alright, fair enough

It's not Terry who needs to be dropped! It's who plays alongside him at the back that affects the way he plays! Alex is probably the best partner for Terry because the two of them even each other out, even Gary Neville saw that... and I have to say, much as I hate looking at his face, he does talk a lot of sense! Luiz, yes, he seems like a Carvalho-esque player (and by that I mean, the role of a sweeper), but he really needs to control his temper sometimes and just get on with it, even when you're wound up during a game, it can affect your performance mentally, or even worse, get you sent off

After losing to Liverpool, you could say, this match has turned from an easy set of points to a stern test!
-
could well be! When Terry was in his prime, and Mourinho was manager, Chelsea played boring football with a defensive line, and it was a benefit for Terry... if you think about it, playing a high line with Terry who is 31 next month sounds as if we really are pushing the boat out with our tactics!

I'm kind of beginning to understand what Terminator X said right after the transfer window had ended, that "Meireles is a stand in signing because we didn't get Modric" .... no disrespect to Meireles because he's been really good for Chelsea when he's played, but the real villain is Daniel Levy! Had Modric have signed for us back then, our midfield would have an "engine", which Sh0n3x so rightly put it in his post! Even with Mata in the attack, there is still no creativity in our midfield. You have to understand, that even though Mata plays as though he can sift a ball into the penalty box, he is still a winger. Lampard is definitely not the same midfielder player he was 5 years ago, and Michael Essien keeps getting the recurring injuries, making him religiously injury prone, and that's not what we want in our side... and at some point or another, we are going to have to replace them! We NEED someone creative, and after watching the first 12 league games of the season, there's hardly anyone in our side that does even that!!
-
To answer your question! Yes he has past it... he is not the player he was some 5 years ago, but his leadership is still unmatched!
-
I do actually agree with you there!
-
fair shout!
-
seriously, do you ever say anything positive??
-
For those trying to slag us off, just try reading this because it is pure genius! Hats off to you KingEssien... a proper Chelsea supporter!

Agree with absolutely everything there! Malouda shouldn't have even started on the left, he is a total liability.. only on rare occaisions does he show any real class, and it annoys me! Mata plays so much better in his position, and Sturridge should be playing on the right as well (although I am aware that he's not a winger) but still, whether Sturridge is a winger or not, he still threatens players in that position, otherwise he wouldn't have scored! And as for Mikel, he's a fucking sloth compared to Romeu, he's too slow at making decisions, and thus led to the reason why he got raped by Adam in the first half which led to Liverpool's first goal... Romeu is 10 times quicker than Mikel physically and mentally, which is why we need to be playing him more...

Fuck this ... time to think of some positives from that game ... The beginning of the second half saw Sturridge in his true prime! As soon as Mikel came off, there was a sense of urgency from our attack, and we got a goal out of it... and this proves, that Sturridge needs to play more! My main question, is why didn't Sturridge play at the beginning?? We could have scored 1 or 2 goals from the crosses that Cole and Ivanovic were putting into the box. Either Drogba or Malouda could have easily scored from them and rack up a cricket score! Our main worm in our side, is the defence, I don't know what it is, but for some reason, we are giving opposing sides far too much space in attack, exactly like what happened against Arsenal... and it leads to crucial plays, leading to goals! Our defence is far too hot-headed as well, and it leads to yellow cards.. Luiz was the biggest weakness of all because he was getting too suckered into a challenge and therefore risking getting either wound up, or reprimanded by Probert... the same would apply to Ivanovic at times too! But this isn't one of those petty little problems... this is happening every other game... I keep hoping and praying that AVB sorts something out in the next game, showing some kind of improvement, but it's just the same... if this carries on, I'm going to have to start dreaming about who could possibly be our next manager... Roman is capable of another sacking, much as that might seem a worrying factor! But whatever the score... win or lose, up the blues!!
-
And we all thought last season was bad, it's like nature's way of telling us "you ain't seen nothing yet" We are officially FUCKED! Liverpool and Arsenal are both level with us on points, while Sp*rs have TWO games in hand... we could be 7TH by next week.... :o
-
Dude, that is wearing it a bit thin!!
-
PISS FUCKING OFF!!!
-
That was one of the worst displays I have ever seen against Liverpool... absolutely disgraceful... Luiz has been too hot-headed, and he's led to silly mistakes at the back, clearly our weakness right now! and as for Mikel... what the fuck was he thinking?? Adam ate him up and it led to their goal... absolutely pitiful and embarrassing!! We better fucking sort it out second half...
-
4 words... "Mikel.... what the FUCK??"
-
Really hyped up for this!! Time to put away the bin dippers!!!
-
It's a really nice idea, but I'm perplexed as to how it would work to be fair.. all our talking happens on the forums anyway.. I guess if people wanted to go on a live chat, maybe that's what it's intended for...
-
God help us!
-
HAHA! That is class

I thought I'd bump this because I know Jusek is a huge hockey fan, and I for one, am determined to get this thread going like the Cricket thread at the moment, seeing as I am still getting to grips with the NHL season as I've been casually looking at the NHL website on news regarding regular matches!! And I'm growing a real interest in the Canucks because of the Sedin brothers Is there anyone else on this forum who has an interest, (albeit a dim one, but every slight interest counts) in the sport? Here's a nice little compilation of the Sedin brothers! I have to say, they look pretty damn good as a pairing!

Speaking of Alex.. interesting fact I've found... Alex has only played 2 full 90 minute games for us this season, both of which have been our only 2 clean sheet matches vs Stoke and Blackburn... should we play him all game today??
