My view on Marina is that she has dealt with all/most transfer business since Emenalo's departure. Does rejecting bids not fall up "dealing with transfer business" as well? Neither of us have a definative answer on the matter, so there isn't going to be a right or wrong party in the discussion.

That's what I was alluding to, but we haven't exactly brought in the targets needed. I highly doubt Sarri requested Higuain 6 months into his tenure rather than day 1. Sarri wanted Pulisic? Who's rejected countless bids for Willian? First I've heard of that. Everything I had read prior pointed to Carlo's relutance.

Roman seemingly has very little say aside from the odd personal target (Torres) & the last scout I heard about in relation to the club was Arnesen. I've seen quotes from the latter over the last year talking about recommendations too. The less said about manager targets, the better. Marina certainly has something to do with the Willian saga for instance and she seems to be up to it again with Baka. Having said all that, @Vesper brought the actual timing of Emenalo's departure to my attention, which might explain the last wave of duds we signed. This is what I'm hoping for, but that train of thought was also shot down by a few.

I don't have one. Every comment the poster has made about any striker somehow goes back to Tammy where is no correlation between the two in most cases. Learn to notice the trend before jumping in with assumptions.

You can only score against the opposition you're actually fielded against, so.... He has more goals than our two CF's combined after three games. I'm aware of that. His lack of pace is exploited in such scenarios. Go chasing against Utd with him upfront failing to beat the first man and then, he's nowhere to be seen defensively. He can't excel at both parts of the game (maybe neither at this point). As I previously said, CB or bust for him at this point.

Utd makes the most sense with that naive transfer dealings, but they will have to easily top the fee Dortmund received for Dembele due to City's odd clause.

During his best years, he wasn't asked to fly forward so different parts of his game weren't exposed (crossing being the biggest one). It's been a different story since Conte left and we're seeing the obvious flaws he's had from day one. People can't expect him to be "tactically aware" on the overlap.

His legs have gone and that's the most important thing for a FB. I can only see him having a future at CB here.
