Realistically speaking spending that money would also mean that Kovacic becomes an automatic started and would be ahead of Barkley, Loftus-Cheek and Mount in the pecking order before the next season even begins simply because of his price tag. I prefer this current situation where there are multiple players having a seemingly fair battle for that position.
