Naive again. The top brass at City (Soriano, Begiristain etc) don't like or want Mourinho, the circus he creates or the football his teams' produce. The truth is after Mourinho's most recent meltdown, he's just not that much of an attractive option for Europe's elite.
-
Seems a strange way to refer to Roman.
-
If Dan Levene is reporting it, it's most likely legit.

There's still Sunday and Monday.

I've been in the air all day so I couldn't get a chance to watch this game live. What amazes me, (though not surprises me) is Mourinho had the temerity to put in Falcao, (his agent's client) instead of Remy, even after Remy scored the goal that got us back in it vs Stoke City and even after how diabolical Falcao has been. Any other manager out there would have gone with the hot hand today, not Mourinho. This just goes to show what a poor man manager Mourinho has become. The partiality he shows to certain players is not worthy of a Chelsea manager. He should be sacked just on this recurring theme alone. And those fans at The Bridge that were chanting his name, despite all Mourinho's transgressions this season, are nothing short of an embarrassment. Open your eyes! Mourinho knows he doesn't have what it takes to turn it around so he doesn't give a flying fuck anymore. He's only stalling for his paycheck. If he had any decency, he'll resign and forfeit money for the club he claims to love.

Stability??? Stabely a relegation candidate that's what we are!

Can't watch liveIn the airport listening to this atrocity of a game on talksport audio. Mourinho must get sacked, this is insane!

Really, everyone should read that fair and balanced Squawka article I posted by Greg Johnson. Mourinho fans will have serious problems refuting that. Bang on the money on most of his points.

Tailor-made

I'm just putting it out there because some still seem to be either downplaying or underestimating the predicament we find ourselves in. And of course it did occur to me that we're probably the best team to ever be in such a precarious position.
-
I just read somewhere (not sure how accurate) that no team in PL history with less than 13 points after 10 games has ever finished in the top 4.
-
Ahh, the famous por que? press conference. The poll results on that one are hilarious as well.
-
Yeah. Russia is a graveyard. I won't discount his achievements as a manager because of one bad spell in Russia of all places. Rudi Garcia and Pochettino are also interesting names. There are many others I can name, but the board needs to do its job.
-
Unai Emery has been brilliant everywhere he's been but I'm not sure how good his English is.
-
Thanks to Roman for the most part.
-
Sherwood sacked. Mourinho next. I see the "history" argument has cropped up again. What a load of tosh.

Mourinho shouldn't be given even an extra day after Monday, let alone an extra two weeks. He's done everything to damage this club on and off the pitch. His behaviour yesterday leaving his team out there to dry in that 2nd half was terrible. He has been extremely unprofessional. Which other manager in the club's history behaves like this guy? Which other manager in Europe of that pedigree behaves like Mourinho? Some of his supporters, and I'm not addressing the level headed ones like Alex for example, but the ones of a more cultish variety. You know, the ones you see all on twitter and shit. And some of the ones I've met personally. This is for you. Sir Alex. A manager Mourinho looks up to. That man got rightly criticized for some of his actions, but never behaved like Mourinho has done this season or most other seasons in his career. You see, Ferguson put his club before his own ego. Maintaining the prestige of the club he represented was foremost to him. He respected the institution that was Manchester United. At worst, Ferguson was a ruthless dictator, but he loved his club. Mourinho on the other hand, puts his ego before his club. He could give a damn about maintaining the prestige of his club(s). He does not respect the institution that is Chelsea and you can tell so by his actions. It's funny how he likes to speak of himself in 1st person; The way he spends more time reminding himself and journalists of his own personal achievements. This is not a language barrier issue as he also did like-wise in Spain and in Italy. Ferguson won 40+ trophies in his career, but very rarely did he use every opportunity to remind others about it. You see, Mourinho will never be Alex Ferguson. He will never build a dynasty at a football club. He's a quick fix guy, who works most effectively with only certain types of players. His lack of adaptability to coaching a different type of football has been exposed. I always laughed when he came out with the "one of us" line" . It was a clever way at tugging at the heart strings of some of his fans but for some of us, it was easy to see right through it because I've seen it all before with this guy. Actions speak louder than words. I've said it before, Mourinho and his team have always been very good at marketing his image. Initially I feel for the allure, I to was once a big fan, until I grew up. Mourinho is a self-centered narcissist with a tremendous ego that oversteps the bounds of what one can ever expect from a football manager. He does have some good traits, but for the most part, the negative traits go hand in hand with his coaching. I really do believe he suffers from a narcissistic personality disorder. I hope the way he behaves is really just a mock act for the football and doesn't translate to his personal life, but it's almost so convincing not to. Anyone, and I don't care your line of profession. Anyone who can humiliate a respected club doctor in such a fashion and cause said doctor to resign over nothing more than a power trip must be cold. It pains me to use such harsh words about a manager who has had great success at the football club. (Thanks quite a lot to Roman's money of course). It pains me even more that it had to be him. If I could, I'll take it all away and give it to an Ancelotti. A true gentleman and class representative of any club. Or better yet, to Vialli or Di Matteo. Guys who bled on the pitch for us. Guys who were truly one of us.

