  1. One of our worst sides to date and the year we made unwanted history. A lot has changed since then.
  2. Modern football. We aren't exactly at the top anymore, so the club are trying to bridge the gap. I just hope this doesn't affect the club long term.
  3. We're supposedly doing it with CHO (ignore the "potential" noise), so it would hardly be surprising. Gone are the days where JT was the highest paid.
  4. It's solely down to the FA. They are following the new FIFA rules by the letter but allowing refs leeway in penalty calls, etc to prevent breaks in play. The latter shouldn't be a thing at all, as most should know about the current standard of refeering in the Prem.
  5. Finally realise they are the only takers.
  6. I know it's unlikely now, but I hope things will slowly go the way of Cech by the time we can buy again.
  7. We can live in hope Cech's appointment will have an effect.
  8. Really wish CHO was fit right now (providing that contract nonsense has been dealt with). There would be a possibility to get rid before the European window shuts.
  9. Another case of the board not picking the right option & the player paying the price as a result. Can see it getting cut short in January already.
  10. It doesn't matter, as the offence continues inside the box. I believe a number of decisions ought to have been changed (foul on Azpi, Martial & Kane); this sort of handling of VAR will backfire once teams step into European competition, etc. Anyone else in Ole's shoes would have been sacked. Got to feel for someone like Moyes in comparison.
  11. Been excluded for all three match days (2 league, 1 Cup) so far. Not a great sign
  12. When you have a clincial striker, you normally win.
  13. I presume you mean Kelly? Cahill was fortunate not to get a red for being the last man.
  14. 3 mins added either half for the water break & multiple stoppages in the Spurs game.
  15. Both were fortunate to win their opening games, so it isn't that surprising.
  16. The use of VAR in the Prem is more than questionable.
  17. Probably the best FK you'll see this season. I was honestly surprised Liverpool let him go out on loan.
  18. It's hard to find level-headed take on yesterday's performance for what it was rather than some sort of justification.
  19. He had 2 goals in 8 prior to yesterday's brace. The hot take about the penalty miss couldn't be further from the truth; had he score the winner against Leicester, everyone would have been delighted. P.S. Tammy might be a "kid", but he's probably taken more professional penalties than those two combined.
  20. There are a number of gems to be had with proper scouting.
  21. Involved in 21 goals in his first season in Europe and Basel got to a EL semi IIRC - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdaten/spieler/148455/plus/0?saison=2012 Mount involved in 17 at Derby - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mason-mount/leistungsdaten/spieler/346483/plus/0?saison=2018 I highly doubt Mount will better either tally, but it's irrelevant nonetheless. Mount has a long way to go.
  22. You would expect so considering Salah had just moved to Europe at 20 years old. [emoji849]
  23. No, I'm talking about CB's that were fit during that time (Luiz, AC, Zouma, Tomori). The 4-0 result seemingly justified that train of thought for some. I completely disagreed, of course.
