Apart from the avoidable penalty, I thought he was superb, at least defensively. Fabregas is going to tire out Matic in the 2nd half of the season leaving him to do a 2 man job in midfield.
-
Wow, doesn't take long for even a guy like John Terry to be hung out to dry by some fans. Shocking, but not surprising. Maybe Courtois should take some of the blame for not reading the situation by coming off his line to get that.
-
Absolutely abysmal "performance". Fabregas is fast becoming a liability these days. On another day, could have cost us the 3 points. Truth is we can't even bench him right now if we wanted to. Alternatives are Ramires and Mikel. Please Roman, bid for Witsel! Why are we wasting time bidding insane money for the overhyped Pogba when we can get Witsel or someone like that for less?
-
Falcao????? You've got to be kidding me? Perfect match for Remy to play with his pace. Amazing decision.
-
lol, Fabregas! This guy has been comical. His fall has been truly staggering.
-
Clattenburg to West Brom player : "I got this!"
-
Ivanovic turned again like a rag doll. You can't make this shit up!
-
Clattenburg has been such a biased bastard all game......Precisely because he's such a biased bastard. The most crooked ref in the league.
-
We get played through in midfield so easily! That hole in midfield with Fabregas needs to be addressed. We NEED another centre midfielder! One with positional sense and some pace in his legs. Not only is Fabregas non-existent defensively, with shocking positional awareness, but his contribution in attack is mediocre and has been for months.
-
Speechless...
-
Costa's link up play is poor.
-
Pedro is the player Willian wants to be. He was a reserve player at Barcelona, but he's twice the player Willian is. It just goes to show we can do better than the likes of Willian and Oscar in our first XI. A squad player at best. The same with Oscar, if I'm being perfectly honest. Some posters will get mad and rush to defend these two, but so be it.
-
Hazard was pretty special too, imo.
-
Am I lying?
-
Really brilliant half from both Pedro and Hazard. Costa much improved too. Fabregas mediocre. Willian is being typical Willian. Our defense still looks somewhat shaky, but if we're doing damage at the other end and look threatening and enterprising, I'm happy.
