Apparently had 100+ touches today. When was the last time a non-defender, hell ANY Chelsea player had 100+ touches in a game vs the big 6? Certainly not under the previous regimes. Normally it was Courtois with the most touches Hopefully those days are gone and never to be remembered. No doubt Jorginho is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in world football. Still needs to adjust to the speed and tempo of the English game though.

Its unbelievable how much of an imprint he's already made on the way we play in such a short period of time. Manchester City needed a whole season and a shit ton of transfers/money spent to implement Guardiola's philosophy. Sarri in reality has only signed one of his own players in Jorginho. Transitioning from Mourinho/Conte ball to Sarriball is literally night and day, hell and heaven. It normally should take a minimum of 1 season and a couple of transfer windows. This brand of football is much more difficult and much more sophisticated than what both of our previous managers brought, particularly Mourinho. I'm impressed how far along we are already after a pre-season, community shield and 2 games. No one should moan about the defending. City were poor defensively 2 seasons ago, suffering several heavy trashings. It's a brand of football that requires time and patience and finally I think our sometimes fickle board might have seen the light.

I have a feeling he's going to have a better campaign than the overrated Willian this season. He was woeful last season no thanks to Conte. Pedro will enjoy Sarriball.

I only watched the 2nd half and missed the 1st. Hazard and Kovacic were amazing. The former is standard but the latter was fantastic. All of a sudden positive about the season than I've ever been. We still need to do something about Luiz for Christensen. I just dont see Luiz surviving as a starter throughout the season. Alonso will get a pass from me for now. Amazing match and football. I can't believe we're playing this sort of football now. That was better than anything we played last season entertainment wise.

Just started watching this. Heard its been exciting. KTBFFH, C'mon The Chels!!

I've never gone into a season more concerned. No reliable goalscorer again the same insane mistakes. If you can't score, you can't win games. Will be lucky to get top 4 this season. Hoping for some Sarri magic but it's not fair on him to expect to paint lemons golden.

I don't think anyone has criticized or been impatient with Sarri. Most of the criticism has gone to the numerous amount of mediocre players we currenty have on our books. Most of the criticism has also gone to our board (of which the footballing side mostly comprises of Roman and Marina) for yet again failing to improve an ageing uninspiring squad despite finishing 30 points behind the Champions. Most of the workload has yet again been heaped on yet another new manager. But Sarri isn't Harry Potter. He's not a magician. The chickens are slowly but surely coming home to roost while our board watches on from on high.

30 points behind City and the board thinks its most appropriate to bring in 1 senior player to help close the gap - Jorginho Hazard - "I want good players" Board - "Go f**k yourself Eden"

We look old, slow and bland. Our board thinks Hazard and Kante can close a 30 point gap on their own are seriously delusional and I'm pointing fingers at Marina and Roman since that is what comprises the sporting side of our "board". 30 points behind and the only signing is Jorginho. Hazard "i want to play with good players" but the only signing is Jorginho. We're holding on to Sarri like he's some god. The 1 year contract extension for Pedro is just a microcosm of our current maliaise. We wont even let Courtois go to Madrid with less than a year on his contract. We're also scared to lose Willian of all people. We've become desperate and scared.

I saw a lot of people on twitter say we dont need Golovin because we have a lot of midfielders. Okay we'll see how that works. Fabregas is a waste of space against any of the top teams. Barkley is a totally unknown quantity and he's already 25 but has shown little to fulfill his initial promise. I dont rate RLC as highly as others here. I' m all for giving RLC as our youth product a spot but I feel the natural heir to that spot is playing in Derby now for Lampard.

Whether you want to admit it or not but with each passing game this guy more resembles the Torres nightmare. Sarriball wont save him. I see another season of comical misses and a depressing lack of confidence. He'll waste 10 extra assists from Hazard. F** him until further notice. I cant stand his "woe-is-me" body language either. We finished 30 points behind City and our board thought the best way to close the gap was to sign only 1 senior player and change the manager. It shows we have no direction at the top with Roman and Marina. We still have a clown as our main Centre Forward. I'm pretty confident in saying right now that City, Liverpool and Spurs will finish above us. United too if Mourinho can hold back his expected 3rd season meltdown. You're just not going to win enough games in any league without a striker regardless of how good the football is. Hazard will probably be our highest scorer again. Our board is putting all their faith in Batshauyi and a Morata that looks broken and wants to be elsewhere? What a joke.

Its probably going to have to have to be Christensen and Rudiger at some point during the season most preferably as soon as possible before we're already 10 points behind City. It's probably also going to have to be Emerson for Alosno. Sarri still needs to learn his players. He will soon realize what is clear to some of us. Luiz and Alonso cant get it done in a back four. The former will never have the required discipline and positional sense and the latter is just an ordinary player.

Caballero has really prevented an embarrassment here. I hope Sarri figures out Alonso is a fraud ASAP. All he ever does is put aimless crosses in the box when he gets in the final 3rd.He cant defend and is slow as hell as well. The man is and will always be a midtable level footballer. I hope Emerson is something special. Cant wait to see the back of Alonso.

3 Year plan Hazard, Courtois and Kante are gone. Some of you need to put down the football manager and be realistic. We're going to have to pay for the past transgressions of Mourinho and Conte whether you like it or not.

We need to sign a striker as we currently dont have one. How can you talk about multi-year plans when your squad lacks in one of the most important positions on the pitch? This is 2013/14 all over again and it could even be worse because the level of our rivals is far higher in 2018/19 than 2013/14

Actually we wont be fine until we sign a great striker to replace Morata. And if the answer is Martial who hasnt even played there in years and who has been a flop at United, then what is the question? With Morata up front we won't be finishing in the top 4 again