We need stability. The board have backed him and it would be easy to press the panic button. Stability with Mourinho was always going to be impossible. Controversy upon controversy follows him wherever he goes. He drains his players, club and even fans to the point of exhaustion. His expiry date is 2 seasons, not even the 3 that many like to say. For a manager who is advertised (or who advertises himself) as a tactical genius, he is very limited tactically. He is also an egomaniac. If we wanted stability, we should have gone for someone else initially. Who else can we bring in? Ancelotti wouldn't want to come back after getting the sack for finishing 1st and 2nd in his two seasons. There's really no-one better available right now. Hiddink at least as an interim manager is not a bad idea. Then in the summer, the board and the owner can come to a decision for a permanent manager who has a history of some kind of longevity and who can actually make use of the youth team. A project the owner has poured literally 100's of millions of pounds of his own money into. How much can we really blame him? He wasn't backed by the board in the transfer window. Instead of signing Pogba and Stones and keeping Cech, like he wanted to, we signed Stoke's number one, replaced a club legend with a failure and signed Michael fucking Hector to solve our defensive crisis. Pedro aside, we failed in the transfer window. We learnt nothing from City's implosion last season because they, similarly, did not strengthen. This is a terrible argument. We are actually at least as strong, if not stronger than were last season. Who have we actually lost that did anything really relevant for us last season? Cech was a reserve goalkeeper. Filipe Luis was a reserve left-back. Drogba was 38 and only had so much to give us. This season, we've signed Pedro, one of the best wingers in the world. He started like a house on fire, but he quickly sank into the mediocrity that surrounded him like all our players this season. 15th. That's our league position. Some implosion. See things out til the end of the season and see where we are. Other managers may be available - Pep, an yone? - and that way we're not burdened by another interim manager the same way we have been in 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2013. When you put it like that, it shows how embarrassingly quick we are to fire managers. See out till the end of the season? Chelsea Football Club is a world renowned multi-million pound organisation. I'll rather be "embarrassed" (like other clubs don't hire and fire managers) than see this club take 10 steps back. We can't put Mourinho's interests and what others think of us ahead of reality. He's the best manager in the club's history and has earned the right to dig us out of this mess. Irrelevant. This line has been parroted over and over since Mourinho came out with his ego-driven proclamation. And by the same token, he's been our worst manager in the Roman era this season and one of the worst in modern times (if you think about it).
-
A very well thought out argument. Normally, this is what you do when you don't have anything meaningful to contribute.
-
From a tactical and technical perspective, why is there any reason to believe in Mourinho? What are the serious arguments FOR, because there are many AGAINST. Has he ever in his career dragged a team out of the proverbial quagmire before? A quagmire he himself created? NO. History tells us things are only going to get worse. Right now, we're 15th. A relegation side. Madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
-
Not only has Mourinho been poor at his job this season, he's having a bad influence on the club. Blind faith is blind faith. This is why he needs to leave, even if it means an interim manager. Hiddink is available. Roman knows him and more importantly, he's done an amazing job here before. We need to stop thinking with our hearts and start thinking with our heads. What's best for Chelsea first before anything.
-
It's all about blind faith in so-called "stablilty" now. Anyone who seriously thinks this unstable individual can bring long term success and stability to this club needs to get his/her head examined. (And I say that with all due respect). There is absolutely no cause for optimism and no light at the end of the tunnel. And even if there is a glimmer, the horrid/unwatchable football will continue. We've outgrown him now and he's dragging us down to his level. I dare anyone to rebut that. On a more general note, with the way things are shaping up, we're in serious danger of missing out of Champions league football and losing our best players. Words cannot describe how much of a fucking disaster that will be for our club. We aren't Madrid or Man United. We can't just "cope" with that blow. The plug needs to be pulled now. So so dissapointed in the decision making process at this club.

Well, he's tall enough!
